The only downside was that the overnight receptionist could have been a bit friendlier during check-in, as the welcome felt somewhat impersonal. We really enjoyed spending time in the lounge for drinks, and breakfast both mornings was excellent. A special thank you to our waiter, Ray, who was incredibly welcoming and took wonderful care of our family. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure both we and our kids had a great experience. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would definitely choose to stay here again if we're back in the area.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We had an issue with our fridge maintenance guy came and replaced it. He's also a mixologist. Our room was very clean and spacious. The ambiance was very eclectic all the furniture was comfy. The Lounge at The Watt had great drinks and bar food was pretty good. We ordered the Bourbon chicken wings and steak and cheese egg roll weren't my favorite but the wings were good. If you go try the French 75. We both slept like babies our bed was very comfortable. I look forward to returning to the Watt. To all my Yelpers let's continue to eat our way through the world #foodie4life.

We were in town for a 2 week work trip and decided to try this place. What a mistake…read more 1) Sleeping is impossible because it is so NOISY! - You are right near major highways with incredible road noise. - Add to it, you are on the flight path of jets landing at the airport. 2) Breakfast is very weak. Extremely limited. Only flavored/sugary creamer for coffee. No 1/2&1/2. Had to go buy some. 3) Guy at check in was terrible. His customer service is so bad, the DMV is jealous. Couldn't understand a word he said. Made it clear my checking in was taking him away from playing on the internet. Wasn't even offered a bottle of water the first night. Had to buy one for $4. 4) Pillows are terrible. Had to go buy one. 5) AC is an old mini-split that just adds to all the noise 6) TV had about 8 channels so ended up having to watch TV on my laptop at night using sling One night here is long. Two weeks is hell on earth.

The bed is comfortable, my favorite are the pillows. There is no noise that I can hear from the 4th floor except for usual hallway noises when people are out and about. The parking is easy. I used the gym several times and it's never busy. I used the laundry room as well and very easy to operate. The front desk can give you change. The front desk has been beyond helpful during my stay. Highly highly recommend this place.

First off Horrible parking areas and access to hotel sucks. Leaving is even worse, saw multiple…read moreaccidents my time stayed. 2nd the hotel is pretty clean and rooms are not bad. But if you're here on business or expect to get online, expect not to. Hotel WiFi sucks, even if you pay for the upgrade. But even my personal devices wouldn't work or lag, and my devices are on multiple cellular suppliers, so it wasn't like I was only using Verizon and that had an issue. It was all of them, must be a bad dead spot in the hotel property. The heating and AC sucks also, one room I had had a window unit not installed properly so I had a ton of bugs flying around the room. Other rooms I stayed in either was way to cold or to hot, thermostat are so primitive so they just basically hang on the wall. One of the maids, total smoke show!! If it wasn't for the WiFi be so bad, I would stay just to hook up with the maid

Our room was decent, but it felt a bit dirty, and the shower was even worse. There was rust around the drain, which made the shower look and feel unhygienic; it needs to be cleaned or repaired. We had breakfast the next morning, and while the food was acceptable, I would recommend going to a local breakfast spot instead. Overall, I would suggest staying here, especially if you need to catch a flight to Newark.

I was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel, which used to be a Best Western. I got there…read moreearly but my room wasn't ready. The clerk upgraded me to a suite which was ready. The room was clean; while the furniture was basic, it was in excellent condition. Breakfast is simple so I went out to a diner. Route 1 & 9 is a very busy road but fortunately the driveway has a traffic light to allow you to go north or south. The hotel is on the north bound side. I will definitely use this hotel again.

A decent budget hotel, but the location is a major drawback…read more Let's start with the positives. Check-in was smooth, although the staff member who assisted me was neither rude nor particularly welcoming. The room itself was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. I also appreciated being able to connect YouTube to the TV, which was a nice touch. The complimentary breakfast was basic but well-maintained. There were bagels, juice, coffee, and tea, and everything was kept stocked and clean throughout breakfast. Self-parking was included, which is definitely a plus. There is also a microwave available near the front desk, which is convenient if you need to warm up food. Thankfully, the hot water was clear (not brown) which I have unfortunately encountered at other hotels. Overall, I would say this hotel is acceptable if you're looking for a budget-friendly place to stay and don't mind the location. However, the biggest issue for me was the location. The hotel is literally right behind a waste-to-energy and solid waste disposal plant. Had I known this beforehand, I would not have booked this hotel. When I looked at the area on Google Maps, the property behind the hotel appeared to be a green lot, which was very misleading compared with what is actually there. While I didn't have major issues with the hotel itself, the surrounding location is enough that I personally would not stay here again. I think future guests should be aware of this before booking so they can make an informed decision. Pros: Clean room, comfortable bed, working A/C, complimentary breakfast, self-parking, microwave available, YouTube connectivity on the TV, clear hot water. Cons: Unwelcoming check-in experience and, most importantly, the hotel's immediate proximity to a waste-to-energy/solid waste disposal facility. Overall: A reasonable budget hotel, but the location is a significant dealbreaker for me.

Stayed here for 3 nights in early December, 2025 for my Nephew's wedding at the James Ward Mansion…read more The Mansion is 2 blocks from this hotel so you can walk it over easy even in 20 degree temps like I did. I parked the car in their free lot and did not move it for 3 days. Some spaces covered and some uncovered. They have carts but you will move your bags in and out. Everything is fine about this hotel and the prices reasonable. The front desk folks were fast, courteous, and efficient and gave me extra towels when I needed them right away to bring to the room no hassle, no wait. Just one night desk clerk snapped at me when I asked for towels because she said they don't do the laundry on Sunday, may run out, but she got them for me anyway with a bad attitude and sour face. The towels here were excellent quality. Beds/Pillows comfortable, but not like at a 5 star hotel. Room was clean and cleaned well. I interacted with housekeeping and they were nice. This location is with all the restaurants and shops of Westfield--an upscale area of NJ. You can walk out your door to eat and shop. I walked over and had breakfast at the Westfield Diner two times and dinner at the Thai restaurant next door to the Diner one time. All good places. The Diner gets you in and out quick. The free breakfast at this Best Western Hotel is small and not great--so plan on going to one the great bagel, coffee shops, and diners walking distance to the hotel. I went to the hotel free breakfast the first morning and not again--it's not the way to start your day properly. There is also a Trader Joe's walking distance and picked up a tuna sandwich there for lunch one of the days. I would definitely stay at this hotel again--I liked the whole area and all the services easy walking distance. If it was warmer and I had more free time I would have walked more around the area. There is a train that run in the back of the hotel so be on notice that it could be noisy in some back rooms. I was in the front and had no problem--but I sleep with earplugs if needed.
