A number came out and gave absurdly high estimates, telling me things like, "the glass will likely break when we move it," or "It's old glass so it's likely gonna break." Huh? On top of that, the other companies refused to take ANY responsibility if they broke the glass while moving it. Brightside came out, gave me the best estimate of the bunch by far, confidently told me they WOULD NOT break the glass, worked out an arrangement with me if it did, did the job the next day, (others were a week or two out) and NAILED IT. Trust me, this was NOT an easy piece of glass to move, and these guys did the job professionally, with smiles on their faces. Five stars isn't enough. I cannot recommend them more highly. After putting down a deposit, I was immediately provided an installation date and 4-hour window. On that day, we received a text and email letting us know the name of the technician and that they were on their way. We ended up noticing a minor ding and paint issue on the door and our technician, Donnie, was incredibly understanding and immediately called in the issue and scheduled us another installation for two weeks later. Our second installer, Ross, was fantastic- he arrived early on a very hot day, had us inspect the new door first, and finished the job in a little over an hour. They came out and painted it with a paint that did not match and wondered why I was not happy. They just say that is the way they do touch ups and I should be happy. If I were to do it again I would not go with Den Defenders because the sales guy said it would be custom and that is not what I experienced. The trim at the bottom you can see where it was cut and not painted and the threshold piece at the bottom that was $200 extra was cut poorly and not painted.
