Then I just wanted a plain iced coffee and I saw them pour an entire cup of milk and ice and fortunately I told them I did not want milk in time. They seemed confused and I realized for an iced coffee they were just going to give me a huge cup of milk with one shot of espresso for $6!! I finally got my espresso shot over ice and even that was terrible.

I've tried several of their sandwiches, salads, and the sweet potato fries, and the service has always been quick and efficient. The Downtown location sits on a corner and gets a lot of natural light, which makes for a bright and pleasant atmosphere. It's also always very clean, which, unfortunately, can be a bit of a rarity Downtown. With so many restaurants having closed on this side of the neighborhood, Macondo has become one of the few reliable options left for a good lunch Downtown. It's definitely become one of my go-to spots in the area.

My mom ordered the breakfast burrito. The menu says that the Dubai pancakes come with three buttermilk pancakes, milk chocolate, crushed pistachio, kataifi pistachio, strawberry, raspberry, and maple syrup. I felt like the pancakes could have had more milk chocolate possibly between one more layer as it starts to get a little dry after the top layer where all the toppings are. It would have also been nice to have a little larger cup with more maple syrup to help with that. The crushed pistachios and kataifi added a nice little crunch. The strawberries were fresh. Unfortunately, there were no raspberries on my pancakes so those were missing. I ordered my iced strawberry matcha with regular whole milk. It was creamy and refreshing. The breakfast burrito comes with flour tortilla, scrambled eggs, bacon, cheddar cheese, home potatoes, pico de gallo, and sour cream all inside the burrito and a salad on the side. The tortilla was nice and soft. The bacon was crispy and added the right amount of saltiness. The home potatoes were flavorful and well seasoned. A great combination of ingredients for the breakfast burrito overall. Compliments to Yad, one of the employees there, who was the first to greet my mom and I when we came in. She answered our questions and explained the ordering process. She then made sure to clean our table as we were sitting down. She also brought us our food with a smile. I don't know if something was wrong with my taste buds but I honestly didn't taste much of a difference with the garlic cilantro and dijon vinaigrette besides the vinaigrette being, well, more acidic. I couldn't have told you what was in the garlic cilantro was if I didn't know what kind of sauce it was.
