Site 60 | great location | great amenities…read more We stayed one night in our sprinter van along the way to Yellowstone. This place is perfect for what we needed. Our site was close to trash bins to empty our trash and a one minute walk to the bathroom and camp kitchen area, if we needed to do some cooking. Our site has a nice little picnic table and fire ring. Lots of folks were using the fire pits, so there is no fire ban here. We are so close to the lake! Lots of trees here and our spot has enough shade to hide from the hot summer sun. Our site was #60 with an electrical hookup, thank goodness. It helped us not to drain our battery when using the a/c. Our site is in between a cabin site and a tent site. The site is small and fits our 24ft van perfectly. The big thing was that it is level! No adjusting. There is a store in the front and a swimming pool, which is popular when it's hot out. I did not need to do laundry, but they also offer that here. Patchy internet at our site, but we were able to use our starlink instead. Overall, we can't complain because this is glamping to us with all of our needs met. I recommend stopping here if you need a place to camp on your way to Yellowstone.

The family got a pontoon for a four (4) hour block from 2pm to- 6pm for $300 (I should note that we actually had it for 5 hours, but they were courteous to people getting lost along the shoreline!) ;^D SETUP The boats - as far as boats are concerned - are very well-made, easy to drive, turn on a dime, have a very high clearance as they set up on the water that makes it easier for them to navigate through more shallow water. They are also incredibly fast and approach speeds easily of 40 knots per hour (KPH), roughly 43 miles per hour (MPH). Since we had my two (2) year old nephew Zygfryd (aka "Wiggly Ziggy") with us, there were items (ie. hats, bags of chips, wake boards, etc.) from inside the boat that "accidentally" found themselves in the water. The Pontoon easily spun around and allowed us to gather up the misplaced items. The pontoon also featured very convenient overhead covers to protect us from the sun. Still, I would highly recommend - as a sunburn survivor from a prior trip - to BRING YOUR SUNSCREEN! You will need it, believe me! We rented ours for 2 hours and had fun riding it along the trail. The staff is very friendly and does their best to provide all the information you need to have a pleasant experience. We later stopped by the restaurant to grab some coffee and breakfast. We ordered a couple of breakfast burritos and they were kind enough to make one without meat for me. The burritos tasted good.

A beautiful and fairly popular hike! Since you're hiking up a mountain, there is definitely some…read moreuphill climbing. I'd describe it as a gradual incline, so you'll still get a workout, but it's nothing too difficult. One thing I really appreciated was that there are benches all along the trail... almost like they knew people would need a few breaks! The view from the top is absolutely worth it. There are a few shortcuts you can take, but be aware they're much steeper than the main trail, both going up and coming back down. We did this hike with our teens, a toddler and a baby. Our toddler walked a surprisingly large portion before needing a ride (we came prepared with a carrier) and we also had grandparents in their 60s with us who completed the hike without much trouble. Overall, we saw people of all ages enjoying the trail, which says a lot about how accessible it is. The only downsides were that parking is pretty limited when it's busy and the bathrooms were unfortunately dirty and smelled bad. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this hike. The beautiful views, well maintained trail, and frequent benches make it a great outing for families and hikers of all ages.
