Everything. The motel had no air conditioning in the common areas in New Mexico in summer! No elevator. We stayed in a room which looked to have been converted into a guest room from some other purpose. The bed was very far from the AC unit so it took about 4 hours for the room to cool down. No screens on the windows to ventilate the room either. One outlet behind the bed that did not work. Had to plug in my apnea sleep machine in halfway across the room by unplugging the microwave. Phone was stained with dark red streaks..hoping it was ketchup. Very rough towels and one tiny bar of soap sealed in plastic. We would have left if it wasn't so late when we arrived. Not a fan. I understand Motel 6 is not luxury but this hotel could do much better. read more

Tear it down and start over. The rooms are unwelcoming without deco of any kind. The bed had no spread on it. There was only one towel so we requested a second one before leaving for dinner. When we returned we found it hanging on the doorknob and it was still damp from the washing. In the stairwell, we had to climb around a pile of dirty laundry that had been forgotten by the housekeeping staff. There's more but I've said enough. read more

Upon check in, the staff charged me $20 more than what I originally pre-paid for online. No explanation why, but when I looked on my receipt, it showed that I was a "walk in" despite the fact that I had reservations made several days in advance. I made reservations online for a single king bed room, for $74. I paid $96. I was given a double queen, again with no explanation. I asked why, he said "we don't have any available".... But isn't that what the reservations are for? To reserve the room you want?? It only got worse. Upon walking up to the room, which the door was already wide open to, I realized they had not cleaned it. There were long black hairs ALL OVER EVERYTHING. Literally hundreds of them, everywhere, but especially on the poor quality fleece blankets on the beds. Both beds were covered in tons of long black hairs. & The bed topper (calling it a comforter would be an overstatement) was stained with several greasy looking spots & cigarette burn holes. It was disgusting. No toilet paper available & the holder was broken & laying on a bed, in pieces... & there was brown, sticky stuff spilled on the floor all over the room. My boyfriend went downstairs to ask for a new room & the attendant was very RUDE saying "I will accept no more complaints, or I can give you your money back & you can leave". It was New Year's Eve. In the middle of nowhere Espanola NM, in a snowstorm. I was in shock & nearly started to cry. It was only after my boyfriend showed him the massive amount of hair all over both beds, he switched us to a different room. But I definitely felt bullied & a bit unsafe by his behavior towards us. Unfortunately this room wasn't much better & their were pubic like hairs all over the floor in the bathroom, with burn marks on the counter by the sink. It smelled like burnt chemicals inside. But we had no other options for the night, as everything was already sold out for the night. I would have remained in my previous hotel in Santa Fe, if I would have known this would be such a nightmare. We only stayed here because it gave us a head start on our adventure to Taos the next day. I will NEVER stay here again. I will never recommend this location to anyone I know traveling in the area. You're better sleeping in you car. I am an ambassador for the city of Phoenix, so it's literally my job to give quality recommendations & educated details to travelers. While this was not in Phoenix, I do think it's important to note that the desk staff essentially bullied me & ripped me off. I wouldn't want this experience on anyone. Literally the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I would give a zero star, if possible. Calling their headquarters tomorrow (today was a holiday, New Year's Day) to seek out a solution, as my experience was highly unprofessional & worrisome. Especially in a pandemic, cleanliness should be priority number one. Clearly their only priority is to turn & burn. read more

I recommend this motel 100%, the staff is very trusty my husband forgot his phone charger in his room, 4 days later he backs and oh! surprise they saved for him, and gave to him back, the room and bathroom very clean, very happy with the service. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE! This place was filthy. My room was supposed to be a non-smoking room, the sheets and blankets in both beds had ash burn marks on them. The restroom literally had feces and urine on the toilet, not to mention I found a disposable nicotine vape in the restroom, so they obviously didn't clean it and they didn't have shampoo. I also found a piece of hair inside the rolled up towel in the restroom. I only stayed here out of desperation of nothing else being available, but if you have the choice, don't make the mistake of letting this be it! read more

I give motel 6 zero stars if I could!! Adam & the lady are very rude to any customer. There's hair on the towels, behind the faucet, on the bed. There's cigarette burn marks on the sheets. When you walk through the hallway, it reeks of cigarette smoke! The back sidedoor is locked 24/7 which is a fire hazard & safety hazard. They don't have toiletries, they just have a small plastic wrapped soap. You don't ask their housekeepers for anything. That's what the lady at the front desk told me. their coffee mach is turned off & all coffee items are put away be 10am. read more

This budget motel had a creepy vibe, but was fine. I stayed here as a solo female, and felt safe despite the weird vibe of the area in general. Room was clean, bathroom was clean, water pressure in the shower was good and the water was hot. WiFi was good. Only complaint is no in-room coffee maker. I would possibly stay here again! read more

The manager at this location is verbally combative, manipulative, and dishonest. The room looks recently upgraded, but wasn't very clean. We found bugs, which the manager insisted were "summer bugs". He refused to give us another room, staying he was sold out (which may have been true), and refused to give a refund if we left within 30 minutes of arriving. The manager was belittling, insisted there wouldn't be a problem if i hadn't looked for bugs. He became verbally combative and attempted to physically intimidate me. He attempted to manipulate me into deleting photos on order to get a refund. When i refused he threatened to call the police and accused me of breaking a mirror that had fallen off the wall. Ultimately I called the police after being harassed to leave. I've also called the motel 6 headquarters to file a complaint. The manager ultimately printed out a document showing no charge, however it doesn't say "refund" or "cancelation". I don't trust him so the bank has also been called to stop payment. This manager was disrespectful from the start. He wouldn't accept a military ID and insisted a driver's license (turns out its easier for him) and became verbally aggressive when I questioned him on this. I suspect this guy uses intimidation and manipulation to coerce many people to pay for crap service and inadequately maintained rooms. On a Positve note, the police arrived within 15 minutes of me calling and were pretty nice nice guys. They even sent me in the right directing for a better hotel. read more

We knew it wasn't going to be a 5 star experience but honestly it was hardly worth a single star. The room was old but fairly clean. The Ac unit went off and on all night long. The Mattresses were hard and lumpy. we found a huge cigarette burn on the sheet. We switched beds but again, the mattress was terrible. The Shower was old and had no drain screen and it was just nasty. There we're no shampoo only two small soaps and 3 towels. The Halls were noisy all night. The clerk told us we'd have some type of coffee and pastries in the vending room for breakfast. That was a lie as we left at 7:30am and not even coffee was served. We we're shocked to see employees had parked in the handicapped spots too! Not worth $35much less $112 Don't make this mistake . It's Patel NASTY ! read more

Worst motel I've ever stayed at. Here is the list of bad things that happened during our stay: 1. WiFi never worked. We were told it doesn't work when it is windy but we were there for four days with nice weather 2. Fan/heater so loud that you can't have it on when sleeping 3. Entire hallway smelled like cigarettes 4. Squeakiest bed ever 5. Sink drained at glacial pace, if at all 6. Worst coffee we have ever tasted 7. Only allowed one room key 8. Called us to ask if someone hit our car in the parking lot? 9. Fire alarm went off for no reason and front desk worker could not figure how to turn it off. Or why it went off in the first place... 10. No mini fridge or microwave 11. Water randomly scalds you 12. Parking in the parking lot is a disaster.
