Roland worked on my Chapter 7 bankruptcy case for approximately four months. When I first met Roland, I knew very little about the process of declaring bankruptcy, as this was my time doing so. However, during our visit he was extremely professional and answered everything question I had to ask. Additionally, while other attorneys expected me to pay all the fees at once, Roland, was very understanding in allowing me to make two payments, which at that time was very helpful. While working on my petition I forgot to mention that my mother had me as a beneficiary in one of her bank accounts, which eventually led to her having her funds frozen. I became beyond anxious and overwhelmed as I felt I had put my mother's money at risk. Nonetheless, Roland reassured me that everything was going to be fine as I was entitled to keeping a certain amount of money without it becoming property of the bankruptcy estate. During my court appearance, Roland was there on time and guided me through the entire meeting with the trustee. The trustee asked me to verify all the information on my petition and sure enough, she then told me that my mother's funds would be released within the next two business days. I was so relieved and eventually my case was discharged about a month after. I would definitely recommend Roland to everyone who is looking for a well-educated, prepared and professional attorney. He seems like a nice guy but come to find out he did an incomplete job on our BK 6 years after. We ended up paying and negociating with old creditors to remove judgements from our records. What a waist of our money. Very very unhappy and very upset about that. Also, he advised us that he would have to charge us 1800$ to reopen and file a discharge for those creditors in order to remove judgements. Very very unhappy about that. All and all I spent 3500$ to do our BK and another 7k to remove and negotiate two judgements. Extremely unhappy. read more
