I am a patient at this location and I have had most of my care with Perales the PA and also have had telecoms with Dr. Rodriguez and I have had nothing but great quality care. Perales has been great from day one with my care and always taking her time during every visit to answer any questions or concerns. She is amazing and efficent. All of the staff from the front office to the back office are also amazing. They are always welcoming, professinal and helpful. This complaint concerns both process failures and staff conduct. On Monday morning, I contacted your office to address the urgent need for a prior authorization and refill of my prescribed medications. These medications are medically necessary for my survival--specifically insulin--and are not discretionary or available over the counter. During this call, I spoke with Josephina, who assured me that she would immediately contact the mail-order pharmacy, ensure the authorization was processed, and follow up with me. She explicitly stated that the matter would be handled and that I would receive a return call. None of these assurances were fulfilled. After two days passed with no medication, no confirmation, and no follow-up, I contacted the office again to request a status update. During this call, Josephina admitted that she had contacted the pharmacy a limited number of times and stated that she was "too busy" to do so on the day of my follow up call. This admission was delivered without apology or acknowledgment of the seriousness of the situation. At this point, I had already spent 48 hours in limbo regarding medication required for my survival. It is critical to note that I had clearly explained to Josephina that the mail-order pharmacy cutoff time was 12:00 PM, that insulin shipments could only occur Monday through Wednesday due to overnight shipping requirements, and that failure to meet this window would result in further delay and risk. Despite this information being clearly communicated, no action was taken. By the time I contacted your office again, I had been without insulin for approximately 26 hours. During my subsequent call, Josephina again stated that the issue would be resolved and that a coworker would send the medication to the mail-order pharmacy. I waited an additional two hours. When no confirmation was received, I contacted the pharmacy directly. At that time, Wanda, a representative at the mail-order pharmacy, informed me that only one medication was on file--and it was not insulin. At this point, Wanda remained on the line with me while I contacted your office again to resolve the discrepancy. During this call, I interacted with both Josephina and Araceli (Office Manager). The conduct I encountered was hostile, dismissive, and unprofessional. Despite being informed--by both myself and the mail-order pharmacy--that the insulin prescription had not been received, I was told the issue had already been "taken care of. " This assertion was demonstrably false. I had in my possession: Digital receipts from the mail-order pharmacy reflecting my visit and medications The mail-order pharmacist actively on the call Time-stamped confirmation from the pharmacy showing that insulin had never been received. My partner and the mail-order pharmacist were present for and witnessed the entirety of this conversation. Eventually, your office staff acknowledged that the initial prescription had been sent to the incorrect pharmacy. Rather than correcting this error, the situation was further compounded. Instead of properly resubmitting the prescription to the mail-order pharmacy, your office contacted a local retail pharmacy. My insurance does not cover retail fills for this medication, a fact that was clearly explained. I should not that the local pharmacy called to tell me directly. As a direct result of this action: The medication could not be dispensed. The retail pharmacy placed a hold on the prescription. My account was flagged for suspected fraudulent activity due to attempts to refill a mail-order-only medication at retail. When I relayed this information to your staff--while the mail-order pharmacist remained on the call and provided verifiable timestamps--I was met with further defensiveness, deflection, and what can only be described as active attempts to shift blame rather than correct the error. At no point did your office take ownership of the mistake. At no point was there a meaningful attempt to immediately rectify the situation. Instead, one error was compounded by another, resulting in nearly 72 hours of medication interruption, unnecessary escalation with pharmacies and insurance, and significant emotional and physical distress. I approached this situation calm, collected, and focused on resolution. I did not create this problem. I simply asked for a remedy. Your office chose deflection over accountability and escalation over correction. This complaint is being formally documented. If this matter is not addressed appropriately, my next steps include filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, consulting legal counsel, and submitting reports to relevant regulatory and labor oversight bodies in California. read more

I am only rating the front desk staff member seated at the very front . She was not professional. After my appointment--which was excellent thanks to the friendly, welcoming, and professional nurse and nurse practitioner--Although I did not get to see Rodriguez during my first visit. I needed to schedule my next appointment, Instead of helping me quickly so I could leave, the front desk staff member(the one on the left after you enter) told me to sit back down in the lobby and wait, even though this was a simple scheduling request. I felt uncomfortable being asked to sit among other patients who were coughing, while she appeared to prioritize other tasks, such as entering information or handling unrelated work, over something that could have been completed in a minute. Also It is very hard to reach the office via phone, almost like they're not picking up the phone. Unfortunately, this experience affected my visit. I am only providing this rating based on that specific experience, not the rest of the staff. I've been seeing Dr Rodriguez for years and she is fantastic! She's not one of those docs who is constantly running late and leaving you in the waiting room or exam room forever. I've always been seen on time. And her staff is great, too They're all very nice and when I've had questions or needed information, they've returned my calls promptly. But besides all those basics that you'd expect (or at least hope for), Dr Rodriguez makes me feel well taken care of. She spends time asking pertinent questions and taking notes so I don't feel like I'm always having to tell her the same info at every appointment. And what I most appreciate is that I don't just see her when I'm sick. She makes sure that I regularly get all the tests I need (mammogram, blood work, colonoscopy, etc) to manage and maintain my health. I really can't recommend her enough. Her office is well-run and efficient, she's kind and thorough and it's obvious that she has her patients' best interest at heart. If you're looking for a doctor who sincerely cares and treats you with respect, you can't go wrong with Dr Rodriguez. read more

I have been an established patient with Dr. Rodriguez for years. I have never been 100% satisfied with her care and the overall customer service of the office, but never had made a change due to the convinience of location and also that they already had all my medical history. Just this month I became eligible for Medicare. Dr. Rodriguez became insistent and pushy on me joining a Medicare Advantage Plan. I told her I was unsure if I would. She then mentioned that if I didn't enroll in one of the plans she recommend she would be unable to see me. However, this seemed inaccurate to me as I had verified that she is currently a contracted Medicare provider. Meaning, she is able to see me and my insurance will pay her but she is choosing NOT to. I asked the office staff for more clarification and they said they would have her call me. I never got a call from her and we never discussed this issue further. I needed a prescription refill last week and called her office and I was told I was "discharged" as a patient because I am now under traditional Medicare. I was completely shocked because this information was not communicated to me in any way, not in writing or via telephone. Having chronic conditions which require medication and constant MD visits and suddenly being left without a Doctor without knowing is the worst thing possible. I am now scrambling to find a efficient and compassionate provider who can take over my care immediately as I need my medication. I did call Medicare and they confirmed she is a contracted provider. Additionally, I filed a grievance with Medicare as this is unacceptable and feels like discrimination. How do you sign a contract stating you will accept Medicare patients but then pick and chose who you want to see? It is unprofessional and shows her lack of empathy and compassion to her patients and their well-being. She is only concerned with getting that insurance $ in the door. Lets just say I am now with a new doctor and much more comfortable. Staff from this office look like they are miserable being there, and the doctor checks you quickly and does not bother to ask if you have any questions or concerns. Personally, whenever I stopped her to ask a question, I felt as if I was bothering her by the way she would respond, so at times I wouldnt ask questions. before hand I'd like to say I have a PPO with anthem blue cross. I show up, try to open the door, a security guard had to help me open it, upon opening it, i see at least 4 nurses waiting there that obviously saw me struggling to open the door but for some reason did not open it. I walk up to the nurses station and explain that I'm a new patient and a walk-in. (and yes i called ahead of time to confirm that they are taking walk-ins and new patients, i was told YES) I was then told they weren't taking new patients and refused to let the doctor see me. I hope this isn't a reflection of the doctor herself, but her staff is horrible and I refuse to recommend this office to ANYONE. read more

Horrible horrible service!! I usually Yelp to see a business so that helps to see if I would like it there or not. You choose out of all the reviews to see if you want to go to this doctor office. I'm just simply helping to avoid this place based on my experience. The young ladies she has in the front except for one are all rude!!! Don't know why I'm still there at the doctor after she misdiagnosed my sister, my sister ended up getting diagnosed at stage 4 skin cancer through another doctor. she would tell her it was a skin acne and would take long to give her appointments. She wasn't pushing anyone to try to get my 28 year old sister treated. Even the oncologist said why didn't she have things speeded up. He even started chemo on my sister way before dr Martha had approvals for it. The supervisor also is rude! Dr Martha needs to get some helpful medical staff before all her patients are gone. Watch out for the misdiagnose and make sure you push them to look further into your symptoms to send you to do other test of she can find the source of the way you feel. This doctor could not solve the simple problem of removing wax from my ear. They charged me $155.00 and to add insult to injury, I waited 45 minutes in an empty waiting room to be seen by the doctor. If you have anything more serious than a headache which an aspirin will cure, I would stay away from this doctor. Hands down, one of the worst doctors I have ever been treated by. I went there with a severe condition which I cannot disclose to remain anonymous and she gave me SLEEPING PILLS. No referral to a specialist, nothing! Luckily, I googled a specialist for the problem I was having and got seen soon, otherwise my problem would have gotten worse.
