Chipotle sandwich. Doesn't look like much but it was delicious

The sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich is insane! The sausage and the bread are excellent quality. Pro tip: ask for your potatoes to be crispy. I perfected my order towards the end of summer. The peach poppy seed salad is light and refreshing. That became my go to order on really hot days when I couldn't fathom having to make dinner. If they added prosciutto to it this would hit so much harder. It's the best salad on the lake. We went on a Italian soda binge this summer! The blue raspberry was the best. Service still takes awhile so we call it in and then pick it up about 40 minutes later. If you have time to kill it's a great spot but it's usually packed inside and out. We always get bummed they don't stay open during winter.

Harrison Idaho is a small town ¾ of the way down the eastern side of Lake Coeur d'Alene. It's an old town that was probably a haven for miners or loggers before they had roads running along the lake. There are historic looking buildings in various stages of decay or restoration, each with its own esthetic quality. One of these buildings is across the street from Cycle Haus, a huge metal storage building on the lake, too expensive to refurbish or tear down. Either way, it provides a great backdrop for eating a sandwich on the balcony. My wife and I shared a sandwich at Cycle Haus on our way through town. We were taking a driving tour of the lake on a coolish, rainy day. Harrison was a pleasant surprise. It is a major stopping point for the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes, a large, paved bike route along the lake and through impressive northern Idaho countryside. It is at the top of my list of pave bike trails that I will hopefully return to try out. A prerequisite for great paved bike trails is a sandwich and beer shop catering to bikers. Cycle Haus provides a great spot for bikers with plenty of outdoor seating, places to set your bike, sandwiches, beers, and a relaxing view of the small town.

Loved this place for renting bikes, they seemed a bit understaffed during peak hours (lunch) so after our ride we only ordered beers instead of food items. The wonderful woman manning the store solo today deserves a raise! She was doing both the front and back store and it was legit as good as it could have gone with one person manning the fort!

Highly recommend renting long range electric bike. Super fun! Rode 2 hours north through the Wetlands and saw all sorts of wildlife including Moose, mamma and twins plus a young male hanging out in the water. This was around 10/11am. Lots of deer, storks?, deer, ducks and I am sure lots more. Great if you like birds. The only thing was bikes need to have back up batteries if taking for 24hrs. So you could do more time.

Great happy hour food! Nice location after our fun ride. Pretzels were delicious and the loaded fries were good too.

CLBP is just on the north side of 90 adjacent to the Wallace RV park. The inside is very comfortable and inviting. It was quite busy at noon on a Saturday afternoon so service was a little slow. No worries though especially since there was a crowd because of the ladies homesteading gathering being in town. Weird but I didn't go with a flight this time. I started with a pint of the Pulaski Porter while SWPFTD went with the Mountain Top amber. Both were quite tasty. I ordered the French dip sandwich which was fantastic. SWPFTD had the Reuben which was also very good. Yes, I ate part of her sandwich. I wrapped up with a pint of the milk stout on nitro and SWPFTD had the blood orange IPA. The IPA didn't work for me but I never love the blood Orange. The milk stout was really good though. CLBP is a great stop in Wallace! If anyone is a glutton for punishment, please, follow my brewery, and distillery, reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! https://www.yelp.com/collection/-8iscFkpiiCI563-FDfwGg and if anyone is wondering who SWPFTD is you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to understand. Yes, you will need to read into it a little to get the joke but I have confidence in you! I hope my confidence is not misplaced.

It honestly looked as though it hadn't been properly rinsed or inspected before being served. I brought it to the waiter attention. Her attitude was careless. My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad, and it was just as disappointing. The dressing had the consistency and taste of straight mayonnaise rather than a Caesar dressing, and the chicken was so overcooked and unappetizing that it was difficult to recognize as chicken. He couldn't eat it and ended up leaving the entire salad. We also ordered the brisket tacos. The slaw tasted as if it sat around for days ,the tortilla seemed to be thrown on the plate without being heated very doughy texture. The chicken was un recognizable. We did send that back. We were expecting fresh, quality food, especially something as simple as a salad. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst restaurant salads we've had. We hope the restaurant pays closer attention to the freshness of its ingredients and overall food quality. Bag lettuce I'm sure if and should have been clean and inspected.

The fry sauce was top of the line and the CFS was up there in quality. Momma's fish and chips were cooked without excess oil and I believe they were cod. She did substitute sweet potato fries that seemed to please her, but be aware there is an upcharge. Our friend had a standard fare hamburger with the tasty high quality beef that was hanging over the edges of the bun. The beer selections were limited, but well varied so you will find something you like. My point is that while this is an off the beaten path eatery, it is worth the detour!

You'll end up getting an onion sandwich with a little bit of diced up meat in it. I have never had a worst sandwich in my life. Took one bite and told them to take it back and then they only gave me a 30% discount and said that that's the way they make it. The bacon wrapped asparagus was pretty much all bacon. The asparagus was skinny and overcooked. At least the flavor was good. The drinks weren't good and the water was not drinking water. They should be using that water to wash the tables and that's about it. Unfortunately, I will never go back to the hilltop. And I've had plenty of good experiences there in the past. It's a shame because we used to really like going to the Hilltop.
