I was looking for a secondhand baby grand piano on a limited budget and needed expert advice before…read moremaking a purchase. I reached out for a consultation, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Laura, the piano technician, is a true perfectionist. She examined every detail of the piano, pointed out a small crack near the lowest key, explained the potential impact, and advised me on a fair price. Her insights were invaluable. I appreciated how she was understanding and patient. She emphasized that I, as the owner, should love the sound of the piano. Also, as it was quite a big purchase for me, I couldn't make a decision. She patiently advised me that either way was fine. This interaction with her made me love my piano more after I purchased. After I bought it (negotiating the price based on her recommendation), I had her tune it about a month after the move to allow the piano to settle. The piano hadn't been tuned in over five years, so many keys were flat, and some were even sticking. She meticulously went through each key, ensuring everything was perfectly adjusted. I've had pianos tuned before, but this was by far the most thorough tuning I've ever seen. She is timely, professional, kind, and deeply knowledgeable. I'm incredibly grateful for her work and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for piano consultation or tuning!

I'd like to give my wholehearted endorsement to Lotof and the staff at Michelle's Pianos. A few…read moreweeks ago, I realized my baby grand was having significant issues and needed to be rehabilitated. I called around to several places, and Lotof was the only person who took the time to talk to me. We discussed what was happening, and he offered to pick up the piano the next week when they were in Bend delivering pianos to another place. Before they took my piano, I went to Portland to meet Lotof and check out their rehabilitation work. Lotof took the time to show me around the studio, where I played many good (and not so good) pianos. He took the time to answer my questions, and I felt confident placing my piano in their hands. After they assessed my piano, Lotof called me and was very honest about the situation. We discussed options, and he was able to work with my fiscal situation. After much deliberation (and a lot of options) I decided my best option was to trade in my baby grand on a new upright that had better action, better tone quality, and was something that would support me and my family for years to come. Lotof took the time to listen to my personal situation, and appreciate my background when making recommendations. I felt like he cared about me as a person and wanted to do what he could to support me and my family. He's a musician, and that shows in how he fits the piano to the person. Thank you Lotof and the caring technicians, movers and staff at Michelle's. I've never bought a piano before, but if you're a musician, it's a very intimate purchase. Thanks for taking the time to help me reach the right decision. Thumbs WAY up!

Why most people utilize regular household movers to move their pianos is a mystery to me? I was so…read moreimpressed with the professionalism and knowledge of our piano movers. They took great care to carefully breakdown, skillfully wrap and protect our grand piano. They efficiently loaded and secured it in the truck. What an amazing experience! There were several concerns not written in this review to limit its size…read more We had EZ Move pack and load a container for a move from Oregon to Hawaii. The estimation process was good, and we felt comfortable after reading five star reviews and with the costs. We were told they always bid high to avoid having to ask for more, but it would probably be less. We hired a 40-foot ocean container which was parked at the mover's location. They would load a box truck and transport our items from our house and pack them into the container. On the first day of the packing, we noticed a few things we thought were not normal. Only medium size boxes, no dish packs or wardrobe boxes. The packers roamed around from room to room not packing a whole room at a time. We asked and were advised it was to prevent heavy boxes. After the first load to the container we asked if all our items would fit and were assured there is plenty of room. We asked this same question with each truck load and were assured each time that it was all going into the container. Come the final day of loading we were informed there was not enough room and we needed to prioritize what we wanted to be left out. Of course, we were shocked but moved the items to be left behind into our garage and forged ahead. We would need to arrange a separate shipment. After they had loaded what they could, and it came time to pay we were handed a handwritten bill that was half again what the estimate was not less. We asked why since they had not even finished the entire house and were told there was more items than they thought. We asked how. Hadn't they walked through the house and looked everywhere when estimating. We felt we had no choice but to pay as the container was on their property and we were concerned if we said no they would not let it leave until we paid. Yes, this sounds paranoid, but this is where our confidence was after four days with the company. We hired a professional moving company on the other end to unload the container. As they were unloading, they and we were shocked to find a lot of items loaded into the container loosely several broken or dented. The unpackers asked if we had loaded the container ourselves as it was so poorly loaded and said if the container had been professionally packed, we would have had at least ten foot of room in the container. This would have held what we left behind and saved us thousands $$ for the second shipment. As we emptied boxes, we found most things placed in boxes not wrapped or padded also with some items broken or damaged. Boxes labeled by room were placed in the new corresponding rooms but are loaded with stuff from all over the house making unpacking a challenge. And try finding something you need. Forget about it. We still have not found our forks and spoons so we bought new ones. We called EZ Move to advise them about the loose packing and damage. They said send pictures because this never happens with them but never offered to compensate or in any way make it right. Our advice if you decide to use this company is don't be trusting, don't count on professionalism, be ready for curveballs, make sure you have a backup plan, prepared to pay a lot more than the estimate.

Despite the fact that they had worked until the wee hours of the morning prior on a particularly demanding job, they showed up joyfully and professionally and promptly on Saturday morning, the 31st. All of my items that required wrapping and padding received such attention to detail and not one thing was damaged, not even slightly! They were organized, communicated with each other, maintained a sense of humor and finished the job in 3 hours. I have learned through multiple moves to not be drawn in by the cheapest price. I did my homework and knew I would receive the best value for money hiring EZ. While I have no plans to move again, once was enough, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and if I could give them more than five stars I definitely would. Hire this crew! You won't be disappointed.
