Gilberto showed up on very short notice (awesome!) and agreed to come back 2 days later at 10am to knock it out (more awesome!). The appointed day and time rolled around - no Gilberto, no call. We had an appointment to get to, so we reached out and he eventually messaged back that he was stuck at the paint store getting the paint. We checked in several times as it was getting later and later, and he finally came over at noon. When I asked him what paint he was using, he showed me an already opened can of paint - and admitted he was 2 hours late to our job because he was getting paint for another job! We had explained we were looking for someone who could paint the entirety of the house exterior, that we have multiple paint jobs in the pipeline, and wanted to use a neighborhood company. It did feel like he initially misrepresented why he was late but we accepted it as him being short-handed and told him we would be happy to use him again if the job was good and he just let us know next time. He did the job and just left - never let us know he was done so we could take a look and pay him in person. That night he texted asking us to send his money - he charged us $400. The actual paint work he did was 4/5* (he missed a few spots) but the communication overall was terrible. Doing a pro job on something so fast and easy would have netted Bizarro loyal customers who would give them months of work, but sadly we won't use this company again.

There I was with a son that was coming home for winter break, and there wasn't a door for his bedroom. I called NUMEROUS handymen in the morning, and I received very high prices since I wanted same day service. I called Wilfredo asking how soon he would be able to install an interior door, and he stated he would be able to do it the following day. He gave me a price for the following day, and I then asked if he would be able to do it today. He squeezed me into his schedule, and installed it in the evening! He did NOT charge me extra for same day service. I am thankful that Wilfredo was nice enough to work in the evening just so that I would have the door installed before my son arrives. In fact, when he arrived I asked him if he could do a couple other things, and he went to home depot just to get those additional items. They wore those booties on their shoes so that they wouldn't trail in dirt from outdoors. They covered their working area. They also vacuumed afterwards! The workmanship was AWESOME! I've asked Wilfredo to fit me into his schedule so that he could give me an estimate for a floor in my attic. By the time he left my house, it was too dark for him to take measurements of my attic.
