This was my first root canal not done by my trusted dentist of 15+ years & I was nervous. They were confident, competent, kind & did an amazing job with zero pain.. I had cracked my front tooth in 3 spots. It was beyond excruciating. Literally worse than labor. Thanks to these guys, one day after my root canal & filling, I'm almost completely pain free. I'll never go anywhere else if I need an Endodontist. The best part was that they made me feel safe & like they actually cared about the end result. They were great & exceeded any expectations I could have had.

One of those things has been tooth pain and finding out I needed to have a root canal before leaving. I was referred to Uzzel Dental Group by a friend and they were able to schedule to see me within two weeks. Dr. Uzzel is the most gentle, kind, and exceptionally talented Dentist I have ever been treated by. He and his staff have been clear with all that is going on and how they would treat it. Dr. Kristy Bultema at Beavercreek Endodontics who he referred to perform my root canal itself was warm and comforting (even after having some not so fun side effects from the numbing agent) and did an amazing job. Then to top it all off due to some PCSing gymnastics I had to wait at Dr. Uzzel's office for a couple of hours after walking across the street from having my root canal done to put the permanent crown on and his staff has been absolutely amazing. (To reiterate the wait was not their fault it was due to PCSing fun. If anything it was a huge favor to squeeze me in before our out processing date.) His staff has taken care of me all morning. Treating me like family. Even giving me snacks and making sure I have been comfortable. Additionally, I had a beautiful connection with a fellow patient that was extremely encouraging. I would recommend Uzzel Dental Group and Beavercreek Endodontics to anyone looking for dental care in the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base area. Especially for those of you that might have aversions to going to the dentist.

Dental pain is sickening. I'm pretty sure it's the worst there is. There's no escaping it either:…read morerelentless. When it comes to relieving it, you will not receive better care from another endodontic group. I've had 4 root canals in the last four years, three from Dr. Menke and one from Dr. Arens at the Dublin and Westerville offices, and each time, I have left feeling truly cared for. Professionalism and expertise is top tier. Dr. Menke has done the last three root canals for me and makes it a point to check on his patients the next day personally to see how things are. When was the last time a medical professional did that in our world? Best guy ever! The first root canal I had was an emergency two days before Xmas in '22 during a blizzard. A two-hour drive turned into three, and my whole head throbbed with pain. Walking out into a field and lying down was definitely on the table. If you know, you know. Dr. Arens took one look at me and in one minute, the pain was gone. The endodontist in Chillicothe I had gone to first actually had numbed my mouth, then looked down and said, "No. I'm not doing it. Your mouth is too small. Just have it pulled." Yep. Zero stars. Do not recommend. Dr. Arens saved my tooth. Despite my frequent brushing and flossing, old fillings have broken or fallen out, requiring more dental work as I've gotten older. Despite the 2-hr drive, Central Ohio Endodonics will always be my first choice for future work. The office staff is also kind and professional - very empathetic - and thoughtful, extending the exemplary dental care to the finish line. I appreciate everyone there. Do yourself a favor and just go there.

They were professional and clearly communicated with me each step of the way. I felt very well taken care of today. One way this experience could have been improved would be to provide a cushion behind your neck during the procedure. I felt it would have been much easier to relax if my neck could have rested against something since it is a long procedure. This would have really changed my overall experience. Besides this, I felt the experience was positive. They got me in quickly and the doctor was professional and efficient.

Dr. Ettrich's owns his practice in Powell, close to the intersection of Powell Rd & Sawmill. I knew I needed a root canal for about a month but put it off, dumb me. I was awaken Friday night in terrible pain and called their office at 12:30 am, knowing I would get their VM. I wanted to see if they were open on Saturday. Someone called me Saturday morning and said they were closed Saturday's but the Dr, rearranged his schedule Monday to get me in. I was very thankful. What I love is that Dr. Ettrich is super cool and laid back, very personable and easy to talk to. It's almost like he's a long lost buddy you're visiting. Dr. Ettrich is VERY gentle and will do whatever you need or it takes so you are completely relaxed and comfortable during your procedure. He specializes and only does root canals and my dentist personally recommended him and now I know why. This is my 2nd visit to Dr. Ettrich and while I really like him, hopefully there are no more root canals in my future. I highly recommend him if you ever find yourself in need of a root canal, you can't go wrong. Honestly the only "eh" part is getting the novacaine shot, but even that is easy in the way he gives them to you and for my big baby butt to say that DOES say alot, trust me.

Truly, if a root canal is a must, Buckeye Endodontics does them as well and efficiently as could any office could. I found them online in a search engine through my insurance provider, which listed them among a handful of other endodontists in the area that were supposedly within network. Now, I have a rare federal dental plan that most dental offices have never even heard of so, imagine my surprise when I called Buckeye Endodontics and the employee on the phone immediately said "oh you have the AVN6 plan? Your co-pay will be $X" AND that number actually matched up to the number I'd seen on my fee schedule prior to calling! I am also 15 weeks pregnant and the staff here communicated with my physician to ensure they followed all recommendations for my safety and that of baby's, which included not using epinephrine in the anesthetic. I felt terrible for arriving a few minutes late on the day of my scheduled treatment but, when I called to alert them, the front desk employee politely said "as long as you're not more than 15 minutes late we'll be able to see you, drive safe!" Upon arrival, both the senior dental assistant (Miranda) and Dr. Simpson were aware that I was pregnant - I know that seems obvious given that they'd already communicated with my doctor prior to my visit but just 2 weeks prior to coming here I went to a dentist, told her I was pregnant, returned for treatment, and almost was injected with epinephrine if not for my asking what was in the numbing agent to which the dentist responded "wait, you're pregnant?!? Did you just find out?!" and I had to point out that, no, actually I had already told her staff that and they actually also had communicated with my doctor. The actual procedure was quick and relatively easy - the TV right above the dental chair playing HGTV sure made the time pass quickly :) Dr. Simpson was diligent to answer all questions I had following the procedure, gave clear verbal and written instructions, and soon I was on my way. I was advised to take pain medication before the anesthetic wore off but, with the whole pregnancy thing, I decided to chance it. And, as Chad mentioned, while expecting the worst, I never did experience any pain - even after the anesthetic wore off! Sure, there was some discomfort and the area was tender but no more actual pain in my mouth - truly life changing! If you need a root canal, look no further than Dr. Simpson and his entire team at Buckeye Endodontics, you won't regret it!

I think it is fairly safe to say that there is nobody who truly enjoys going to the dentist. At…read morebest it's dull and uncomfortable. And at worst.... well, unfortunately my experience with dentists in general has been at the "worst". Thanks to a shattered growth palate, I've really been to hell and back with my teeth, with braces twice, surgeries, and a palate expander that I'm pretty sure was plucked out of a medieval torture chamber. And on top of that, until moving to Columbus, I had never left an orthodontic or dental appointment that didn't leave my mouth feeling as though I had been chewing on razor blades. ...I thought it was normal. But no, it turns out that not every tooth specialist is Steve Martin in Little Shop of Horrors. I first heard about TLC dental at work. There were a couple of people there who swore by Dr. Yim, saying they had never had a less painful experience. Of course I took what was said with a grain of salt. I'd heard the same things about my previous dentists after all. But hey, there were late night and weekend hours which make things super convenient for a work-a-holic like myself. So, I gave him a call. I admit, the first appointments weren't much fun. Despite being a regular flosser and brushing at least once a day, I had managed to rack up a few cavities that needed work. Dr. Yim also took one look at my molars and said that I needed a bite guard to help with my tooth grinding. So, (unwisely) gritting my teeth, I waited for the worst monetarily and physically. Well, the worst was waiting for pain that never came. I confess to having something like a freak out during the work on the cavities... precisely because it didn't hurt. At most I felt a small pinch from the anesthetic. The anticipation was dreadful and I admit I wasn't a very cooperative patient. However, Dr. Yim was patient and sympathetic, saying that a lot of people are afraid of dental work. Really great chairside manner, never once losing his patience. I also suffered almost no pain over the next few days, a nice change from past experiences. Molding the bite guard was no big deal at all, but with it and the cavities, money was a bit of a concern. However, it turned out that prices are very reasonable, and the office is willing to work with patients and their insurance to ensure that they can get the care they need. Since the initial visits, I've been back a few times for routine appointments and minor issues, and have been continually impressed. The office is always happy to work with patients to find an appointment time suitable for them. As mentioned, there are late night and Saturday hours, but Dr. Yim seems pretty flexible in cases of emergency. They also will call you a day or so in advance to remind you of appointments. The typical check up begins with the hygienist taking x-rays, apologizing repeatedly for causing any discomfort (which is usually very minor, if there is any at all). From there, Dr. Yim looks around a bit, checking for cavities and problems with the dental hook. This was always the worst part of previous dental appointments, the part that always left me unable to eat anything but soft food for a night. However, though I still do tense up in anticipation, I have yet for it to actually hurt at TLC. The doctor is very careful with the tool, and mostly uses it to check for cavities, not for cleaning or scraping. He instead uses a sonic brush to clean the teeth...and may I say the device does a great job? Due to the glue used in one of my sets of braces, my teeth have been left very porous. This combined with my addiction to tea and coffee leaves them rather yellow, but they always look nice following my cleaning. That is pretty much it, unless there is a problem. No pain, no discomfort...and the wallet doesn't hurt too bad either. Since starting at TLC, I've not had any major problems - no cavities, no cracked teeth, no pain. I also am gradually overcoming my hatred and terror of all things dental. TLC was recommended to me by patients, and so I now recommend it to you. Going to the dentist is never fun, but it doesn't have to be torturous either
