The rooms were very nice and clean. There was cute little figure made out of a towel. The breakfast was one of the best I've had at a hotel.

I was very disappointed with my stay. When we checked the bathroom, we found three different-sized spiders, which made us question the cleanliness of the room. There were also spider webs in the window, indicating that the room had not been thoroughly cleaned before our arrival. For the price we paid, we expected a much cleaner and better-maintained room. Unfortunately, this experience made our stay uncomfortable, and I would not recommend this hotel. read more

Be aware of your self in this place. Lots to be said for the cleanliness. Pulled back the sheets and didn't look bc wasn't expecting there to be danger. Woke from a nap to find a dried on blood stain in the middle of my sheets. Check my body no cuts, obviously dried from a prior visit, but with everything going on in the world Today can never be too careful. Plus the couch looked like it had been used as a cat's stretching post and the full conditioner in the shower didn't pump out. Yet management only offered me Half a return since I stayed until 2:30 am. Manager lied saying she offered it to me there and then but I damn well k ow that wasn't the case. Checked in and was told our request for top floor room was denied because we booked through a third party and could not change it even if we paid more. Cigarette smell in bathroom. We went to dinner and stopped at desk to have it noted so we wouldn't be charged for smoking due to the smell. Went to the room and it started reeking of cigarette smoke. Normally we love Best Western! Unfortunately this trip was not so great. The breakfast was wonderful, the room was reasonably clean and the majority of the staff was pretty nice. However.... we booked this hotel specifically because of the hot tub due to my chronic pain. We were not told it was closed until our arrival. When checking in, the lady at the front counter was pretty snarky and rude.. my husband and me were exhausted from driving and he couldn't remember the word "reservation". The Woman checking us in, looks at me, rolls her eyes and says "words are hard". Um... entirely unprofessional. The rooms had absolutely no sound proofing. We could hear people at 1 am running and laughing down the hall. When going to take a shower there was no shampoo, conditioner, or body wash.. Overall: it did have some decent parts, but, because of the other stuff, I don't believe we will be staying here again. We would rate our stay a 2.5/5. read more

Needed a place to stay for the night w/ family. This Best Western had good reviews and was reasonably priced. Room was clean, everything was neat and tidy. Check in was easy, simple, and the receptionist was kind and welcoming! The pool closes at 11 and the fitness center is 24 hours. The treadmill was out of service but they had a cable machine and dumbbells up to 50, so you can still get a good workout in. Complimentary breakfast was great and filling! We stayed in the jetted tub room for one night, the front desk staff member was awesome and friendly. We did not use the indoor pool area, but it looked nice. As we walked into the room, it had a strange smell, and in desperate need of being renovated. It's not worth paying extra for the jetted tub, it was extremely small. The breakfast was terrible as well, the staff member was more focused on cleaning tables. Hardly any food was left at 8:30am. Unfortunately we will never stay there again. read more

The worst experience I've ever had at a Best Western Plus. I have a two year old that doesn't walk due to a disability so she scoots everywhere on her bottom and is unable to wear shoes. The Gal working the counter in the morning not only yelled at her for not wearing shoes but would not allow my daughter to eat breakfast due to her inability to walk or wear shoes due to her disability. The day prior the same gal yelled at my husband for going in the breakfast room at 10am to help me carry stuff back to our room. Best Western is a fairly solid place to stay. We've stayed at many different BW hotels throughout the US and they are fairly consistent. You get a standard room, decent service and a better than average breakfast. I was so happy to see they had their breakfast buffet and it was chock full of great stuff. There is something here for everyone. I personally had the scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes and biscuits and gravy plus a little banana muffin! Coffee and orange juice rounded it out. I was good to go till dinner! The bed was comfortable and anything we needed they helped us out, so no issues at all. Price was decent, and location was fine. read more

The parking lot is not gated. I saw several people (look homeless) sitting on a bike staring at the cars in the parking lot. After we went into our room. Our TV doesn't work. Has no connection. I tried calling the front desk, but the phone doesn't work properly. Minus 1 star. After the TV was fixed, I noticed several short hair on the top of bed sheet. I lifted it the sheet, more dog hair. Ugh!! So the front desk guy says this is a dog friendly hotel. Minus 2 stars. I know dog owners let dogs sleep on the bed. So, I won't be coming back to this Best Western. My fiancé and I stayed here on may 31st 2020 when had been there a couple hours when my fiancé noticed a bed bug on the shower curtain we left immediately and let front desk know. Their wasn't a manager on site and since I used Expedia from booking this hotel I'm having to go through them for my refund and was told they have emailed them and will let me know. I will update when I found out what they do. Update June 2 2020 They have refused the refund stating no bugs were found. They disregarded the fact that I had proof and that even though I was only there 4 hours and had checked out before midnight they will still be charging me the full stay amount. I advise people to go somewhere else this place only cares about your money and the staff are only friendly when a customer is around. read more

I stayed here three nights while visiting the area since we plan to relocate here from California in one month. Every staff member I encountered went above and beyond and we're very friendly. The complementary breakfast was awesome with a huge selection of food and the woman taking care of it was extremely hospitable and friendly. I would give all the staff at this location a 5++! I only gave a four out of five rating because the rooms are outdated I think the best western chain needs to invest money in updating the rooms the bed was comfortable the room was clean I didn't have any other concerns with it just my observation was that the rooms need to be updated. Please management, be aware of the top notch quality of all the staff. read more

I reserved this room online specifically because of the sofa bed - it's all I can get my 2 year old granddaughter to sleep in. When we got to our floor, we noticed it was dirty, there were barking dogs and absolutely no baseboards, just old glue from where they used to be. When we walked into the room it was even worse. It had a very strong odor of FISH - seriously, fish! We opened the sofabed so my GD could get a nap before dinner and there was absolutely NO MATTRESS in the bed! I went to the front desk and asked to be moved to a room with the appropriate # of beds that I reserved and paid for and one that didn't wreak of fish. I was told there were no rooms like ours and she wouldn't be able to move me. Our consolation prize was a rollaway bed that my GD wouldn't sleep in and a bottle of linen scented air freshener which lasted about a minute and a half. We were so exhausted after traveling up from California with a 2 year old that we decided to stay the night here instead of driving the remaining 5 hours home. I wish I had of kept on driving instead of wasting my 14,000+ points plus almost a hundred dollars on this room that shouldn't even be rented out by the hour. Not only were we missing 1/3 of the beds we rented, but the bathroom was filled with what seemed to be crumbs, a door that had missing chunks, a light that sounded like a plane taking off everytime it was turned on, black all over the jets on the tub (I'm assuming mold) that was so dirty I couldn't bath my granddaughter and let's get to the sheets now! I have stayed in Best Western's my whole life, I even worked at one in my 20's and I have never - NEVER been subjected to pee proof sheets on my hotel bed - they seriously think we were going to wet the bed! The plastic feel was so hot and disgusting that we spent the next few hours, completely clothed with our jackets on, lying on top of the blankets, trying to at least take a nap in-between one of the other rooms dogs constantly having barking fits! We gave up at 5:30 and packed up our exhausted and grumpy granddaughters things and went to at least grab some breakfast. We pretty much threw most of it away, settled for a glass of juice and resigned ourselves to driving the final leg home with no sleep. The girl at the front desk said she was leaving a note for the manager, whom she said was the only one that could do a partial refund because of the smell and part of our room not even being there - I have yet to receive a call or even an email which is very uncommon for a Best Western! I hope Best Western can distance themselves from this property before Best Western itself gets a bad name and reputation. For breakfast theres powdered eggs, powdered gravy, cold unseasoned potatoes, and stale cereal - McDonald's isn't the best, but it blows this Best Western's breakfast out of the water! read more

My family stayed here for four nights at Christmas. We really liked this hotel. I give it four stars because the facilities are a bit dated. That said, the hotel is a good value for the money. Our daughters especially enjoyed the complimentary breakfast each morning. I would recommend this hotel for people traveling with children. read more

We frequently chose Best Western Hotels as we travel with a small dog traveling and find they are often pet friendly. Prairie inn was a nice surprise during a long road trip. Our room was sparkling clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable (although I'm not a fan of the small square pillows) with crisp linens that were just the right weight. Our interactions with the staff were all friendly and accommodating. One of the nicest Best Westerns we've stayed in! read more

I will say of the last 6 BW Plus locations, we have stayed at....this one is my top choice. We have stayed 2x in 6 months and both times: friendly hotel employees great us, clean rooms, comfortable quiet rooms and the pet station being right out front is wonderful. This trip a mix up in our reservation (informed of it upon check in, at 10 pm) was not only corrected before we arrived, they had upgraded us to a king suite. I mean it was a quick overnight of sleep, but that kind of customer service goes a long way in my eyes. read more

We stayed here for a long weekend while visiting our daughter. While the hotel is very clean, it's very noisy. We did get to check in a bit early and she said she had to switch our room since the one we we're supposed to have wasn't ready. Unfortunately, the room we got was next to the elevator. So we heard that constantly. We were also only about 50 feet from the pool and we could hear all the screams and laughter until it closed at 11 each night. I figured out the exercise room was also next to us because someone sure loved running on the treadmill. A lot. The light/fan in our bathroom sounded like a small airplane was in there. Breakfast was ok, typical (powdered) eggs, dry sausage, gloppy sausage gravy. But they also had two sizes of waffle makes, one making a large Belgian, and the other you could do up to 4 small round ones. That was nice. They had a breakfast burrito area which was my favorite. I think there were 10" tortillas, ( not tiny ones), *real* bacon, cheese, sour cream, jalapenos and good salsa. Staff here seemed nice but never looked up or acknowledged you first. If I said hello they would respond but never offered anything more. And one night I had brought back leftovers to eat for dinner but didn't have any utensils. I thought the breakfast area would be locked, and I wanted to ask permission to go in there. The young man was pretty condescending, I felt. "Yes, take hold of the door knob, turn it and push the door open." Couldn't he have just said "go ahead and help yourself, the door isn't locked." ??? Would we stay here again? Not sure. Room was nice, and clean. Lots of options at the breakfast. Everyone was pleasant. The area was not noisy.

If you are an FBI agent or police detective who is wishing to hear every word of the person you are investigating, I recommend getting the room next to them at this hotel. It's like the walls were made to project sound, not deaden it. From the TV next door to the woman eat-crying on her car trunk outside to the people on the other side of us who took more showers in one day than ought to be allowed, we were in on it all. The A/C was able to drown it out somewhat, but the button labeled "fan always on" must mean something in a language I don't speak, because the fan was decidedly NOT always on. 24 hour pool is nice, but it's the size of a postage stamp and the bubbles on the hot tub don't work... You're just kidding yourself calling that an exercise room... The night staff were very nice, parking was plentiful and breakfast goes til 10 on weekends. (no bacon?) But it's hard to be cheery when the neighbors keep you from sleeping. And the wifi is crap. read more

Pretty standard Best Western. The rooms desperately need a facelift, the beds are a little hard to settle into, and you can hear every step the people on the floor above you take. The internet was also a little shoddy and would go down every few hours (which wouldn't have been a huge deal if they didn't require a username and password every time you reconnect). On the other hand, the location is pretty decent, the breakfast is good, and the air conditioner actually managed to keep me somewhat cool during several 100° days. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating, and as long as you're not there during some major event, the price is reasonable. read more

We have been Best Western customers for years, but today's experience in Albany will change that.  The front desk clerk was totally rude and inconsiderate, and all in a span of just thirty minutes.  First, when neither of our room keys worked, I returned to the front desk. She was on the phone finalizing a reservation.  I assumed that she was the only one on duty, but when she put that guest on hold to ask her manager a question, I wondered why she didn't ask him to come and assist me, as I had been waiting for awhile.  The keys did work this time, but after opening the door, we found that housekeeping had not picked up dirty towels.  There were no clean towels, and the waste baskets needed to be emptied.  My husband called the front desk, and talked to the same clerk who informed him that since we were "stay over" guests, and since they were short staffed, we shouldn't expect daily housekeeping. Her tone was dismissive.  OK, we would pick up the clean towels the next time we passed the front desk.  Our daughter and son-in-law arrived and waited for us with ice coffees in the lobby.  No one informed them that they couldn't wait there. I joined them, and we were all fully masked except when we were actively sipping our coffee or eating chips.  The desk clerk walked by the sofa and told us that we'd need to keep our masks on when we were in the common spaces.  We immediately followed her instructions.  A moment later she passed by again, and thanked us for complying.  My daughter politely asked if there was a policy against eating in the lobby as we didn't want to break their rules.  The clerk said "I'm just stating hotel policy.  There's no need for attitude."  She re-entered the office, slamming the door behind her.  The only person in this encounter with a bad attitude was the clerk!  We just wanted clarification.  We left immediately and finished our coffees in the car as we waited for my husband, who was still in the room.  We no longer felt welcomed at our hotel.  We understand that COVID has severely impacted hotel service and staffing issues, but it is never an excuse for offensive behavior. I want to note that everyone else that we have met at the hotel, especially the manager of the breakfast room and the clerk who checked us in, have been hospitable, helpful, and friendly. This is why I can't give the hotel a one star rating. read more

We left our room at 10am. Room didn't get cleaned. Key was disabled both nights we stayed. Went to front desk. She said they called us all the day before because they didn't have us sign the dog policy. She said she knocked on our door all day. I told her we didn't hang out in our room all day ! . We did sign the dog policy and turned it in this morning.The assistant was sitting with her friend In The lobby on the phone. She acted like it was a bother to leave her couch to help with my key. It was when I went back to my room I noticed we had no clean towels. I called the front desk for clean towels. She said I had to go and get them. When I went to the front t desk she was talking about a rude costumer to her two friends. Which I am sure she was talking about me and how we did not like the mask policy .I asked for manager name. We checked in yesterday at this hotel and unfortunately our room wasn't ready and it was already after 4:00 pm. The staff here was amazing and let us get ready in a near by office ! I wasn't able to shower like I wanted to and my husband clothes need ironing but My family and I made it work . Although it was a busy weekend for college family the staff here will go and beyond to help you ! The drive is about 4 mins on the highway and another 10 minutes to Corvallis not bad at all ! The breakfast bar looked so yummy however the eggs and potatoes were gross ! The fresh fruit was amazing and the yogurt ! Stick with the basics and skip the eggs, sausage and potatoes they need to use fresh breakfast whether than frozen ! Yuck !!! read more

Late at night I ended up with a mind splitting migraine headache. This had me getting violently sick from the nausea. My 11 year old daughter (who took care of me) walked me down to the lobby to see if there was any advil I could buy. The night host was super apologetic for not having any that I could purchase. She was visiting with a man and that man offered to go to the Chevron and buy me some. She called my room when he returned and free of charge provided me with a full bottle of Advil Migraine. It was exceptional treatment they both provided. My kids were nervous as to what made me so sick. I am back home today and feeling much better. But I will never forget these two lifesavers for going out of their way to help me and set my kids' mom's at ease. Thank you so much read more

I would like to say first I've been a frequent guest here and multiple times just in Albany I find it to where I will never come back here again. First off I made reservations for adjourning rooms bring that my daughter just got out of the hospital and this is during a heatwave recently we had. Got got to the hotel the last up front said she does not have adjourning rooms because it is a first come first serve basis. I did it was reserved you mean to tell me don't matter if we made reservations she said yes there Albany policy is first come first serve. Ok well that's strike one why do reservations and find out that your not able to reserve your room you reserved anywho fine soo I get to one of the rooms and the A/C is not working she said we can give you a box fan. At this point I'm like what ever. The reason why we're here is because the state is going thru a heat wave. Ok fine I wasn't happy at this point, we sign up earlier to go pool because they allow 30 min so we did reserve a time slot get there ppl were still swimming and I asked the same front desk lady that there time has expired she said well there is a clock in there I'm like ok 15 over there time by now she's now walking west back to her desk I'm like you know what I'm done. She was rude from the beginning till the very end. The whole stay was horrible and I will not be coming back. They soo gave me rooms I never reserved for soo now the price changed for one night two rooms were $268 to now $$470 for night stay. read more

Stayed here off expedia for web special of 103.00 for king bedroom. We had 2 adults plus a 17 year old. I picked this room because it was large (it stated it could fit up to 4 people) so I thought, yep, might as well not be squished! Bigger bang for the buck. While it could not fit 4, it was built to fit 3 adults and way better than a standard sized room for the same price. We got a rollaway bed for the 17 year old and that fit the room fine, but hence, NOT the 17 year old. Please note ** the rollaway is built for a 10 year old only. There is also NO small soaps in the bathroom to wash your hands. I find that annoying living with 2 other men. Really? You can't splurge for hotel soap Best Western? But small price to pay for the web special. This room had a fridge and a microwave in the web special - that was a good deal. The king bed was decent. Breakfast was plain at best. Wifi was free. For 103.00 I'd say I would take this deal again if I were traveling. It seems the best in the area for the space for three adults. You will find you can do no better for this amount of money in Albany. read more

There are a lot of hotels near the I-5 in Albany. I come down here once every quarter or so. I like this Best Western, you can almost always get a good price line rate. There is a large free breakfast in the morning, There is a indoor pool, good for kiddo's, though I have never used it. The beds are large and comfortable enough fora hotel by the freeway. This is a consistently nice place. Clean, convienient, good price and waffles for breakfast! read more

The actual room, breakfast, and original check in experience was great. Libby was AWESOME. However, here is the deal. We booked our stay through Priceline. I know this makes us in the lowest caste is hotel guests to management. This translated into a very confusing moment for us. When we booked this hotel we knew we needed Sunday night. Later we decided to come for Saturday night too. So Priceline lets you add an additional night for the same price after your original reservation. What I didn't know was that these are two 100% different reservations. So on Sunday evening (after staying Saturday night) we returned to find our keys no longer worked. We went to the front desk and were told we were supposed to check out and move rooms from one night to the next and that if we wanted to stay in the same room tonight we needed to pay a $20 room upgrade fee. FOR THE SAME UNCLEANED ROOM WE STAYED IN LAST NIGHT. Now if I hadn't called to confirm the two night reservation for the same room I could maybe understand. Now if they had explained the need to check out when we checked in. Now if they hadn't made it feel like we were an inconvenience because we were priceline customers. I might not have given 2 stars. But here's the thing. Don't penalize me for your mistake. Don't tell me it's standard for people to change rooms night to night because they don't want to leave their stuff in the room. And don't penalize me for wanting the same room for two nights when you knew this ahead of time. This was just massive clusterf@$k on your part. Not impressed. read more

We spent New Year's Eve here the last 2 years in a row on our way home from Montana. This is the nicest hotel we have stayed in. The rooms are a little smaller than average "plus hotels" but they are so nice it makes up for it! Great breakfast and great staff! Very clean and modern hotel. Nice quiet location too! The first night I was turning down my bed and saw a large area of dried blood on the comforter on the edge that would be by my face. Yuk! I asked for a clean one & she didn't even offer to put it on the bed for me either. It appears they are trying to upgrade a few things but they have a long way to go. When I arrived she had my reservation (I assume) but didn't find a type of room for which I reserved (queen bed) so she upgraded me to a king which was nice. The size of room was good, unfortunately it was one by the busy road so I wore ear plugs and was ok. read more
