I've been curious about this place and finally gave it a try.. extremely underwhelming. I got the Street Corn which was extremely bland and over cooked. The highly anticipated taquitos were very mid in flavor and soaked with the toppings, resulting in soggy taquitos. The only redeeming quality is their "roll em up" sauce which I think is the spicy sauce that was on the taquitos. Definitely have to go back. I think they forgot to add guacamole to my OG order. The rice is heavily seasoned with garlic but it was flavorful outside of that. Their corn was corn nothing to over the top. I didn't look at their complete menu since I wanted to try the tacos. I prefer their corn taquitos over their flour but wish the dish had more flavor. Maybe different salsas could help. But for a chain they definitely hit the basics. The place was chill and quiet when I went in. It was not at full capacity so order was done quickly. read more

Yelp Take out order experience. I ordered online through YELP. I've heard great things about this place from local community members and since I was in the area I decided to order it for lunch. I ordered the Street Corn In a cup (OG style) and a 2 pack of the chicken taquitos with the toppings on the side. I went in and showed the lady in the front counter my order receipt and she proceeded to walk me to the side where the food was already ready for me. She was very kind. Inside you hear music playing and it was super clean as if it just opened. You can see the cooks cooking everything fresh in the back and it smelled great as you walk in. I opened up my bag and got ready to eat! The corn in a cup was oh so delicious! Very buttery and tasty, the corn was soft and warm and the cheese was fresh! I wish I would have gotten a bigger cup or even tried the hot Cheeto one! (Next time !) Then I proceeded to the taquitos and even without the toppings, it was finger licking good. I dipped my taco in the sauces and WOW! Everything was delicious! I wish they would have had names on the sauce to see what I'm dipping it in but I know for sure the green one and the light orange ones were my favorite, the darker orange one was a bit too spicy for me at the time and I had a bad cough and sore throat so that did not help it but it was worth it! It's been a long time came to get those taquitos. The place is usually pretty good but it has been a few months the customer services has changed dramatically. I was wondering why the place is empty like nobody's here and it's dinner time. I don't know what happened here honestly not what I'm used to the food was OK. I also asked for tacos. It's something new they have they don't do that here. Nobody speaks English, which is OK, but not for me when I can't understand Spanish I won't be back that's for sure. I placed a party pack order last night for 9/6 today at 1:45 pm. I was running late and wanted to call to see if I could push the order for a later time. Mind you I called about an hour and a half earlier. I called 24 times. No answer. I get there around 2:20 to pick up my order and it's just sitting out. Not even in a warmer or cooler for the cheese and sour cream. I asked if it's been there the whole time and she said "yes, it's been there for a while." All she said was touch it, it's still warm. Sure, they kind of took the stack o' taquitos smothered in guac piled into a styrofoam container you've been able to get for ages at mom & pop spots in LA named various permutations of "Alberto's" and gentrified it into a franchise concept...but this is a VERY good version of it! I like the choice between corn and flour tortillas--I can't really call it on which is better. You just need to try out each type in both tortillas. Also, the churro donut is genius. This is a TRUE churro donut, unlike what Dunkin' Donuts has come up with. The sides are great as well. A pretty simple menu, really cheap, and ultra fresh. read more

You gotta try this place! We saw the restaurant as we came into town for the weekend. We told each other that we would do a pitstop there on our way out. So glad we did! The taquitos were incredibly delicious. We did a mix of ground beef, chicken, and shredded beef - corn and flour. We liked the flour ground beef the most. The elote was awesome. We ordered the version with hot Cheetos. We also ordered the churro donuts. My wife enjoyed them. I thought they were a bit cakey and lost the taste working through the dough. I'm more of a salt and savory kind of palette anyways. My favorite part was the employee dressing the taquitos. Slow and steady. I watched her. She took here time and cared for each serving. It was so pretty. It was like eating art. It was nice to see someone tending so carefully to otherwise fast-casual food. It was refreshing. All-told, we were thrilled. We WISH they had one of these near us in San Diego/Vista, California. I tried this place for the first time about 3 weeks ago and since then I've been back 4 times already. I finally downloaded the app to start earning points and special promos. The Taquitos are fried to order and the "lit" sauce, sour cream and guac sauce makes it that much better. I've only gotten the flour tortilla as I'm not a big fan of corn for Taquitos. The beans are also really good. If you're getting it smothered, it's better if you dine it or eat it asap. Otherwise you can get the sauces on the side. This is one of my favorite spots to eat at recently. We love The taquitos fully loaded with lit sauce. Manny and Salvador have helped us out a few times now and are courteous and professional. Underrated place fs, the loaded fires were so good. They stand out because the fries are crunchy, even with all of the toppings they're so crunchy and I love that. The taquitos were good, crunchy too. The rice does have that garlic/lemon flavor but it's not bad. They aren't stingy with the toppings, there was enough to coat all of the food. They're also generous with the gauc, a lot of places usually skimp on the gauc bc it's expensive. So I got an extra one but I didn't end up even touching it bc there was a good amount. This will allow for you to try the different ones they have, I personally like the potatoes and cheese ones. When I went they stated they no longer had Mexican rice at this location, that was disappointing because I have to have Mex rice w/my Taquitos. I don't like guacamole, sour cream or all those sauces they have & I ask for them to substitute all that for their salsa, they insist on charging for it, which is ridiculous to me. My go to is usually the shredded beef, chicken and cheese! You also have the option of corn or flour tortilla, which is nice. I feel as though the flour tortilla is more like a flauta than a taquito but to each their own! The flour tortilla taquitos are pretty big and fill you up quickly too so I usually opt for corn. This is my recent food obsession. I've always adored taquitos and flautas, but as I got older, they kinda stuck to my waist line and I tended to avoid them. However, when a business opens up and makes taquitos/flautas their star dish, how can I avoid them? As I drive by, I see their shop, I see their sign, and I think I even hear a voice calling out to me. Of course, I have to answer the call or be distracted and slightly maladjusted for the rest of my life. When you walk in, you will get a welcome shout out from the counter. Don't be surprised, don't look behind you, the staff here are genuinely glad to see you. And they will happily answer questions, guide you through important menu decisions, and help you place your order. You have a choice of flour or corn tortillas and a choice of filling (chicken, beef, potato, or cheese). Order 3, 5, or 12. Regular or lit. Sides are sold ala cart, and consist of rice, beans, and Mexican style street corn on the cob or by the cup. On my first visit, I was afraid that 3 taquitos would not be enough so the Miss Piggy in me ordered 5 (2 chicken, 2 beef, and 1 potato). Lit style which means they are topped with cheese, sour cream, guacamole and hot/lit sauce. I also ordered a side of rice. The rice was nice and fluffy and complimented the taquitos well. An order of 5 taquitos would have been sufficient if I didn't order a side, but since I did, I was struggling a bit. But they were sooo good! All the lit style toppings were delicious, and the spice definitely made my nose run. Because they are fried up fresh, I didn't want to take them home as leftovers. I just had to eat them on site in all their fresh, hot, crispy goodness. I managed to power through and ate them all, but I had to unbutton my pants. Having learned my lesson, on my second visit, I ordered just 3 taquitos and a cup of Mexican Street Corn, OG style (butter, mayo, and cojita cheese). This was the perfect amount of food, and I didn't have to unbutton my pants after lunch. The taquitos were just as delicious as they were the first time. The cup of Mexican Street corn OG style was just ok. Kind of bland for my taste since I like spicy. I should have ordered the lit one that had tajin and flaming hot Cheeto dust, but I thought it would be too much heat/spice. So far, this place is my new favorite. The only suggestion I have is to add a little lettuce/tomato on the side of the taquitos or offer a side salad on the menu to add a bit of freshness and cut through the heaviness of the main attraction. It also helps some of us Miss Piggys to justify the indulgence. And for dessert, they also have a a churro donut on the menu. That will be my next conquest on my next visit! read more
