Entered the restaurant with my father and my service animal between 345 and 4 pm hungry and wanting to please my mother because she wanted to eat here. Lady at the front greeted us with a how can I help you! As in what are you doing here! I responded with a puzzling look we are here to eat" her reply was and the dog! She is a service animal... with a nasty attitude pointed to the table near the front towards the kitchen. I would never mind the inquiry regarding my service animal but the way she asked was condescending, disrespectful and unprofessional. She noticed my discomfort and she didn't care. Instead she started spreading the word of my service animal and employees and or family members of her kept gossiping about it. My father was not sure what to think or say. When my mother arrived she came to take the order. I asked what was on the nachos. The normal stuff beans and at the end she said meat or chicken Then I inquired about the more expensive nachos what was the difference between them since more expensive, she said the meat. One has meat and the other does not. I was confused and she said it as if I knew the menu. If you tell me all the ingredients for the first nachos plus meat, I like to know the difference for the other one. Instead I asked to take my parents order and I was going to think a bit more. Rudely she left by now an older man was at the front and started gossiping with him and he kept looking my way! As a paying customer you expect more courtesy and professionalism from the employees and possibly the owner. Before I would have said something because I was) and ruin my parents meal I decided to exit with my service animal. Even as I was exiting I could see them still talking crap.. Other customers walked in and were greeted with a smile. We got a what do you want (for better words) I will never ever step into this place. First time and last. I didn't Hey lady school your self on how well protected my service animal is and all service animals are. Stop the ignorance. read more

They were very friendly and sat us right away. They brought out our food and drinks fairly quickly. They checked on us a lot, great service. I ordered the camarones a la diabla and was extremely disappointed. The sauce honestly tasted like ketchup mixed with hot sauce and had very little flavor. For a dish that costs around $20, it definitely wasn't worth it. On top of that, the service was very slow. We waited about an hour just to receive our food. When we first arrived, we were also left standing at the entrance for about 7-10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us or seated us. There was no greeting or welcome, which didn't make a great first impression. I usually don't ask for refunds, but this experience was disappointing enough that I honestly considered it. Ive been going to this restaurant for over a decade, but hadnt gone recently. The food is great but the service ruins it. We had two waitresses. One hardly spoke English so it was hard to get help. The second older waitress became unfriendly once we started asking for additional salsa. I have no problem if you tell me there's a fee, but it isn't on the menu and to give us slower service and grimace at us because we requested more? Each person in my party found a hidden "extra salsa" fee that was never communicated to us. We asked jus twice the cups are small. We ordered meals for 10, a few drinks, and some side. Hubs likes to buy six at a time to freeze at home, so he can have one whenever he feels like it. Meanwhile, I love their taco salad. I read online this was one of the best Mexican restaurants in the IE, on Reddit, and my husband and I decided to give it a try. First I'll start with the service, once we walked in no one greets you or notices that you are standing there, and then once they do they make you write your name down on a piece of paper. The wait wasn't too long, and I will say the chips and salsa aren't bad. However, the food was not flavorful at all. There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants that have the same pricing that are better, and in my personal opinion if you are wanting a nice meal, I would not go here. Nothing personal against any of the staff members I'm sure they are super great, but the restaurant and food itself is not worthwhile. Felt super disappointed with the food! My husband and I come about once a month for lunch . This place is a big hit among the locals and often is packed during lunch hour so be aware of that if you're in a hurry . The food is decent - we really enjoy their take on chips and salsa and it's spicy (for us anyways)! A couple of things that we have noticed that could use improvement is friendliness from the staff . There is never any smiling at this restaurant and they don't communicate well to their patrons - if you're busy that is more than fine but let us know there is a wait or that you'll be with us shortly. Walking past customers multiple times and not acknowledging them isn't the way to go about things (and yes this has happened almost every time we've come here). The dining room was beautiful and I love the theme they have. I ordered the taco, tamale, and enchilada combo and it was pretty good. The chicken was dry and chunky, but the sauce helps masks it. The enchilada was flavorful and nice balance of spices. The meat was also a little dry and too chunky. The tamale was the best out of the three items on the plate. The rice and beans were a nice addition to the plate. The chips and salsa were delicious! The prices are very expensive considering the food is average. The servers were friendly and very hospitable. Found this place while visiting Loma Linda hospital, it's about 5 minutes away. I got there prime time lunch time because it was super busy which means it's a great spot. I ordered a torta de carnitas and I loved it, it had nice chunks of carnitas and it was a big size torta. I also order a burrito de asada which I love how nicely chopped the meat was and there was no fatty on it. Wish it had a better salsa to with it but still good. I've been coming here for years because it's a friend's favorite local place. The food is pretty good, once you actually get it. You really have to wear your patience pants, but still not be afraid to speak up when you dine here. As others have mentioned, they routinely ignore you when you're waiting to be seated, even if half the restaurant is empty. I usually have to ask if we can just take a seat and then they will silently point you to where they want you to go. You then get to wait a few minutes before someone will bring you a menu and take drink orders. Maybe 15 minutes later someone will take your food order, but you might have to flag someone down. I've actually heard the servers argue over who had to take different tables, so it's not unusual to have a server from over on the other side of the room being your server. It's weird and I've never seen anything like that. Once you manage to order, the food comes out pretty quick, but make sure you have what you need because they won't check on you afterward unless you get their attention. I like their standard fare; tacos, rellenos, enchiladas and I'm a big fan of their fish tacos which are usually pretty ample in fillings. So, overall, it's worth a try if you have the time and patience, but they really need someone to teach them how to make a customer feel welcome and stop looking so miserable about working there. read more

I wish I would have taken pictures before we devoured our food! They have made a comeback with their quality since Covid. Our food was so good! We got the tacos al carbon which came with 3 huge tacos made from homemade tortillas and beans and rice, a combination plate with fish taco and shredded beef enchilada, a combination plate with chile relleno, cheese enchilada and beans and rice as well as a tapatio burrito mea to go. Everything was amazing! Quality was great, service was fantastic and serving sizes were insane. Prices have gone up but nothing like other places and their serving sizes haven't gone down. Even the to go order had chips and salsa. Overall I missed this place since I moved and we will make the trip back over in the near future! Well, what can I say? This place was pretty good. It really is. It's kind of in a shopping center but I will tell you it was very good. I think I actually met the owner. She really takes pride in her business. The food was very good. actually you get quite a bit for what you pay for The only thing I didn't really like was nothing's refillable you have to pay for refills. I wasn't aware anybody did that anymore. That said yeah great food. I'll definitely be back. The place was very nice inside as well very clean. It's a good place to bring your family for sure the surrounding area seems safe and nice as well. It's a must try in my opinion. read more
