It comes with a daily $30/person breakfast voucher, welcome wine, drip coffee at Crafted, late checkout (just one hour later for us), & $100 credit for use at the hotel. The resort fee (included in the final price when booking thru Chase Travel) includes bottled water & valet parking. The hotel is in a great central location. We could walk to lunch and dinner places and museums. The restaurant on the property (Luminaria) has good food too. The room could be a little more convenient. For instance, the closet is in the bathroom. We wished there were some hooks to hang up our jackets. There was a thin layer of dust on the bed-stand. I struggled to find table space to place my toiletries in the bathroom.

This used to be our go-to hotel whenever we visited Santa Fe. After 15+ years of family trips and…read morestays here, we'll unfortunately be looking elsewhere. The biggest issue is security. During our most recent stay, our vehicle was one of at least three that were broken into with many very large/heavy items stolen overnight while parked in the hotel's paid parking lot. The lack of security measures, whether cameras, patrols, or staff presence, was disappointing and left us feeling unsupported after the incident. What was even more frustrating was management's response. When the answer to multiple vehicle break-ins is as we were told by the GM - there's nothing we can do and that cameras don't deter theft or help identify thieves - it's time for us to stay somewhere else. We understand that crime can happen anywhere, but guests paying for parking should reasonably expect the property to take security seriously and make an effort to protect them. What makes this especially difficult is that we've always loved this property. The hotel has a historic charm, a great location that makes it easy to explore Santa Fe on foot, and while the rooms aren't luxury accommodations, they always felt comfortable and familiar - like a home away from home. Through the years, the staff has consistently been friendly and welcoming. That's what makes this review so disappointing to write. What was once a 5-star experience for our family has dropped to about a 3-star experience because we no longer feel confident that our vehicle and belongings are safe while staying here.

The stay was not very pleasant. The walls were thin and we could easily hear people walking by in the hallway when trying to sleep. To start with I had to stop at the reception desk our first night because we didn't have any hand soap. I also had to stop by twice to get toilet paper because the cleaning staff never restocked or left an additional roll. One morning I had to go down to the front desk for more coffee pods because the staff restocked us with only decaf. I tried calling to have them bring some up, but they only had 1 person at the desk and they said they were unable to leave. The AC in our room made a very annoying noise. Overall the rooms were dated. Hallways and lobby were nice. I think the stay could have been better if staff had done a better job of restocking things in our room.

The rooms are small and are cluttered with old furniture. The windows leak, the bathrooms are outdated. The fans and furnace rumble all day and night. Service is good and people are willing to help. There's a nice common room for drinks and gathering. Overall The inn at Loretto remains an institution. For the price of a room you may want to consider another hotel.

They are both very rude and unprofessional. You can ask any of their many past or even current employees about their demeanor. No one wants to work for them due to their reputation around Santa Fe. Ask anyone in the business in Santa Fe about them and you will get the real perspective on them. They think they are "perfect" human beings and spiritually enlightened. Nothing could be farther from the truth. They have about 1/4 of the properties they used to have because the owners of the properties have caught on to their bs. Trust the people that own the properties they rent, not the rental agency themselves. All of the employees and housekeeps alike are treated like garbage and spoken to like they are worthless individuals. They may be nice to your face but talk all nasty about you behind your back. Run, don't walk, as far away from this business as possible. Watch out for the red flags!
