As a client, I have a reasonable expectation of timely communication, transparency, and diligence none of which have been provided. This matter has now spanned several years, and being repeatedly ignored has caused unnecessary stress and concern about whether my case is being properly handled. An attorney has an ethical obligation to keep clients informed and to act with reasonable promptness. In my experience, those obligations were not met. I strongly advise anyone considering this firm to get all communication expectations in writing and to keep detailed records. If communication and representation standards are not upheld, remember that filing a complaint with the State Bar is an available and appropriate course of action. I will be filing a bar complaint myself.

I was hesitant to see a bankruptcy attorney for several years, hoping my financial problems would just go away on their own. But after receiving a court summons from an old creditor, I finally decided to consider bankruptcy as an option. I picked Sevan Gorginian based on location and stellar reviews. First impression was great ... he answered my consultation request promptly and even agreed to meet with me on a weekend, outside of traditional business hours. He's very knowledgeable and up front about what he can and cannot do under the law, and the fees are clear and very fair. And most importantly, he knows how to calm your fears, guilt and apprehension over the entire process. On the actual court date, several other people called up to the bench before me were represented by attorneys that had submitted incomplete paperwork and those people were given new court dates to return. Not in my case, Mr. Gorginian had everything in order and my case sailed through the system without a hitch. Sevan and his team helped me tremendously from the initial call to the end of the bankrupty. Sevan answered all my questions on the phone and in person and took all the stress and anxiety out of filing bk. He would call me back within minutes if I had a question. He explained the process and some things which could come up during the meeting with the judge so I was prepared to answer anything they threw at me. I own a small business and was able to keep it even with some outstanding loans for the business. He explained the difference between the corporation and my personal filing of chapter 7 which was a huge relief. I can't tell you how wonderful Sevan and his team were. However, I selected Sevan because he felt like a true advocate (vs. merely an intermediary) and his fee was highly competitive. Sevan knows the law and his customer service skills are excellent. From the first moment you come through the doors, you are met with professionalism, kindness, and an amazing staff (particularly, Alejandra, who is the heart and soul of the office.) Very, very nice and so on top of things, she is a pleasure to work with, does her research, follows through, and is an all around wonderful representative of their firm. Matt is amazing and his knowledge goes above and beyond most attorney's I've had to deal with in my life (and I'm not young). They are always available for questions, or if you just need a pat on the back, letting you know that things will be alright! My case was a bit difficult and, I'm surprised that they even wanted to talk to me...Lol! I had so many questions and so many needs but, that being said, they held my hand through the entire process, making a difficult situation, a whole lot easier, as well as pleasant. Ali, who answers the phones, is a wealth of knowledge and I just can't say a negative word about the whole RHM firm.
