Today I tried sugaring at Rococo and it was AMAZING I had gone to get waxed last month at another location and had a horrible experience: red tender skin, hair breakage and horrendous amounts of ingrown hairs. I had to try something new and started researching, found out about SUGARING and I am so thankful I did! I made an appointment at Rococo with Lara, as I read some of the other reviews and noticed she was highly recommended... and now I know why, she's excellent! I explained to her my concerns and my horrible experience with waxing and she assured me this would be completely different, and it was! Not only was it different, it was way better! Waxing hurts, but this was nothing compared to getting waxed. The best part was that I didn't feel sore or tender when I left. After sugaring, I will never wax again! I been waxing/sugaring for about 3 years now. So I know what to expect. I can't believe I forgot the name of the woman who helped me and I do not want to guess because I don't know if it's only her or everyone in there that doesn't know how to do their job properly. They do NOT know how to sugar properly. Its just very annoying to know that this place has full stars when it shouldn't. I was going over the reviews, to see if anyone else noticed that this is not how sugaring procedure is suppose to go ? It's very sad to see that most of the reviews are first timers to "sugaring" ... so they do not know. Please girls, do your research on how it's suppose to be done PROPERLY. When sugaring you are suppose to pull the hairs the same direction they grow. This lady was yanking from all sorts of directions. It was by far the most painful experience I've had. She was trying to hurry. I don't know why???? It took her I want to say 10 minutes. It's NOT suppose to be that quick. She did not take her time. It says it's suppose to be a 45 minute appointment. I was gone within 20 minutes. It's a whole different experience when someone takes their time and is gentle. I did notice that someone else had previously commented that they do NOT KNOW HOW TO DO IT PROPERLY. And I can't believe they have not taken that into consideration? It's really not that hard just pull from the same direction as the hair grows!?! Why is that so hard. It was also messy. How did sugar get on my shins? A LOT of hairs are still there. And NOT that I care, she was nice but didn't talk. I've never had some just not talk to me during the process. But like I said, if it's someone's first time believe me, when it was my first time. It was nice to have a conversation to keep my mind off the pain. It just made the experience better, it was friendly. First time I got sugaring done in Anaheim, the lady was supper friendly. She cleaned the sugar off herself (rococo sugaring didn't do that). She herself put on the soothing cream(rococo sugaring didn't do that). EVEN tweezed little hairs left behind. (rococo sugaring didn't do that)Tweezed possible in grown hairs. (rococo sugaring didn't do that) Had music in the background, made small talk to make me forget about the pain. Was not fast, just perfectly paced and gentle. now that is just amazing service. She charged me $60 and it was worth it all. Don't be fooled just because they have full stars doesn't mean anything. Believe me it's a different experience when it's done properly. Now, I should be expect in grown hairs because it was done wrong.. so AVOID getting it done WRONG. Heard amazing things about this place and decided to try it out. On the website and yelp page it stated " walk in welcomed " i called to confirm but the phone kept ringing and ringing and ringing. I called several times through out the day and still answer, i assumed they were just busy. Upon my arrival at 630 the lights were on but the doors were locked, THEY WERE CLOSED! I had high hopes for this place but it's EXTREMELY unprofessional to not answer calls but to close before closing time with no notice. I wasted my time driving down there for them to be closed. Booked an appointment here after my routine sugarist (sugar bee) had an unforeseen family emergency. My appointment was less than 10 minutes and I immediately regretted that I hadn't just waited a few extra days for my normal sugarist to get back in town. This place seems to be more focused on quantity of customers rather than quality of service. The finished job was sloppy with random hairs all over the place and I was disappointed with the final product for how much money I spent. If you're paying 50+ dollars for a service like a Brazilian, then get your money's worth and go elsewhere. read more

Super upset about my appointment here. I went about two weeks ago, first time in about 7 weeks I was getting sugared because I recently moved and needed to find a new place. With all the good reviews I decided to give this place a try. Upon arrival to my 2:30 appointment, no one answered the door for 2 or 3 minutes. I was right on time but both ladies were busy, I was told to take a seat, they were finishing up and someone would be with me shortly, not a problem. Then I was asked to open the door if anyone else rang and tried to get in. That made me very uncomfortable. 15 minutes later I still hadn't been helped, Blanca was accepting payment for her last clients & booking their next appointment. She then tells me she's going to clean the room & be with me shortly. She takes TWO phone calls and schedules a walk to come back the next day before finally taking me back. By this point it was 3:00 THIRTY minutes after my scheduled appointment when I was there on time! When I finally get in the room there was no apology, or even recognition for me having to wait so long. I shrugged it off, being a new business I respected their hustle but things only got worse from there. During the actual sugaring process Blanca removed the hair the opposite direction of hair growth, in every other place I have gone they remove it in the direction of hair growth for various reasons (google it). I never truly thought it made a difference but about three days after the appointment I started to get the WORST in grown hairs of my life. No matter what I do they won't go away! I have never had them this bad before, even after waxing. Finally all the hair was removed and it's time to pay. As Blanca is ringing me up she says "oh and the upper thigh I did for free, I won't charge you for that", I just nod politely not knowing she even did the upper thigh because all I booked was a Brazilian and she NEVER asked me or told me during the service that she was going to do anything extra. She tells me my total is $65 for my first time and I mention the first time discount of 20%, she says no I didn't put that in there. She then comes up with a new total of $64, I'm very confused at this point and just wanted to get out of there. Then she very nonchalantly informed me that she changed the service to "Brazilian and upper thigh" because "it made it cheaper for me" and then applied the discount. I want to be VERY clear, when I booked I ONLY booked a Brazilian. During the appointment Blanca NEVER told me she was doing upper thigh, or asked me if I wanted that service as well. This was NOT an authorized service and I was being forced to pay for it. I was in shock because I didn't even know she did the upper thighs at all, then she told me she just did it for free and then she turns around and charges me for it. To me that is very unprofessional, and is the main reason I will NOT be going back. read more

First time trying sugar wax. Jessica was very professional in explaining to me why sugar is better than waxing. And she was very sweet. The salon is nice, clean, and comfortable. I got the Virgin Brazilian which I thought was gonna hurt. But I was surprised to find out that it didn't hurt as bad as waxing did. I also got to meet the lady who does the lash extentions and have booked my appointment for tomorrow! I will definitely be a regular. I love Rococo Sugaring and Spa! I came in for a Brazilian and it was done by Janine, who, is wonderful! I informed Janine that it has been quite a while since my last sugaring and that I can get very sensitive down there. Janine kept this in mind and I can tell she tried to be as gentle as possible with me. She constantly asked and made sure that I was doing fine throughout the entire process and was even very patient with me when I needed a little break. I know these go by appointment so I'm very appreciative of how understanding Janine was with me. Since it was my first time at the spa, Blanca the owner went above and beyond to assure that the service went well. The entire staff is amazing and knowledgeable. So happy to have a great sugaring salon in the IE! I used to have to drive out to Orange County, and let's face it, the 91 is death. My technician was Michelle, and what a sweetheart she is! She made me very comfortable while sugaring some :::ahem::: more sensitive areas. I had taken the winter months off of sugaring, but Michelle went ahead and gave me the "follow-up" pricing anyway. When I went to check out, I met Blanca, who I had actually been sugared by previously in Orange County!
