Bought a new Yamaha VX waverunner. I was told that after 10 hours I needed to bring it back in for oil changed. ONE week after I have spent 15k. They told me they could get me in in 2 1/2 weeks Then they said bring it in tomorrow and we'll get it done. Waited 7 hours and they never touched the machine. They told me to come back tomorrow and it would be ready I only live 1 hour way. Never again will I deal with this dealer. read more

So I called and scheduled a test ride the next day, they called in the morning and had some probable lie about it not having blinkers on it yet..um huh ? They said they'ld call when it was ready in a few days, 10 days later called and said sold it to someone else. Then said had another used one of same model so I scheduled for the next day a test ride and drove 85 miles one way, when I got there they said fkn sold that one on me too ! Total scumbags, and I read that they have done the same thing to others too ! , find a different dealership ! read more

Smart. Friendly. Helpful. Fair. While motorcycle riding the Driftless area with friends, I realized my front tire was too badly worn for safety. I love this place! I bought my very first motorcycle here in 2009. It was an '09 Suzuki DR650 which I still have. The service has always been excellent, the store is always well stocked with jackets, helmets and other gear in my size. If they don't have it, they can probably order it. Just ask. The inventory is always new. Nothing gets dusty here. This always makes for a good excuse to stop by and kick some tires. Fall of 2016 I bought my second new bike from them, a 2016 Kawasaki Versys 1000LT. I like that the sales staff isn't on commission. In fact Neil recommended I ride the Versys 650LT as well. That was the only snag as I ended up losing a lot of sleep over it. Lol. Unlike the euro bike dealer in Altoona Wisconsin who burned me on my second bike purchase, I'm sure that if problems do arise I'll have no issues getting warranty work done on it. It's not uncommon to meet folks from here at motorcycle related gatherings: The Flood Run, The Slimey Crud Run, various motorcycle rallies and various charity/motorcycle events. These guys aren't just salesmen and parts jockeys, they're knowledgeable, experienced enthusiasts. I can't say a bad word about Rod's Ride on Powersports. read more

Bought a CFMoto UTV and the winch broke a gear just after warranty expired. Of course they can't get parts so I had to buy a new winch. Then the switch for the winch went out and they would need to order. Service and parts might as well not exist or CFMoto is just crap for getting anything. But would not recommend Rod's or CFMoto. read more

First time buying a bike and was a great experience with all the guys and women their. I let my emotions get the best of my got excited and realized after signing all my papers they never discussed pricing with me. Originally settled for a 2018 permission red Z125 Pro which msrp is $3,199 but couldn't wait so settled for a 2018 Z125 Pro which msrp is $3,399 (originally what Honda groms go for) signed the papers and realized it's $3,799. Long story short just check pricing before purchasing. I could have spent $400 in gas drove to Florida and picked up the same bike for $3,399 and still had cash left over as stupid as that may sound. read more

Just bought a sport motorcycle from Rod's on Saturday. He personally took care of me, from driving 30 minutes away to look at my cycles for trade values, giving me a fair price on the cycle I bought and parts, and then delivering my cycle and picking up my trades. Great experience, and will recommend my friends to go there. read more

Way too many salesman with no service! Waited a half hour for someone to help me just to be ignored a minute later because someone he knew needed parts. I walked out and went to 2Brothers and got what I needed within ten minutes. I'll never go Rod's worthless power sports again. read more

We reached out to Rod's Ride On Powersports initially through their website to receive assistance on information regarding the differences in Sea Doos and Yamahas, as we were interested in getting a jet ski geared towards beginners. We had made contact with 2Brothers as well, however, we ended up being able to make it to Rod's prior to going to 2Brothers, as the former is located closer to where we live. Rod had printed up information for us on the differences between the two jet skis, which was the same type of information we had found during our own research, which told us that he was not just blowing smoke, and he also provided additional information. We were leaning more towards the Yamaha before going in to discuss the differences, but after talking to Rod, we just decided to move forward with the Yamaha. When it came time for the test drive, he had the Yamaha we were interested in, as well as a Kawaski. The Yamaha was a little difficult for us beginners to steer and manuever without the fear of tipping over, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. Once we were done, Rod encouraged us to try out the Kawaski. With nothing to lose, we hopped on and within seconds knew that was the jet ski for us! It was much more sturdy and easier for us to control and it went fast! We bought the Kawaski the following day. Rod's wife is in charge of the financing process and that went extremely smooth for us. She thoroughly went over the pricing options, in regards to the warranties and coverage prices, interest rates, and offered exceptional advice for us on how to proceed. The thing that blew us away with Rod's Ride On Powersports is that we went in to consider only the Yamaha but then Rod, based off what we told him, encouraged us to consider the Kawaski, which was a considerable amount cheaper than the Yamaha. Right as soon as we walked in the door and met Rod, we knew he was sincere and really enjoys what he does. The best thing for us, is that the customer service did not end when we signed the paperwork. They delivered the jet ski to our home, since we didn't have a hitch installed yet and live close by. Furthermore, when we took the jet ski out for the first time and had extreme difficulty figuring out how to get the trailer set up and the jet ski off of it and all that (since it was our first time dealing with a trailer), we were able to call Rod's Ride On Powersports and be guided through on how to do things properly. We are new to jet skis and do not have much knowledge on how they should operate. Our first time out, we hit a sandbar (thankfully I was driving slow) and saw smoke coming from the back. We were able to call up Rod and he walked us through on what to do to ensure the jet ski's engine was okay. He even took it out on the water the next day to make sure that everything was okay with it. I was born and raised in Southern California, where I also went through the process of buying my first car. This is the second time since moving to the area where we have dealt with dealers (the first time was a new car) where we received first class customer service and did not feel as if we were being taken advantage of, unlike our experience in CA. Yes, things could have been done faster the day of purchase (which didn't bother us), but we were not the only ones buying something and we were not the only ones who did not need their service and attention. With any other need that may arise in regards to power sports, we will have no doubt on where to go. read more

The owner and sales staff was very helpful in giving me info on new bikes when I was looking to buy. I decided to buy from somewhere else, but it was not for dissatisfaction of the Rod's Ride On experience, they had just sold the bike I wanted the week before. Bummer. Even though I have not purchased a bike from Rod's Ride On, I have done plenty of service there. The service department is thorough, honest, friendly, and reasonably priced. They have gone above and beyond for me. Truly outstanding service. The parts department is knowledgable, approachable, and also reasonably priced. Bought a quality pair of riding gloves and they found room for a discount at checkout. Also, needed a new visor for my helmet and it was there in a couple days. Like Amazon delivery speed. Every visit is pleasant. We will be in the market for a new bike for the girlfriend soon, we'll be stopping here first :) read more
