I visited this place for the first time for Cincinnati Taco Week. I must admit I was a little squeamish about trying Asian sushi tacos, even if they were only $2. I'm so glad I did because the 3 different ones I tried were all delicious! The wonton chicken tacos were small & you got 2 on a plate. Deep fried wonton shells filled with teriyaki chicken, Asian slaw, spicy mayo & green onions - divine. I also ordered 2 Nori tacos which are deep fried seaweed shells with sticky rice & vegetables - one with shrimp & one with steak. If you love cross contamination, eat here! This is the second time I've been in and the same guy working there is using his hands to grab food with instead of using the utensils. Oh yeah, and the first time I was there he sneezed into his glove, proceeded to look to see if anyone saw it, then started helping the customer with the rest of their food. With the same glove on. Disgusting. Instead of changing gloves between customers he'll wipe his gloves on the little trash hole they use to toss out their gloves and waste clean up. I contacted the owner about it the first time and he said he'd give me a refund which never happened, and he also said he would address the issue, which also never happened. It's a shame too because during 2020 they had some excellent workers and the food was great. Now I'm afraid to eat there because it's apparently too hard to stay clean. A long customer gone, and it's too bad because the owners don't understand how great repeat customers are to local businesses. Can't find good employees? Pay more and do some training for once. I had heard great things about the items that were served at the Taste of Cincinnati so I gave it a try. I was acknowledged with a warm welcome when entering even with other customers placing orders. I was glad to see a large display menu while waiting in line. Decided on ordering the Spider burrito with soft shell crab. The items that are listed as deep-fried tempura are cooked right when you order them. The menu & entrees allow for customizations in sauces, rice selection and wraps used (Seaweed/Soy). Fresh fusion taste but I do not recommend adding additional sauces before sampling the burrito first. They do offer one sauce for free. You'll get to watch the burrito being assembled at the counter and thus the ingredients being used. It was interesting seeing draft beer available at a sushi bar, though I opted for sake. I love Roll On In! I've been here a few times and I usually get a bowl with rice. This time I switched it up and did a salad (kale/spinach) with seasoned tofu. I loved it! The salad is my new go-to. They have so many fresh topping to choose from (edamame salad, avocado, guacamole, corn, cucumbers, carrots, it goes on and on). I like that you pick your protein and then can do as many toppings/fillers as you want for a set price. When I heard there was a sushi burrito place open in Lebanon, I got really excited. I was used to Buredo in D.C. and similar places in Santa Monica and L.A. I was let down. I read one review stating the people behind the counter just sort of stared as the guests, some first time and some returning, attempted to ask them questions. I experienced the same. As someone with a brain who has been to both Chipotle and Fusian, I had a general idea of what to do but was disappointed at the service and lack of professionalism. I ordered my burrito with spicy tuna, and told the person I like it extra spicy so if there was anything else he could add, please do so. Not only did he not seem to care, my burrito tasted very bland, even with the yumyum sauce. I added some Sriracha but then it seemed to be the only thing I tasted. Also, the way they wrap the burrito makes eating it extremely hard, especially to other sushi burrito restaurants I've been to in the past. I hope management will continue to improve their menu, flavoring and employee professionalism (and not have little boys running around in between tables and almost tripping customers before disappearing behind the counter to the back room). I hear that there will be more stores opening around the area soon, and this frightens me. All the kinks in this one Lebanon location need to be worked out before spreading the chaos to other cities. It's a great, fresh new idea that came from well run/operated restaurants on the coast where good seafood is actually present, and that's probably why it has so many good reviews. Just because people are itching for a new dining experience which in this case probably overshadows the negatives. I'll probably try it again in a few months to give it another shot, but would I ever drive out of my way to Lebanon again? Never. read more

Needs some improvement but overall pretty good. Concept is very similar to Fusian except they don't cut the sushi roll into small pieces, or you can get it in a bowl or on a salad. My sushirito was very good! I would recommend getting your burrito in the seaweed wrapper - my husband got his in the soy wrapper and the soy wrapper stuck to the paper wrapper and then proceeded to fall apart from there and he had to finish eating with a fork. I like that the sauces/dips and wasabi and ginger are self-serve. And it seems a bit random, but they have nitro coffee on tap, I tried the hazelnut and it was smooth and creamy. The staff could have been friendlier - didn't see a single smile or get a "Hi!" or "How are you?" from any of them. The interior decor is lacking - the walls need some photos or art (I think extra-large zoomed-in photos of their burritos and ingredients would be a good start!). I drove 25 minutes to try this place and wouldn't make that drive again, but I'll definitely try the one in Clifton when it opens since that'll be only a 10 minute drive from me. read more

Vanilla for me, hazelnut for my friend and had mixed experiences. The vanilla was good, but the hazelnut was terrible! I mean the worst thing I've ever tasted. My dad stopped here by chance and really loved it so he brought me here today! Let me tell you, I was blown away!! I wasn't quite sure what to expect because he explained it as a 'sushi burrito' restaurant. I couldn't have even imagined that concept before we watched as they brought this incredibly unique idea to life. I wish the menu had already built suggestions for the burritos and bowls and salads, however it is such high-quality ingredients that really any combination you create will amaze you. My family drove out to Lebanon to try Roll On In, which is like a chipotle for sushi lovers. Similar to the Fusian restaurant concept, except here, your sushi roll is actually a burrito that you eat by hand. The ingredients you can choose from include normal sushi ingredients like spicy salmon and green onions, but also include Tex Mex stuff like chicken, corn salsa and guac. We tried ordering cups for water but were informed that the water at the soda station was broken so we had to buy bottled water. Hmm. I liked my sushi burrito but I felt like there was too much rice in it, and I was surprised to see that basic things like soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger are not even offered! The combination of Japanese and tex mex ingredients did not impress me all that much. And the concept of hand held sushi is not exactly new - the Japanese have been eating temaki hand rolls for a long time now, which are cone shaped and a little easier to eat without making a mess. But my sisters couldn't stop raving about their sushi burritos and how excited they were about this place being open so I guess the novelty of it in a place like Cincinnati deserves one more star. One suggestion I would make is to invest a little in the decor. The walls inside are completely bare which doesn't make the atmosphere very inviting. My partner ordered the same with shrimp, and we got two nitro coffees, chips and guacamole. Our total was about $22, so not too bad at all. Everything was tasty and fresh, if a little messy for those last few bites. The decor in the restaurant is a little minimalistic, but while we were there they were working on a few improvements. Holy moly I don't have enough great things to say about this place. I was so pleased with my overall experience and the the food was PHENOMENAL! I am a huge fan of sushi and the fact that it is in the form of a burrito is right up my alley. Next to move down for a choice of protein, then down the line for some veggies, and lastly top it off with some sauces for a little extra punch of flavor. They also serve nitro coffee which is literally the most amazing. It is a nitrogen infused coffee and the flavor is smooth and fabulous. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Expect great service and a very clean facility. Staff was helpful and very accommodating to my kiddos (which as a mom is huge for me). I could opt for new fillings for the next several visits and still not run out of new combinations of meat, veggies, sauces and toppings. I am a big sushi fan first off. There's a big difference between a good and great sushi spot, and roll on in misses the mark in a few ways. Though not bad, I doubt it's anyone's favorite sushi who has tried enough. Roll on in is attempting to be the Sushi version of chipotle. They lose some of the finer elements of the sushi experience in favor of variety, portions, and speed. The portions are very large for a sushi place, which is actually a nice change, and gives the spot a decent bang for your buck. They have a wide variety of sauces and toppings to choose from. They do a wrap and bowl but I would only recommend the bowl, as the wrap throws of portions. The sushi meat is okay but not great. The spicy tuna is the only one I order. I'm not a fan of the fried meats here. I really have to be in the mood for a lot of sushi to stop by roll on in, and will go on occasion. read more

I truly want to love this place, and when it first opened I did! However, the past two years the service has declined tremendously and makes me want to spend my money elsewhere. Every time I go in, workers are hanging out in the back, and seem annoyed to help me (glad they have fun, but the customer should be taken care of first). Service is slow, food is always out (though it never seems busy), and my order is ALWAYS wrong somehow. Again, I want to love this place, because I know the food was so good in the past but today really threw me off. I ordered online and 3 of my toppings were missing, and nobody mentioned anything about them being out so they simply made a mistake. The wrong sauce was on my bowl, and they added other toppings I never asked for. It was similar enough to mine, that I don't think they gave me the wrong order, however it was also off enough that this was the last straw. I am not one to go public with a complaint, but there was no customer service number to even contact. I do think it would benefit the restaurant to do a cleaning of the employees or train them better in terms of customer service and accuracy on orders. The options are great, and the food is delicious. But after all the hassle of inaccurate orders, I will not be returning. read more

I love this place, the food is amazingly delicious. I would recommend, and have recommended this place many times. The only reason I scored it so low is because of the cleanliness of the workers, or should say lack of. One man helped us and he had a white apron, after reaching for the items we requested he would wipe his hands on his apron many times. His apron had dried food on it. And it had only two specific areas on each side of apron that the food was wiped through the day. Then we go in again, different day and the young girl turned around and sneezed openly barely covering with her gloved hand. Then proceeded to make the food for the people in front of us. Oh my goodness, if only the service here was as good as the food and the concept, I'd gladly doll out four stars. Maybe we (myself and my sidekick husband) came on an off night, but two of the three younger gentlemen working behind the counter when we came behaved indifferently (bordering on rudeness) to customers in the short, manageable line of maybe five people. The line moved suuuuper slowly despite the fact that there were only two people ahead of us, which was frustrating. A little friendliness and eagerness to help customers would go a long way here. Despite the disappointing service (which I'd rate deserving of two stars), the concept of fast casual have-it-your-way sushi but in deconstructed bowl or large burrito-sized roll form is such a WIN. We both opted for bowls, mine filled with brown sushi rice, half tempura shrimp, half dynamite tuna (surprisingly fresh and delicious) with a handful of the amazing options for topping - one of my favorites being an unexpectedly good sesame guacamole. I also added masago (fish roe) for $1.99, which I thought was just a little bit steep for the portion size, but not terribly so. Both my husband and I LOVED our meals. All of the seafood and vegetables were fresh, and the portions were generous. There's a lot of seating inside, and the seating up near the store's front window has a decent atmosphere with a view of downtown Lebanon, but the rest of the seating sits in back against a very long, very empty, plain wall, lacking character or ambiance of any kind. I wish they'd do a bit more on the inside of this place, to make it a more attractive dine-in option. However, the food makes up for it. I look forward to visiting again but am crossing my fingers that management will address the service issues to encourage return customers. read more
