Nori steak taco & Nori shrimp taco, 2 wonton chicken teriyaki tacos
    Rhonda M.

I visited this place for the first time for Cincinnati Taco Week. I must admit I was a little squeamish about trying Asian sushi tacos, even if they were only $2. I'm so glad I did because the 3 different ones I tried were all delicious! The wonton chicken tacos were small & you got 2 on a plate. Deep fried wonton shells filled with teriyaki chicken, Asian slaw, spicy mayo & green onions - divine. I also ordered 2 Nori tacos which are deep fried seaweed shells with sticky rice & vegetables - one with shrimp & one with steak. The shrimp taco was my favorite of the three but they were all wonderful. I can hardly wait to return to try their burritos!

Rolled on in, I did. Visited Roll On In for lunch after working up an appetite strawberry pick'n in the area. I had heard great things about the items that were served at the Taste of Cincinnati so I gave it a try. I was acknowledged with a warm welcome when entering even with other customers placing orders. I was glad to see a large display menu while waiting in line. Decided on ordering the Spider burrito with soft shell crab. The items that are listed as deep-fried tempura are cooked right when you order them. The menu & entrees allow for customizations in sauces, rice selection and wraps used (Seaweed/Soy). Fresh fusion taste but I do not recommend adding additional sauces before sampling the burrito first. They do offer one sauce for free. You'll get to watch the burrito being assembled at the counter and thus the ingredients being used. It was interesting seeing draft beer available at a sushi bar, though I opted for sake. Things I would like to see: Cashier age 21+, it messes with the flow of things to grab someone else to prepare your beverage Draft Beer pairing suggestions with specialty burritos sense its such a unique concept Tip: Growlers fills are available at this location

Half eaten Shaggy Dog sushi bowl with wasabi mayo on the side...YUM

First time eating here and it was absolutely DELICIOUS! The staff was very nice and helpful. We tried the Shaggy Dog specialty sushi bowl, pork dumplings, Dyno burrito and Sunday burrito . Highly recommend!

If you are in the mood to eat healthy but need to make it quick, this restaurant is perfect. Think of it as a chipotle with sushi. Even if you are not a sushi fan, you can get a bowl of rice plus protein. You're able to build your own bowl and add what vegetables you would like along with your protein and rice. If you are a sushi fan, you will love it! You can basically make a sushi burrito including your protein, rice and vegetables. The burrito is wrapped tight in seaweed and then cut in half. This facility is super new and is very clean! They have a digital soda machine where you can make your own drinks. When you walk in, the menu is digitally behind the vegetable bar. Located in the heart of Lebanon, this is the perfect place to enjoy a bite to eat after shopping in the historic district. They have plenty of seating inside, as well as a few tables out front. I will definitely be back!

    Neat concept and tasty flavors!

Great tasty flavors. Definitely an interesting concept that I hope takes off!! It's just like Chipotle except for sushi. Love this!!! I would recommend. Good selection of draft beer too.

Asked the worker where they get their fish from and she said it was farmed fish. Barf!!! Never going here again! Here is a link, just one, https://smartsourceseafood.com/blogs/news/3-tasty-ways-to-eat-salmon-raw, there are many out there. Farmed fish is hazardous to human health. You can serve wild salmon raw with FDA recommended guidelines. All fish come wild caught. It's cheaper to buy farm fish. I have done some research. You should do your research on the health hazards of consuming farmed fish.

I love Roll On In! I've been here a few times and I usually get a bowl with rice. This time I switched it up and did a salad (kale/spinach) with seasoned tofu. I loved it! The salad is my new go-to. They have so many fresh topping to choose from (edamame salad, avocado, guacamole, corn, cucumbers, carrots, it goes on and on). I like that you pick your protein and then can do as many toppings/fillers as you want for a set price. The house dressing that came with the salad was also very good - a little tangy and a little sweet. I'm definitely getting this again!

My first sushi burrito: seaweed wrap, dynamite tuna, avocado, cucumber, cream cheese, yum-yum sauce, and tempura flakes

Needs some improvement but overall pretty good. Concept is very similar to Fusian except they don't cut the sushi roll into small pieces, or you can get it in a bowl or on a salad. My sushirito was very good! I would recommend getting your burrito in the seaweed wrapper - my husband got his in the soy wrapper and the soy wrapper stuck to the paper wrapper and then proceeded to fall apart from there and he had to finish eating with a fork. I like that the sauces/dips and wasabi and ginger are self-serve. And it seems a bit random, but they have nitro coffee on tap, I tried the hazelnut and it was smooth and creamy. The staff could have been friendlier - didn't see a single smile or get a "Hi!" or "How are you?" from any of them. The interior decor is lacking - the walls need some photos or art (I think extra-large zoomed-in photos of their burritos and ingredients would be a good start!). I drove 25 minutes to try this place and wouldn't make that drive again, but I'll definitely try the one in Clifton when it opens since that'll be only a 10 minute drive from me.

    's are everything.

My dad stopped here by chance and really loved it so he brought me here today! Let me tell you, I was blown away!! I wasn't quite sure what to expect because he explained it as a 'sushi burrito' restaurant. I couldn't have even imagined that concept before we watched as they brought this incredibly unique idea to life. I wish the menu had already built suggestions for the burritos and bowls and salads, however it is such high-quality ingredients that really any combination you create will amaze you. The guy who wrapped ours was quick and efficient. He was also really helpful in explaining the process of 'make your own'. It is also really nice because you can get up to as many ingredients you want for the same price and just have to pay extra if you want guac. Sounds good for either a lunch or dinner stop! I became a total believer! Can't wait until the next time I get to experience this delectable place.

Sushi Burrito w/ spicy salmon, veggies, corn salsa and spicy mayo

This place is getting a lot of buzz! The famed sushi burrito has finally made its way from the coastal cities to little ol' Cincinnati. My family drove out to Lebanon to try Roll On In, which is like a chipotle for sushi lovers. Similar to the Fusian restaurant concept, except here, your sushi roll is actually a burrito that you eat by hand. The ingredients you can choose from include normal sushi ingredients like spicy salmon and green onions, but also include Tex Mex stuff like chicken, corn salsa and guac. We tried ordering cups for water but were informed that the water at the soda station was broken so we had to buy bottled water. Hmm. I liked my sushi burrito but I felt like there was too much rice in it, and I was surprised to see that basic things like soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger are not even offered! The combination of Japanese and tex mex ingredients did not impress me all that much. And the concept of hand held sushi is not exactly new - the Japanese have been eating temaki hand rolls for a long time now, which are cone shaped and a little easier to eat without making a mess. But my sisters couldn't stop raving about their sushi burritos and how excited they were about this place being open so I guess the novelty of it in a place like Cincinnati deserves one more star. One suggestion I would make is to invest a little in the decor. The walls inside are completely bare which doesn't make the atmosphere very inviting. The furniture reminds me of chipotle's, but a little decoration on the walls would go a long way!

Panko salmon burrito, chips with sesame guacamole, and hazelnut nitro coffee.

I'm so glad this place is here! I've been fascinated by the concept of a sushi burrito since I read about it a few months back- enough so that my partner and I attempted to make our own. Let me just say, leave it to the professionals. We explained that it was out first time in, and the fella behind the counter explained how it all worked and what our options were. I ordered a burrito with Panko Salmon, edemame, Asian slaw, cream cheese, avocado, cucumber, and sweet soy sauce. My partner ordered the same with shrimp, and we got two nitro coffees, chips and guacamole. Our total was about $22, so not too bad at all. Everything was tasty and fresh, if a little messy for those last few bites. The decor in the restaurant is a little minimalistic, but while we were there they were working on a few improvements. Overall, worth the drive and super yummy.

    My amazeballs sushi burrito.

We were aiming for dim sum a couple doors down, but they were slammed and had no out of the way place to wait. So, we walked a few yards and went into Kawa. Tablets are used to order appetizers, drinks, etc. All delivered by a robot or a train on a track above the conveyor. The sushi itself, along with other items like dessert, rolls by constantly. The best part, pricing is clear. Everything on the belt is $3.45 per plate, subject to change, of course. The sushi was fresh and the portions were in line with the prices. If you've never had conveyor belt sushi or you just want to try something a little unique to the Cincinnati area, Kawa is the place. While this location is a little out of the way for us, Hyde Park is a quick drive and we will return.

Similar concept to a mongolian grill but WAY less organized with a nice addition of a small traditional(ish) buffet included. The bowl you start with is comically small, which I imagine is intentional to deter folks from wasting but also to provide time in between to limit how many times people actually go up to get the Hibachi style food. We would have prefered just getting their buffet style food as it tasted better and we didnt have to wait. Somehow, BOTH of our girls didnt get their Hibachi/mongolian style plates they made up and we had to ask for new bowls so they could make their bowls again. It was very confusing and the customer service was pretty bad in that regard. Everyone seemed to like the food but it was just ok. Not a place I would ever consider returning to or recommending to someone.
