I had a really upsetting experience with another Dentist yesterday. The doctor wanted to remove all of my 88-year-old mom's teeth and give her dentures over a "five-month" period and to be honest I don't know that my mother will be around that much longer. It just felt so wrong when all she needed was her bridge put back in after it falling out a few days ago. But today was a complete turnaround. We had an incredible experience with Dr. Roger Thai in the Moorpark/Westlake area. He stayed after hours just to help us, gently fixed my mom's teeth, and even put her bridge back in--with barely any charge. This man is a class act. He truly cares about people, not just profits. If you're looking for a dentist who leads with compassion and integrity, I can't recommend Dr. Thai enough. He deserves your business. read more

Got a call less than 24 hours to get two teeth fixed and they added on a cleaning I never asked for or agreed to receive. Scam artist. Watch out! Someone from their staff even messaged me here, pretending to be a patient when it was really a member of his staff fishing for information. Shortly after I reported the person, another patient with the same experience had their one star review deleted from Yelp. Please be careful. First time with this highly recommended dentist. Such a nice guy. Funny, friendly, knowledgeable. Went there for a cleaning - Heidi, the hygienist, was amazing and welcoming. Very thorough. Also knocked out a few X-Rays to bring me up to date. She's been there 12 years, so it crushed me to learn this was her last week. Hubby had a transfer out of State. But I have confidence that Dr. Thai will find someone well-qualified. Dr. Thai came in afterwards to perform a checkup. Caught a couple things that could've been done differently by my previous dentist, but he didn't draw attention to them. I gleaned them from slight comments he made to Heidi. We also spoke about some concerns and questions I had regarding various treatments. Never once felt rushed. The building is only slightly tricky to find. There's a sign in the parking lot that directs you, yet his building number was oddly omitted. He does have his name on the window and door, so looking in that direction will make it a no-brainer. After my first visit for a cleaning today I knew I had to write a review. I have the highest of anxiety when it comes to dentist. Just walking in the office it immediately starts. It is like an out of body experience, nothing I can do to relax. In the past my entire time in the chair I would be shaking my legs, digging my nails into my arms until I bleed, kicking my legs. I could not stop until I left. Once my visit was over, I had to immediately walk out the door. No talking to anyone, no making another appointment heck even if the Dr. or assistant was long wind talking, I would say sorry got to go. I was just so needing to calm down. It hurts the body, muscle pain, headaches etc. just from the anxiety or panic attacks. I only say all the above because for the first time ever, I had a cleaning and even though I was still nervous nothing compared to the way I have been in the past. Lexi made a real effort to do everything to relax me and she did a great job. I never in my life thought I would say this but it was a real enjoyable experience. They really care and listen to you. I meet with the Dentist at the end of my appointment, and he was amazing. You couldn't ask for someone more patient, calm and just friendly. In the short time with him I really felt that he cared and was not one of those dentists that give you a laundry list of things you need done. Actually, when I mentioned what the past dentist said he didn't agree. I felt so comfortable and for me that is worth everything. I have had some of the worst experiences with dentist and never could trust one of them. This dentist I feel I can trust, and I actually made my next cleaning and another appointment for a filling all before I left his office. I can't say enough about my wonderful experience. I highly recommend him and if you are anything like me with high anxiety please try them. Start with just a cleaning Lexi will take good care of you. She is very gentle. Also to mention any procedure I have done in the past even just a filled I have had to have nitrous just to try to help me get through it. That is a lot of extra money. I came to California from New York to stay at a recovery retreat (see my review of Oro House Malibu). Before I came here I saw all of my doctors as well as a dentist. I was told that I might need work done on some fillings. Oro House recommended Dr. Thai who is the best dentist I have ever seen, and I am older. I moved to the area 4 years ago and needed a dentist and Hygienist, preferably in the same office. After a couple unsatisfactory experiences with other dental offices, I got the referral to Dr Roger Thai's office. I couldn't be more happy and fortunate that I found Dr Thai. After almost 3 years of excellent hygienist's care, I now needed Dr Thai's dental care. It was time to replace a 25 year old veneer. It wasn't necessary but over time, I could see the changes. I was concerned that I would be opening up a can of worms by replacing the existing one. There was nothing wrong with it, it just had became obvious it wasn't as it looked 25 years ago. Dr Thai reaffirmed that not only would a replacement look better and more natural, but he put my mind at ease that this was a procedure he was very skilled at and I would be very happy with the results. He couldn't have been more correct. His attention to detail and with his warm, friendly demeanor and great sense of humor, combined with his amazing skill level, produced a fantastic new front tooth veneer that perfectly blends in with the rest of my mouth. In fact, when I thought the result was perfect with the first replacement, he said he wanted to make it better. And after another quick bit of lab work, he kept his word. So glad I found Dr Thai. I started just going for cleanings with him. Then had him do a couple fillings. He was by far the best/least painful fillings I've ever had. I was then interested in getting some composite worn done to even out the length of my front teeth. He was easily able to understand what I wanted and crest some options for me. He also explained why the length of my teeth had changed (grinding). The composite work he done was absolutely amazing and I couldn't be happier. After three dentists butchered my teeth so bad I needed crowns on every single upper tooth, my San Francisco periodontist told me Dr. Thai was the best from the best and if anybody could fix my teeth, it would be him. Having very little free time, normally, I would not see a dentist who is further than a ten-minute drive, but I have been flying to see Dr. Thai from San Francisco to Los Angeles since last November. And even if I moved to the East Coast, I would still be flying to see Dr. Thai because he is the most amazing dentist ever. Dr. Thai is so meticulous about everything, my smile now looks like a work of art. I get compliments on it every day. Furthermore, the whole procedure with him is a breeze. Dr. Thai is the best dentist there is, I've always been terrified of going to the dentist and for the reason they basically want you in and out with the feeling of concern and being in pain. Dr. Thia gave me a full detail on what needed to get done first an fix it, he fixed my chipped tooth in the front . Going forward he made me feel comfortable and made me feel better about my self by fixing my teeth so I can smile with confidence!
