Coming into town late Friday night this was all we could find with a vacancy. At first glance it looks bad. Like others said the front desk was beyond polite and helpful, they get a 5 star for sure: We got a strange room #231 the first night that was two rooms converted into one with two beds facing each other.(four beds total) The bathroom was tiny and the door wouldn't close, the bedding was not up to standards, dark colored with patterns with stains when I looked close. 2 star. We moved to 200 & 202 the next two nights and were completely satisfied with the cleanliness of room and bathroom. Bedding was new / bright white and perfectly clean. 4 star. Location is perfect if you enjoy the farmers market and great restaurants just feet away. 5 star Overall the price was great. We didn't come to spend time with college daughter in our room, just a place to sleep. Don't judge this place but it's looks. The employees and adequate rooms did just fine read more

We had a card on file prepaid over $800 for 2 nights, so he wanted to charge me again when I was checking in.With a different card.they could improve by Tearing it down and rebuild. It was filthy and smelly with cigarette smell. The room was also used as a storage room with 4 folded raggedy beds in the corner. Carpet was filthy bathroom was nasty and wanted to charge over four hundred dollars per night for a so called suite with a jacuzzi tub out dated. They should be ashamed and embarrassed to rent this room. It was probably the worst experience I've ever had. So I refused to stay there and didn't look anything like the pictures. The beds are really uncomfortable me and my cousin couldn't sleep all night the water pressure is so bad the widows are filthy and started to fall apart and there's no in between hot and cold it's either to hot or to cold for the shower, a lot of Crack heads outside not safe for kids the wifi is free but you still need a password to access on the plus side workers are really nice. And the outlet is so bad won't work that well. read more

The electrical sockets are all very loose. Nothing will stay in them.The room's light bulbs had a 40% chance of working if they were even there.My closet had no pole to hang my clothes from it was paid for by another place, but I still believe I overpaid. I was a little behind on check out and the owner said I have 5 minutes or he'd call the cops. I left a few things with another guest and when I went to get them he kicked them out and told them he was going to call the cops. The experience staying there really makes me appreciate other places where they are friendly and have racks in their closets like the super 8. read more

Disgusting!!! Our room in infested with ladybugs. Dead and alive! Let's start from the begging. When trying to book over the phone we told the man at this location that we were AAA members and he said he didn't care and that there was no discount for this stay even though the website said there was. Upon checking Into the room we noticed it was a bit dirty. The mirrors dirty, floors a little dusty. But nothing we couldn't manage around. The sheets were clean which is all we cared about... until we saw bugs crawling on the ceiling. We got up on the bed and noticed they were lady bugs. We thought only a couple so just ignored them and went to bed. The next day after a long day we came back to notice they didn't clean the room and noticed a ton of dead lady bugs behind the blinds (over 30 but between the ones behind the curtain and on the floor there are over 40). We left for dinner and called and asked them to clean the bugs. The stated that it is big season and that we should just open the door and let them out. Hahaha!! Like the bugs are trained. We asked them to clean the bugs and give us at least clean towels. We came back hours later to them only coming in to take out the dirty towels and not leaving us clean ones. And they did nothing!! About the bugs. There are now more than just lady bugs but also these almond shaped bugs that smell HORRIBLE when killed. Our 4 year old couldn't stop crying and saying that she wanted to go home because she was scared. We told the desk several times and they just told us that there is nothing they can do and that the manager isn't here and won't be here till tomorrow. They didn't even offer to move us rooms. They couldn't even clean up the dead bugs! We are paying $150 for a bug infested room. Monday morning I will be reporting all this to the health department! read more

We asked for a refund and were refused, even though others in line were asking if there were any vacancies and the hotel was full. We had to find another hotel on short notice. It is what it is. If you can, avoid staying on the east side. You get a lot of foottraffic from homeless folks and a few live under the nearby bridge. Also, a lot of noise from traffic coming off of the bridge. You hear a lot at this hotel. Seems to be a popular spot for families who like to yell and swear at their kids and each other. Door knocks at all hours. People coming by and "looking for someone." Still, affordable, it's a place to crash and get a good shower - but it isn't a place you want if you expect to spend a lot of time in your room. Also - within walking distance of many restaurants and pubs. Service is decent. Loud AC. And the "closet space" didn't have a rod to hang clothes, so I made my own. read more

The owner and staff are rude, and the whole business is frankly far velow subpar. I get its a 2star hotel, but I expect even 2stars to have beds without bug, rooms that arent torn up by water damage, and a lock that will actually keep people from coming in it night. The Rodeway Inn has none of those. This is literally like a place from the show "Hotel Hell". And the owner will charge you for any little thing. Need an extra _____? Not allowed to be given. You even 2 minutes late to check out? That'll be $50 per half hour. Id soon stay in jail than this place. read more

A budget motel with an emphasis on "budget" and a second emphasis on "Dead hooker? What dead hooker? I didn't see nothin'" During our "staycation" we slept here for a night. It's cheap, which I appreciate. And while I usually judge a place on what it's trying to be and what you should get for the price, there are times when even the fact that it's HALF AS EXPENSIVE isn't enough to avoid a bad review. Did you see my pictures? Look at the one with the corner of the floor. The whole room around the edges, where the baseboard meets the carpet, didn't look like it had been vacuumed in years. It's called a "crevice tool" and you'd think a motel would own one. If that dust could tell stories I'm sure we'd all cringe. And while I stay in budget motels often this room was the ugliest I'd ever seen. It's pale pink walls screamed for life. One wall wasn't pink but had some horrible tree & leaf themed wallpaper, which was green. The trim and doors were dark brown. The sink was covered in a hideous, outdated yellow formica. The curtains were a dark red. No worries though, the sink had a bottle opener attached to it so if your room is ugly just put the beer goggles on until you can sleep. I didn't use the TV, which was about 15 years old. Nor did I use the Wi-Fi which was free. The room did have a microwave and refrigerator, which was commendable. I checked for bed bugs and didn't find any. The sheet appeared clean. There's something about the lack of vacuuming that is really off putting. I wondered the whole time what else they were skimping on (probably everything). I didn't even risk a shower. The place had an air of "we don't care" about it. For instance, sometime during the painting process, the painter just kind painted over the light fixtures. Everything was haphazard and a little grimey. To add insult to injury the hotel has a sign outside proclaiming "recently remodeled" which is nothing short of a lie. I wondered if my room had been cleaned since 2007, let alone remodeled. The free "breakfast" was prepackaged snack cakes and some awful smelling coffee. The upside? The location. We got out of our room and went bar hopping without having to drive, that's a plus. If you can avoid this place, do so. Also, as said before: smells weird. read more

Early morning interviews often require overnight stays... Friendly front desk staff, but it took quite a while to check in. Something was wrong with their system apparently and I had to fill out an additional form because the computer was down. There was plenty of parking but it was unclear if lower level rooms had assigned parking spots. Walked outside and noticed a guy staring out of an upper room window. Grabbed my bags and locked up the car. Turned around and the guy was still staring out the window. CREEPY. Noticed an ice machine downstairs. Also noticed that the carpet on the stairs desperately needs cleaning. The room itself was actually nicer than other one-star hotels I've experienced. I thought I had really lucked out until I noticed a curly, short, black hair on one of the washcloths and some additional similar hairs on the toilet. GROSS. It was apparent that they do not clean well here. Good thing I brought my own towel. Water pressure was fine. Toilet flushed. There were some mold and mildew remnants in the shower, but really nothing that didn't look like they at least attempted to clean it. The sheets seemed clean. I was scared to inspect things too closely. Actually, the bed was pretty comfortable and I slept well. It was easy to hear the adjacent room's television while it as on, but luckily they turned it off fairly early. Not too much noise from the road either. Room had a microwave, refrigerator, bottle opener, ice receptacle, tissue, shampoo, and soap. It also had a closet area was a good amount of hangers. No conditioner. No lotion. No hairdryer. Wallpaper was starting to separate from the wall. Heater worked but was very loud and had significant amounts of duct tape on it. Wasn't too strong, but the room definitely had a strange odor. Also, free wi-fi! Unless you enjoy packaged baked goods with massive lists of ingredients, they're basically lying about the free breakfast. Sure, you could eat it, but you could eat a lot of other things I wouldn't define as breakfast either. There seems to be lots of coffee options in the area. Skip the 'breakfast' here and check out a local coffee shop or Starbucks. So in the end... Yes, I would consider staying again for business purposes. It was $49, which is hard to beat. Besides the sleep, I wouldn't describe it as pleasant, but it got the job done. Recommend requesting an upstairs room. Now if only they could get rid of those black hairs... read more

Not bad of a stay for the price ($87/night, 2 people). Our room was clean and quiet enough and WiFi was good too. Breakfast was just coffee, watered down juice and a small selection of pastries. They were nice enough to still check us in (we had a reservation) at 1:30 am (they stop check-ins at midnight) but we did call ahead. The only complaint we had was the area; quite a few druggies hanging around. We didn't have any run-ins with them but anybody considering attending OSU (which is close by) or have family considering may want to...reconsider. read more

This is a cheap motel cost wise and it shows for it. The room was clean well, as clean as they can make it. Cheap little shower head, little to no hot water and an old box TV. The desk clerk was polite and provided extra towels when asked. From other reviews we got lucky. It was quiet and I got a decent night sleep. This place is worth $40/night, not $220! (We came for a baseball game, found out rates were jacked up because it was Family weekend at OSU) Our first room didn't have a working air/heat unit or working TV. They moved us to another room with less furniture accommodations; a tiny hole in the wall for a sink and the only counter space, a small round table as office space, dirty towels with hair stuck to them and a bed with no skirting and tears in the boxspring, Sheetrock tape painted over horribly, a wall switch for heat or cool that didn't work and seemed pointless and outdated, and a door you could see outside light threw because there's no seal. Luckily I brought my own shampoo/conditioner, soaps, face washes, etc. because they offered two bars of soap and one very small tube of shampoo.... This place is ghetto and dingy. We are easy keepers and simple people; rarely complain, but for the price paid - we are so disappointed and don't want the same experience for anyone else. There is a bar in the same complex as the hotel that had customers keeping us up all night. Luckily the air/heating unit in our room from the 50's sounded like a jet taking off to drown out their rowdy and repulsive commentary outside. Wonderers through the parking lot at all hours..... Needless to say, we slept with a gun on our nightstand and got out of there and to the Best Western in Albany for our second night. There were no apologies or compensations even offered when we gave feedback or asked to check out early; it was a surprise to the office clerk that we didn't enjoy our stay. read more

"Beggars should be choosier. I made reservations last February shocked that all Corvallis hotels were booked so far in advance for mothers weekend (in May now). I'm fairly savvy online and typically find great deals. I never spent more for less in all my travel adventures ... Unless you count that one time I defied my own mother (when I was a college student) with a bad boy and slept in a truck in Sedona. Maybe this is karma. In fact there is a grown up version of that guy outside (he didn't age well). He stumbles from his truck into room 111 keeping the door wide open as he intermittently curses obscenities at his unfortunate barking pitt bull. This shirtless, soiled, bird haired man must be exhausted from last nights brawl with lady friends who yelled something to him abruptly about calling police. I digress. Let's discuss the room. If you can get passed the essence of cigarette and mold (open the windows in spring- the air is delightful out there.) This hotel is what one imagines a backdrop for filming low budget pornography. (Which causes permanent damage to vulnerable youth charmed, kidnapped and drugged by hideous souls.... I'm digressing again sorry... I didn't get much sleep.) The bathtub looks inviting.... At first. A odd layer of mystery funk lines the tub after starting the jets. I'm scared. Large jacuzzi bath tub sits before an odd mirror wall that could stir anyone feeling a bit self conscious but the green light bulbs add a special ambiance and a unique Sci-Fi flair I never expected. Something on the floor glows and I don't want to know why. I'd write more but there is no pen or paper in here to take notes. (No extra blanket, pillow or alarm clock either.) They do have good wifi and no in room coffee. Just as well, I'll go out. Our room was not cleaned when we left and their is one hot pink hair dryer available at the front desk for all of us to share. I'm okay with sharing a dryer I guess. Decor is a mix of old garage sale items and the bed seems clean. (I need to believe this I have no place else to go.) Lesson: Book early anyplace else! I should have opted for the wait list of the other hotels. This was a sure thing and I paid over $200 per night for 2 nights, months in advance! They demanded payment in advance too. Lesson learned. The location is excellent and if your not too squeamish and can get a cheap rate that could work for some I guess. I can't say much but the guy in the lot downstairs says it all. read more

First, it's spelled Rodeway Inn. Where do I begin? They have a sign proudly stating "Recently Renovated". Apparently, their idea of recent would be 1990. Actually, I think that is the last time our room was vacuumed. To say our room was gross, would be an understatement. I'm not talking a few dust bunnies under the bed. I mean stuff all over the carpet. Let's be clear, I knew this was a budget motel. So, I packed my hair dryer, shampoo, soap, and aromatherapy candle. I was ready to rough it. I should have packed my toilet plunger, towels, vacuum cleaner, drill, and draino. I could go on for pages about my experience at this hotel. The average two star rating seems overly generous for this dump. This is the second crappiest motel I've ever stayed at. (It shares many of the same crappy "amenities" as its competitor "The University Inn"; perhaps they are owned by the same people.) The bed is as hard as a cement floor. There is one thin scratchy blanket on the bed. The pillows are heinous. "Breakfast" consisted of off-brand snack cakes and a dry mini bagel. I was all set to give this Econo Lodge three stars for simply being a baseline, low-budget, somewhat run-down old motel, until I discovered this: there is no in-room hairdryer. (Cue dramatic music [in your mind].) I have needs, and these needs include dry hair. Ironically, it was nearly impossible for me to get my hair wet while taking a shower, since the showerhead was retrofitted with a low-flow device of amazing efficiency. No actual water flow emitted from the showerhead -- just a fine mist that blew everywhere, cooling me off although the water temperature was set to maximum. Fiddling with the showerhead did nothing for the situation. The Econo Lodge is cheap and well-situated, but if you've got another option, take it. Also: smells funny. read more

This used to be my go to place in Corvallis. It was clean, cheap and next to a great Chinese food place. Well, the Chinese food place is still there. But the motel is now very dingy and wasn't all that cheap. It also felt a bit unsafe. The river is right next to it, and while pretty, houses a lot of homeless people. There is also a bar right next to the motel. And the doors to the inside corridors of the motel are unlocked, and sometimes ajar, at all hours. My room could have used a cleaning. Not sure when someone dusted last. It was kind of nasty. Not all lights worked. Remote control was broken. Hairs in the sink and tub. No hair dryer. And you can't call their breakfast breakfast. I went downstairs almost an hour after it was supposed to have been out and the front desk person, who looked like she had just woken up, didn't even have coffee ready yet. There are not many options in Corvallis on a busy weekend, but I won't be back to this motel. It is really too bad because it didn't use to be so run down. read more

Never listen to family about a hotel, do your own research and stay at levels of hotels you normally stay at. Drove through the night to attend a funeral in corvalis and family was all staying here so we thought to stay here too. We called ahead and looked online, tried to book but it was too late in the day, we called and said we were arriving at 2 am is someone at the counter or is this going to be a problem, we are told no problem. We arrive at 1:30 and ring the bell as no one does man the desk all night, a couple minutes goes by and someone shows up, proceeds to book the room while we wait in the 30 degree weather instead of waiting in the lobby for the 5 minute booking. Room fees are higher than quoted, ask about military discount and am told it's too late for military discount... No big deal the room is 70 bucks who cares right We get the keys and are walking to the room, as we get to the top of the stairs and look down the hall and there is a bum snoring laying on the ground. We ignore and go straight to the room. Open the door and it's a time warp back to motel six circa 1980, carpet is dark so luckily we couldn't see how dirty it was but the bed sheets had stains on them, the shower had a hole in the side of it with a poor rtv patch job... It was pretty bad, my wife and I put on extra clothes and attempted to rest our eyes as we obviously weren't going to fall asleep this uncomfortable. I suggest doing your research the extra 20-50 most likely will go a long way, if it hadn't been 2 am we would have left and gone somewhere else read more

As far as the room goes, this hotel is about what you'd expect. Nothing incredible, but clean enough for the price and wifi was decent. We had two problems with this place. Firstly, when we arrived, the key didn't work, turns out the batteries had died on the door handle, so no swiping. Took the manager about ten minutes to get it working, at which point he basically told us not to leave the room because we wouldn't be able to get back in. Didn't offer to switch us to another room, and the hotel didn't seem packed to capacity. We confirmed via phone with the hotel that if we needed a late checkout and they had the capacity, it would be no problem and no cost (as it is with most hotels). Unfortunately, when we called in the morning, we were told there indeed was a fee. We said that we had talked with the desk the night before and was told there was no fee, but they wouldn't budge, and that's after having a room we couldn't even leave without needing a manager to get back in. So Listen Up....It's now called the Roadway Inn. I stayed there with my 2 youngest kids in August 2011. We had an event to get to early the following morning, and there were no available rooms in any of the other family oriented hotels. We didn't feel like getting up at 5:30am and traveling so we booked the room. I had read the other reviews on various websites, and were a little apprehensive. Please note: We were fine, ok? Here the Lowdown: This is a hotel of 1950's/1960's vintage without all the cute Googie look. The 1st floor rooms open onto the parking lot, (a very old and pitted parking lot). It looks as though the hotel has changed hands and is in the process of minor rennovating. There is a restaurant across said parking lot, that was closed on the Friday night we stayed there. PLEASE READ THIS PART: This is a cheap hotel, so please understand that it is low, LOW BUDGET. There are NO AMENITIES! That means: no hairdryer, no shampoo, breathmints on the pillow, no fridge or microwave, etc. There is a small bar of handsoap, ok? Bring what you need WITH YOU, and stop whining like a big baby, ok???!!! The water was hot, and the bathroom was clean! 2 stars just for that. The room was also clean - no strange smells or odors, although 1 of the beds had a stray hair in it. Hmmm, a little suspicious, but it could have come from the maid. The TV worked, and the beds were decent- neither rock hard or so soft you feel through to the floor. There is no elevator, so don't forget to call someone if you need a 1st floor room. Please don't be fooled by the fact that breakfast is listed. It consists of individually packaged muffins, and Franz donuts left under a plastic cake plate cover. The coffee was watery at best, but hot, and had powdered creamer. The juice was from concentrate. If you are starving and have no money, then please.....partake of it. (obviously I tried the coffee) Otherwise, you just saved $25 on a room, so mosey on over to one of the cute breakfast places(we did) or the nice bakery a few block away and support a local business. If you are still budget strapped, BK's is a few blocks the other directions. The whole room only cost $54, including tax, for 2 Queen beds. If you can, ask for a 2nd floor room. It served the purpose of the visit to Corvallis and I'd actually come back again. read more

The room was dingy, the A/C unit was as loud as an idling bus even on the 'low fan' setting, 'breakfast' was a joke (weak coffee and 'Little Debbie' snack cakes-- that's not food!)... But, the price wasn't too bad ($84.20 after tax for a Queen room) compared to others I had looked at in the area, and they had a room available on a Saturday night. Stayed here due to a pet emergency. One dog having emergency surgery, so we had to stay in a hotel that allowed us to have our second dog with us. Average old style room with an old tube tv, cable with all the HBO channels. Unattractive green and orange walls. Furniture is ok. Carpet has a big circular stain near the front door. Microwave, fridge, and a/c all work fine. Soft water and low flow to conserve water in the sink and shower. Room appears clean. Some black mildew stains in the bathtub crevices. Towels clean but the cheap and rough. Free breakfast consists of bagels, toast, or packages sweet rolls, coffee, orange and apple juice. Good location near downtown along the riverfront. Reasonable rates compared to what is available here on non-holidays. Sign up and book online for slightly better rates than the walk-in. My complaints are the $15 + tax per pet charge. Normally stay at Motel 6 with zero pet charges. They actually monitor the security cameras and check if you've paid the additional fee. Biggest issue is that there seem to be many questionable seedy creepy characters either staying here or roaming around the parking lot which made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. If they got rid of these characters and painted the walls white, I'd give them one more star. Have stayed in better, but also stayed in worse and paid more. read more

I had a very unpleasant stay here last weekend for OSU's parent's weekend. If there were negative points, that would be more accurate. NEVER STAY HERE!!!!! Where do I start... 1. My bathroom doorknob broke (was very loose when I checked in)and I was trapped in my bathroom for half an hour. I'm extremely claustrophobic & had a full scale panic attack in the 3x3 room. Finally my very loud screams & pounding were heard and managers came. The next morning one of the same managers didn't even recognize me or seem to care. Told me her rooms are always inspected for mechanical issues but as I now know- this is not true. 1. No/limited hot water in the morning. I nearly had to yank the fixture out of the wall to get it to work at all. 2. Carpets were pretty gross. Unvacuumed with an odor. 3. Breakfast was a joke. A few pieces of fruit & plastic wrapped sugary junk. 4. The first night when my son came to get me, we had to step over a homeless man sprawled in the stairway that appeared to be high and incoherent. No secure doors to keep anyone out. 5. There was a bar outside my window & smoke wafting into my room from it's loud patrons. Mind you - all this for $250/night- minimum 2 nights stay. read more

I am giving this motel 2 stars because it was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. However, I do not recommend staying here. The place is very old school, not a single modern convenience you would expect- no coffee pot, no hair dryer, no comfy chair. Just bare bones minimum for sleeping and showering. Breakfast is only a packaged sticky bun and a piece of fruit. The worst thing however, which I have not seen on any other review, is the bar/lounge in the parking lot. It is literally 50 ft. from most rooms on the west side and the noise was spilling out in to the parking lot until 2 am. Trying getting a good night sleep on Friday or Saturday at this place, it would be a miracle. read more

OMG.... Stay away!!! It is worth paying the extra $7 and staying at the Super 8 next door. I got there knowing it was a cheap hotel but when remote wouldn't work and the toilet wouldn't flush completely. I went to the front office and explain my problem, the guy, stated I will try and fix the remote and I will come and look at the toilet. I ask what ya going to do? He stated... Plunger it.... I said ok.. Shaking my head. He came over...he went to work in the bathroom... I said what's wrong he said I am just going have to move you as he explained why the toilet was having a problem. He moved us on room over. Wow, you want to talk about smell!! The first thing I did was open the window. After moving I went to my car and got a air freshener. The one star I gave was for the parking lot. It was close to the rooms and clean unlike the rooms. The is a bar within walking distance. So the next day I woke up. I get ready to take a shower in the moldy stall and the shower head is taped on...water went everywhere! I go to check out. The guy working, I mentioned it to him and he asked if I brought it to the guy working last night attention... I stayed here for a night 2 weeks ago. All the "better" hotels were full or too much for my budget. I would say the reviews are accurate. I should have known when I had to pay at check-in instead of check-out. The guy at the counter was nice enough but this place is bottom line. The shower was gross and bedding questionable (they seemed clean). I get the feeling the Super 8 next door would have been a big improvement. read more

If you want wine and cheese go to the Super 8 up the road. We mistakenly thought the reviews for the Rodeway Inn in Newport were for this one, so when we walked in and smelled the dusty grandma scent in the main office we realized we might not be in the same place we read about. To begin our stay at the Rodeway Inn we were greeted with a little confusion... booked two days in advance and they managed to lose our reservations. It appears our confirmation code took a sh*t and died. That said, they booked us at the same price we were quoted on the phone ($55 a night). When we walked into the building of motel rooms it seemed that the ghost of dusty grandma lingers throughout the entire property. It was especially strong in our room (despite the window had been open for god knows how long). Looking around it was clear that certain aspects of the room's upkeep had been blatantly ignored. For example, electrical outlets had been painted over and it seemed that the vacuuming was likely done by a 6th grade boy who just discovered porn. Within the first 10 minutes we discovered a little friend on our bed, a harmless little spider. That being said this place gets 2 stars from us. The first star was given when we discovered that the tv, which looked only a year younger than us, had HBO! The second star was awarded when we showered and experienced the unbelievable amount of water and pressure provided by the shower head. The bathroom and sheets were clean and the wifi worked 75% of the time. This is what you're paying for at $55 a night... definitely could be worse! We got a 2 queen room. The lights were not plugged in. the lamp. the mini fridge didn't work. not happy with that. Extra charges for dog. Understandable, Whats not understandable is how come they couldn't clean the room. They couldn't even clean the toilet or the shower. there was hair in the shower, black. and the toilet was rotted away, so there was feces stuck into the toilet seat. (Why can't you guys go replace the toilet seat, they are 10 bucks?) disgusting. DO not stay here. There complimentary breakfast, honey buns and hoho's. It sounds harsh but I wish I could give it zero stars. We stayed here out of desperation as it was the only vacancy we could find. The room was obscenely overpriced at nearly $200. The room smelled really bad! A musty odor covered with a lot (A LOT) of perfume/air freshener. The combo was nauseating. The free wifi didn't work for our entire stay. The beds, pillows and spreads were all circa 1980. Old, creepy and terribly uncomfortable. Nothing looked very clean but the grungy carpet and moldy shower were awful. The A/C blew warmish air all night no matter how much we tried adjusting it. Very little sleep to be had. We woke up feeling exhausted and itchy. We couldn't get out of there fast enough and agreed that we would have been more comfortable sleeping in the car! The one and only thing it has going for it is location which is very close to the river with a great walking path as well as walking distance to downtown. read more

if you are looking for cheap..this would be your best choice. I just can't think of anything god to say. Just find something better if you can afford a few more buck. It is obvious looking at the reviews, that the owners of this pace, obviously do not take any of these complaints seriously at all.. It's too bad. Some improvements would allow them to raise their rates bit. read more

I booked an online reservation for one room for some of my associates, as they were working in Corvallis, OR for reconstruction. I called the hotel for a consecutive 30 minutes before finally getting an answer. Once front desk picked up, I asked to confirm the reservation by giving her our confirmation number and the last name of the associate who would be checking in. Front desk said she could not find it, so when I asked if we could set up a new reservation, she told me to go online to expedia to book the reservation. I notified her that the reason we do not like to book through a third-party like expedia, is because our jobs vary and could be finished early, and if that were the case we can cancel the remaining of the reservation through the hotel. Expedia does not give us that option. She then made a reservation with me over the phone and I gave her our company card number and name on the card. Because the name on the card did not match the reservation, I asked for a third-party authorization form. Front desk was very forceful when she asked for my associate's card number. I told her again that we were a company in California booking a room for an associate who is working in Oregon who does not have a company card. I again, asked for a third-party authorization form, in which she asked if I provided the form (the hotel should have them) and then asked for my email and proceeded to say it would be too hard for her to email me that form. I asked her how hard it was to attach a form to an email and press send. She told me that I can book the appointment on expedia and hung up the phone. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay, the Rodeway Inn in Albany 10 minutes away is a better stay with friendly stuff that have better customer service. Later, once my associate arrived, he checked in and texted me saying she was rude. He asked her if our previous room was cancelled (the one we booked online through the website) and she said "yeah yeah yeah." She was giving him attitude and was not friendly. I do not know her name, but she did have (what I am assuming) an Indian accent and obviously was a female. The room was described small and not very clean, which is shocking considering the Rodeway Inn in Albany was a far better stay and they are the same chain hotel. Overall, not satisfied. I wanted to move my guys to a different hotel, but unfortunately had to book through expedia because this all happened while my guys were there and they were tired after working an 8 hour shift and then driving 14 hours to the hotel in Oregon. Please work on customer service and stop being lazy! read more

Was going to book online and decided it wait in case I decided to get into town a day late, online pricing was $56 for the night. When I arrived and walked in to book a room she charged me $110 because it was a walk in reservation. I collected my room key and asked what time the continental breakfast started and was told 7-10am. Showed up at 7:45 am for some coffee and the front doors were still locked and no continental breakfast set up. Rang the "after hours" door bell and a male appeared half awake and in pajamas still, advised that they are running late for setting up the breakfast. I was not expecting a lot from the get go with the hotel accommodations but the way I was treated from the start of my checking in from the female to the poor management and lack of a very simple continental breakfast I had to sign up for a yelp account and write this review. read more

For the price, I was extremely disappointed. It was a busy week in Corvallis, so the price was raised to over $180 a night but shouldn't be over $70. The carpet lifted up at entry to the room, our bathroom door didn't close all the way, and there was not enough hot water to take showers in the morning. I will not stay here again. It's not worth the money. read more
