Rocky Top Harley-Davidson is a good Harley location. On a recent visit to Pigeon Forge we stopped into this store, just to check it out. We didn't end up purchasing anything, but they have a good selection of clothing and merchandise. We looked around at parts as well, and they also had a lot in stock, we just weren't in the market for anything that day. They also have quite a few bikes on location, both new and pre-owned, and we enjoyed looking at those too. We always love stopping into Harley-Davidson stores, and I'm sure we'll go back to this one the next time we're in the area. read more

The two women working in the women's department were extremely helpful helping me find a pair of boots. The sole of one of my boots broke on the ride from Atlanta so I desperately needed a new pair. I called the store ahead of time and they gave me the names of all of the boots they had in stock which was super helpful. Once I looked online at the styles I called back to inquire about sizes. My husband and I are on vacation and riding the Smoky Mountains. Our 2019 Street Glide Special (with 2998 miles) was making an odd sound. So far from home and our campsite we pulled into Rocky Top HD. Not only were the service attendants ridiculously prompt, they whizzed our bike right into their service bay, replace front AND rear wheel bearings simply during the time we had breakfast and one drink at the saloon. Our experience at Rocky Top was beyond amazing. We recently stopped in to look for a hoodie for my wife, and unfortunately they had none, but a 2020 Street Glide in Tahitian teal caught my eye. The bike was gorgeous and Matthew came, introduced himself and answered any questions we had. We were not in the market for a bike and my wife said no way. After we left we talked about it some more and my wife said we would buy it if they took what she would offer. I told her there was no way they would accept the order on a 2020 but still gave the offer to Matthew. We were shocked beyond belief when after some back and forth they did in fact accept it. We ended up purchasing the bike and were amazed at how we were treated. We have purchased bikes from 4 other dealerships in the past and the experiences with them pale in comparison to Rocky Top. All the employees were outgoing and helpful and they do not treat you like a nobody once the sale goes through, in fact, they treat you like a member of the family. Nothing much to say other than they had a great selection of Harley clothes- very clean, offered free coffee- and they do have 3 convienently located HD's in that area of TN. I did however find the Hillbilly HD in Gaitlinburg had more selection of sizes available. :) read more

My husband and I traveled to Pidgeon Forge, while there our Harley started making a "noise ". Having to drive back to Murfreesboro- we stopped at Rocky Top Harley Davidson. While having no appointment- wasn't sure what to expect. The service people were amazing- helped us immediately- determined the noise was the fuel pump and unfortunately they didn't have the needed one. Calls were made for us to other Harley dealerships- Long story short- they did all this without any cost to us. So I can imagine how they would treat returning customers if they were so accommodating to drop Ins with no appointments! When they change a tire they will do wheel bearings even if you tell them not to! They will tell you they have parts that they do not have! They will incorrectly reassemble your motorcycle! The parts salesman Sean is a fight-starting jerk! Go there if you are desperate and they'll send you out the door with attitude on an unsafe, dangerous to ride motorcycle. BEWARE! If they service bikes that come in on trade I wouldn't even consider having one. Terrible experience, worst day of my life. read more

On 05-12-21 my wife and I went to Myrtle Beach bike rally, rode down in the cold rain, no problems. But gas mileage is off since the new hot rod build and right hand and shoulder in some pain since no cruise control. My wife rides a 2012 Road Glide she has placed about 45,000 on her bike it has the 103-engine twin cam. Well after trip she said I should look for a newer motorcycle. I was going to go with a different motorcycle but my RK was and still is a great motorcycle. I figure since I have such great luck with my 2000 Road King I would just buy another Harley. So, I stated looking around found one I like, it was in Pigeon Forge, TN. The guy was a second owner of a 2015 Road Glide Special the color Superior Blue, it had a chrome front end, chrome HD front 19" front rim, back rest drive and passenger, GPS, cruise, boom radio. The bike is pretty much already set up with all the goodies. To I reached out to the guy (Keeping his name private because he and his family buys bikes at Rocky Top) selling the motorcycle, he stated he purchased from Rocky Top HD from Pigeon Forge. So, by now I am excited I found the motorcycle of was wanting. Before reaching out to Rocky Top I reached out to friends that are General Managers, Finance Managers and sell personal at another Harley Davidson in NC. Friday 05/21/2021 First of all - BAD/GOOD, I emailed twice and called 3 times before I got in contact with Kim Latham - Finance at Rocky Top. She stated she tried calling me back but had the wrong number. Ok no problem we are in contact now. I told her what I was wanting to do. She got my SS, ran my credit, I told her I wanted to pay down to $10,000 so my payment would be about $200 to $225 a month. She said no problem. She asked if I wanted a warranty I told her she can price one and if I wanted one I would take it. That was nice, Kim stated you are good to go when will this happen I told her Sunday around 11:00 to 11:30 am Sunday morning 05/23/2021. Sunday 05/23/2021 Great - I get to the HD dealership I test ride motorcycle, I like the bike the guy and his fiancé was super nice sad to get rid of it but starting a new life together and need the money to buy a house. BAD - We go in find Kim Latham I introduce myself and the guy selling the motorcycle. Kim was rude right off, said I don't have you down as an appointment. I told her Friday before getting off phone we would be there Sunday around 11:00 to 11:30am. Kim stated well Josh never told me and I could not get connected with him. I said we are here now an we want to do the Rider to Rider purchased. So, they looked at the guy selling the motorcycle and said what motorcycle are you buying? He stated he wasn't going to buy. She said we can't do this rider to rider. I said HD web page saying you can. BAD - Kim goes to Steve Ownby - General Manager office, he comes out with a worst attitude than Kim had when we walked in the office and introduced my-self to her. No hello, No how are you doing, No how can we help you, No welcome to Rocky Top what do you need to today, nothing he was a just plan DICK. Yes a DICK. He stated we don't offer that in our office, I stated Harley Davidson does offer that Rider to Rider Purchase, he said we don't do that here. BAD/WORST -Steve Ownby - General Manager stated to me and Kim we will do it this one time as a favor to the seller since he and his father has purchased about 5 motorcycle here. It's his job to do that, to me they didn't want to do there job. I told the seller we can go to another HD and see if we get better service. So, Kim jumped on it and became nicer. Steve kept saying it's a favor, I all BS on it. BAD - I got an ok rate of 6.49% but I got an 827-credit score, but Kim and Steve would not let me put down $8,000 like I stated before on Friday. I am a local to this store. I have purchased 2 motorcycles from them and my father has purchased 1. All of those experiences were great until Sunday 5/23. I financed my last motorcycle through Harley, i had some things come up and wanted to sale it. So i found a buyer and went into Harley for him to buy the bike from me. During this, the GM Steve, was rude since I had not traded my bike in for a smaller bike that was sort of pushed into me telling me it was my only viable option. So he kept making small comments here and there about my "lack of communication" since they called me while i was at work and could not answer the phone. Then the finance lady Kim wouldn't work with my buyer on how much money he was aloud to put down on the bike and limited him to what she wanted. She also made rude comments about me not trading down to a lesser bike. They also wouldn't transfer a warranty bought through them but other locations would allow it. All Steve seemed to worry about is the #1 patch on his chest and sales. Not worried about helping customers and instead lashes out over the phone after the fact. Since the buyer of my bike left a bad review. In all, me or my family will not be doing any business with any of their locations again and I'll be sure to let all of my friends and family members know what happened on my last visit. read more

Our whole experience at Rocky Top was the best. Our salesman Mike was on the spot the whole time till the deal was done and did everything he said he would do. My son is the proud new owner of a Road Glide now. I recommend giving Mike and Rocky Top HD a shot before buying! While this is a small dealership it has a big dealership attitude. The owner does own a few dealerships w one in Maryville thats rather large and has a big selection if Rocky Top doesn't have what u need a short ride away. Dropped my Harley off on Thursday morning as soon as they opened, first in the door. Was told bike would be finished by 1:00 pm on Friday. Friday came around, and at 1:00 pm still hadn't heard from them, so I called. Was told my bike was next in line. Told them to forget it, and I would come pick it up and take it somewhere else. No explanation was given, not even an apology. The sad thing is, I'm a local and was a loyal Harley owner. Need bike work done in the Smokies? Take your bike to J & J, or Volunteer. read more

On a rainy day in October, the water temp light came on while on vacation in the Smokies. Pulled in for service to check out. Water pump was bad, unfortunately none in stock. Was headed south the next day. They found a dealer on my route in Georgia. Thanks to all involved taking care of this issue. Just one of the reasons to own a Harley. My husband and I rode in on a Fatboy and left on a Street Glide. The staff is wonderful at this location. I cannot say enough good things about them. They are informed, friendly, accomodating and willing to go the extra mile for their customers. If there were any negative reviews for the current staff I would be surprised. spent $475 .00 on a leather jacket , $70.00 bucks on 2 hAts , $20.00 on a beanie I was stared at like I was a criminal and was offered no help the 2 times I was in there neither time did anyone ask if I needed help but the salesman watched me like I was going to steal a leather jacket and I was offered no help as I checked out I was asked for a business card from the person that helped me and I had none so she gave me her friends card which made money off of me which I should have received as a discount for doing nothing ! I can understand being busy but I went to this place twice !!! same people same thing !!! My husband and I went in two times. The first time because we are new Harley owners and have been checking out the Harley stores. We also went in because we need a back rest for ours. I don't like being bombarded when I go into a store, but a "Can I help you" would have been nice. I did see a motorcycle I was very interested in for myself, no one ever approached us offering information... Nothing. We thought it may have just been a off day so we returned the next day. This time it was worse, we were looking at the clothes and two salespeople were standing out there, we attempted to engage conversation even to the point of mentioning I was interested in the bike. The response was if you could afford a monthly payment it could be yours we said we had one Harley but I was wanting one for myself, they never offered anything just walked off. Granted, I looked a little hillbilly that day with my ball cap and little make up and jeans but really... Next, we bought a few odds and ends , the (what looked to be a kid) behind the register was rude. I have not changed my last name on my driver license he wasn't going to sale me the items and I explained I had not changed to my married name he had the nerve to want to know if my husband was with me so he could verify his ID. I should have walked out at that point. The amount of people standing around drawing a paycheck at this store I would expect a little more. We even walked back to the bike I was interested in and took a picture, still no one offered. They don't care if they sale anything in this store.don't waste your time. Make the drive to Black Diamond in Marion, IL. Go there talk to Woody. Those people care and want to make a deal. That's where I will be purchasing my next Harley. The owner of this one could take some lessons from the staff at Black Diamond!!!! read more
