I picked this hotel because this is where my training place. It's clean, price standard but I don't get breakfast. I wonder because I booked it through company portal and they have agreement so it was cheaper but no breakfast? I don't like that the don't have dark curtains all the way covered the windows. It just an accent on each side. Breakfast food not good. But it might be because I have to paid for it! Well ok my company, it's a work training. I like the lunches. We choose from ore set lunch menu. The training room is good sz for the group. They really good with refreshments. They have platters of fruits, assorted cereals, bagels, pastries, coffee, soda, juice and water. Afternoon they have cookies, snack bar, yoghurt. It was nice. Dinner not bad. Oh they have tiny gym. Not bad. I actually went a couple of times. Would I stay in this chain again? Maybe if breakfast is included!!!

Stayed at this hotel because it was near my corporate office. The front desk staff was extremely welcoming and very pleasant. There's a very good little convenience store right when you walk in near lobby, they have all kinds of goodies, from regular store cookies to chips to fruits to homemade cookies and brownies to orange juice and Red Bull etc... The hotel has a lobby bar that's open till midnight and a small restaurant. The hotel is not modern day decor type but I feel it's renovated. It doesn't look anything like the 80s. It's a Holiday inn folks! The rooms were very clean, the bathrooms are very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I would have no issue staying here again whatsoever.

I have probably stayed at this hotel 15 times in the last 6 years, but after last night I finally decided it was time to write my 2 star review. The only reason I give this hotel 2 stars instead of 1 is because I will return due to convenience and cheap rates. The lobby and bar area are newer and updated leaving you thinking the rooms should be fairly nice, however that is obviously where any renovations stopped. The rooms are seriously outdated and show extreme signs of wear...which would be ok if not for all of the other issues. Earlier this year, the shower in my room only had one temperature - scalding hot. It was never fixed, I later complained to IHG and didn't really receive a satisfactory response. On another stay this year, there was mold and mildew in the shower. Last night was probably the worst, every time the AC would turn on, it made this horrible loud dripping noise. Woke me up every time it turned on. This morning, the carpet was soaking wet. I had my room changed this afternoon when I got back to the hotel, but when I went to get my suitcase from the old room, I could smell the mildew leaving me to believe this was a reoccurring problem in that room. My new room today is better, however the bed is saggy and pretty uncomfortable. Not your standard Holiday Inn bed. The hotel has great potential, it's just seriously old and outdated. Luckily, the rates are fairly inline with the conditions (around $100 a night). I wouldn't pay much more though for a night here...

Stayed again at Holiday Inn Clark NJ. What a delight! The staff are the very best starting with Manager Kathy F.and Asst Mgr Keyur. They are always so friendly. They make you feel welcomed which is rare. I ate at the hotel restaurant several times during my stay and each meal was fantastic! Chef Larry is the man! My room had all the amenities plus a fridge+microwave. I enjoyed a peaceful safe evening sitting on the garden benches out front looking at the stars. Such a wonderful hotel. I will be back!

Nice quiet holiday inn. Rooms look to have been recently updated and lobby area is nice as well. Close to road so there is some road noise. Front desk staff was nice and helpful upon checking in. Will stay again

BED BUGS - I stayed here while traveling for work (only because the nicer hotels in the area were all booked up). Woke up at 3am to what I hoped was a spider crawling on me....only to turn on the light and see at least 5 bed bugs on both me and the sheets/pillow cases. Great way to start a full day of meetings. I live in Manhattan and understand that this is a widespread issue for private homes as well as hotels, but it is still completely unacceptable.

This is the first time a stayed at a Spark by Hilton property and found the property to be on-par with Hampton Inn's but with an emphasis on basics. While this property was a take-over and remodel of another brand, there is very little indication that this was not a completely refurbished property. The only hint I saw was in the elevator in which the back side is glass, so as the elevator rises you can see outside. The tell sign is that while every detail inside the property is clean as a whistle, the window in the elevator are not, a minor detail overlooked. My room, 515, was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Close to the single elevator, there were times when it took some time for it to arrive, most 5 floor hotels do have more than one elevator. There were plenty of outlets in the room and the bead was ultra-comfortable, but the chair at the desk while fitting with the décor, is not functional for someone to work at the desk. All the staff I encountered were pleasant and helpful. I had an early departure, so I did not have an opportunity to check out breakfast, but parking was complementary which is always a plus, even though it was not gated. I like Spark for a quick, convenient and affordable overnight stay, but for more than one night, there are other Hilton brands I'd prefer to stay with. A shower curtain retails for $4. This is a joke. The coffee machine was covered in a white film. The person at the front desk was very pleasant, however the hotel is completely mismanaged. Avoid.

Everything is fine about this hotel and the prices reasonable. The front desk folks were fast, courteous, and efficient and gave me extra towels when I needed them right away to bring to the room no hassle, no wait. Just one night desk clerk snapped at me when I asked for towels because she said they don't do the laundry on Sunday, may run out, but she got them for me anyway with a bad attitude and sour face. The towels here were excellent quality. Beds/Pillows comfortable, but not like at a 5 star hotel. Room was clean and cleaned well. I interacted with housekeeping and they were nice. This location is with all the restaurants and shops of Westfield--an upscale area of NJ. You can walk out your door to eat and shop. I walked over and had breakfast at the Westfield Diner two times and dinner at the Thai restaurant next door to the Diner one time. All good places. The Diner gets you in and out quick. The free breakfast at this Best Western Hotel is small and not great--so plan on going to one the great bagel, coffee shops, and diners walking distance to the hotel. I went to the hotel free breakfast the first morning and not again--it's not the way to start your day properly. There is also a Trader Joe's walking distance and picked up a tuna sandwich there for lunch one of the days. I would definitely stay at this hotel again--I liked the whole area and all the services easy walking distance. If it was warmer and I had more free time I would have walked more around the area. Motel 6 and Super 8s are our go-to motels when we find ourselves in late night situations like this. The clerk in the office was mostly concerned that we understood that it was a SMOKING room. Oh, no problem, buddy. We smoke. Though I did not expect there to be a GIANT burn hole in the center of the comforter on the bed. Just throw that thing out. It cannot cost that much to pick up a new king size blanket somewhere. We don't use hotel bedding anyway. We bring our own comforters and pillows. After stripping the bed, the room was decent. It was not an accessible room, per se, as I could not use the bathtub, nor could I fit my chair through the bathroom door, but this has never stopped us before. The room was ENORMOUS. No table and chairs, no fridge, no microwave but I never had to fear backing up into furniture in the middle of the night, in the dark, on the way to the bathroom. The sink was located outside the bathroom, and did not drain. The bed was uncomfortable, and the air conditioner was not up to the task of cooling the room, but that's nothing a couple of cocktails couldn't fix. All I needed was a place to sleep after our daily all-day adventures, and a place to pee (I mentioned cocktails, right?). I seriously do not need a lot when it comes to motels/hotels and this place did the job. If you're high maintenance or picky, this place probably isn't for you. But I liked the NYC themed art, and the dark blue and sand color walls, and that I could park right outside our door. Some people can't handle MOTELS, and this is definitely a motel. Know thyself.
