I've since been taking lessons with Flint Nelson who has been awesome. From 4 lessons I just played the best few rounds of golf I've had in the last year! Flint played golf in college and knows exactly how to teach others by giving information but not too much - just enough to digest and then let's you repeat and work on it until you're feeling good before moving on. The technology itself is awesome. I think the view from the front / back is key to understanding how to improve your golf swing. At Westlake they have tons of Parking and 3-4 bays with simulators in them for you to come practice in and use whenever you need to tweak your swing or just to practice from lessons etc. have taken my whole family since I started and we all love it so much - can't recommend this place enough!

The younger guy fitting me had no idea what he was doing. He didn't ask anything about my golf game other than my handicap. He didn't consider swing speed at all nor did he look at loft, lie, or gapping. There was no consideration of shaft also, it's like he grabbed the first one he saw off the wall. I'm a 20 year old guy with 92ish mph club head speed for a 7 iron. I shouldn't be hitting 95g Regular stiffness shafts, which is what he gave me to hit and told me to get. He had no insight into each club or my swing. Additionally, he was pushing me to purchase lessons on top of the fitting. It felt like I was at a car dealership. A 1 hour fitting totaled $125 which is outrageous for the lack of knowledge and result. Don't make the same mistake I did.

The land, lake, and homes surrounding the course are so majestic. Everything about ACC is classic golf ambiance, clean, and well designed. It's everything you want in a luxury country club. And on top of the beautiful establishment, the tournament was well put together and fun for any person willing to come out and enjoy the outdoors. I will be back for sure! Great work!

That really personalizes the experience. He is patient, kind and even thinks about your swing after the lesson. He really enjoys it. After my lessons, he would email me a summary and homework! That made a huge difference. I often go back to those emails to refresh. With Garry's help and practice (lots of practice), I have dropped 10 strokes off my game and am now taking my friends money. I recommend Garry to all of my friends who are low handicappers or just starting out. Wish I had met him when I started, we would not have so many bad habits to work on.

I'm not a big hitter but the course played pretty short for me. Paired with an older gentleman who knew the course and he was pretty awesome while I stunk it up pretty good. I felt I should be carrying his bag for him. For me, the course was a bit tight in spots. I found it all too easy to hit into the trees and junk by my ball rolling out or just hitting some 'loose' shots. The greens looked slow and fluffy, but they rolled fast with breaks I had a hard time seeing. I think I did set a record by finishing in less than 4 hours out here. In general, the course was in good shape with some repairs on-going. I had a fun time out there spent with good company. I'd slot this a bit behind Mo Willy/Clay/Kizer.
