Took my car here for break work. Breaks only feels a little better! Also my car had a white paint scuff mark on the right front, and a broken left finder piece. Where they replaced the Caliper. This place has horrible customer service. Their hours are until 5 daily which doesn't match their posted hours online. I called to have them look at a tire yesterday at 4:40 after work. Was told they had people already and to come as soon as I got off today. However today they couldn't look at my car either. They stated they had people again, The guy I spoke with was very unprofessional and rude. If they have posted hours they should take care of anyone they shows up before that time. After years of using them I will be going elsewhere. Don't even want to give one star but can't make this posted without picking one read more

Very, rude and unprofessional. We had done our tires here and they messed up our valves and put too much air in our tires. One tire read 50 psi when it's to be only 34. That being said they valves are ruined ( that weren't before) and they told us to come in today and now won't be able to get us in today at all. ( we live over an hour away) they are trying to say they didn't do anything wrong and someone who didn't work today is the one who told us to come in , yet how did he answer your phone if he wasn't in working today. I have had exhaust repairs and bought tires at Rod's for 30 yrs. Always liked the reasonable charges and decent work. Difficult to write this, because I thought of Rod as a friend. Bought 4 new tires for my Astro, July 2023. Tire man drove lugs on with impact and straight socket. Had a nail 2 weeks later, lug wrench wouldn't budge them, nor a 4 way, it took a 2+ ft long breaker bar. Lugs were hot by the time I got them wrenched all the way off with shards of metal coming out. I went back to Rod's to patch tire and told him about it, he went off on me as if he had never met me before and demanded I get out and not come back. Said he was sick of people like me. As his man put my wheel back on, I asked if I could do the finish torque on the lugs, he just took his impact and slammed them down hard again. I used my Snap-On Torque wrench on the lugs when I got home and it took over 200 ft pounds to get them off. The studs seemed to survive, but all the lugs are destroyed and the rims are damaged, bought new nuts but they won't hold the factory center caps on. Don Lamp. read more

Rod's is the best place in town, hands down. You'll never beat the prices or even come close. I've been taking my vehicles in ever since I've had my license and never had an issue for the past 11 years. Sure sometimes you'll have a small exhaust leak after getting exhaust work done, but mistakes happen. If you take it back in and tell them, they address the issue free of charge every time. And of course they swear, they're mechanics. That's why when you go to any other shop, you wait in a lobby. And if you're that sensitive that hearing profanity hurts your wittle feewings, you've got bigger issues than what your vehicle has. read more

Don't listen to the other two reviews ive met rod he is amazing he usually doesn't charge much more then the base price and labor ive never had a problem with anything he has done on my car ive been to him a couple of times. the one guy mentions how it messed up his electrical but if he was tell the truth 1st he would have noticed it way way way befor he got home and second unless it was a carb car he would have probably had may problems to even getting it to start. (Also yes they curse its a mechanics shop its how 90% of mechanics speak) my best guess is its two people who had problems with there cars before and just are trying to blame it on rod in hopes of a free fix(i have evidence to prove my point but reading there things and knowing the some of the people at the shop im almost positive its not true or they are mistake) in the end if you want a good job done and a price that you really cant beat rods is the place. 10/10 would recommend im going in soon to have my tires changes ill up date this if something has change in my view of the place. read more

Very unprofessional and disorganized. No appointments and customers are taken in whichever order they choose. Passersby hang out in the garage while work is being done, and often distract the employees. They have inexperienced "high school kids" running the shop with no clear direction. Customers working on their own vehicles, and profanity every 3rd word by employees in front of customers. When I went in for a muffler replacement, the employee told me to keep the vehicle ON in the neutral position so he can position the car on the rotary jack correctly. He kept the key engaged during the entire welding job. At first, he said they didn't have my exact muffler but they have one that is "close enough". This should have been my first sign. Then when they finally found the "close enough" one, he hurried up and welded it on backwards. After his swearing tirade, he hurried up and put it back on correctly, but in his haste he struck the body of the vehicle with his welder while the key was still on and damaged my electric door system by overloading the live circuit with his welder lead. I told the manager about it when I was at home after I realized what had happened. He will not take responsibility for damaging my car saying "Stuff just breaks; not my fault. Never heard of anything like that happening before at my shop." I was recommended by a local tire shop to get my muffler replaced here. I told them of the incident with Rod's Tire Town and they will never recommend anyone there again. Nor will I. read more
