Not too sure of all the complaints below here…read more This seems to me like there is a large population of old-timers that have experienced an operational change in the business that they are personally not satisfied with. I'm a Calisthenics athlete, with much experience in a variety of gyms. This is one of the only locations with a Sauna, Steam Room, and two Olympic-sized pools with multiple lanes readily available. Their core equipment is fantastic - there are no bent barbells as mentioned in the reviews below (again, no idea where this is coming from) You are paying to stay healthy. So focus on staying healthy. As far as the staff - they are young, but attentive and kind. I myself am 30 and I have literally never had a problem with them. If I have locked myself out of a locker, need education on the available personal trainers, or if I (like one of the posts below) mention a ***particular*** (1/1000) towel hasn't been washed properly - they take it right off my hands. I personally love Genesis and the staff as an athlete who needs a local place to hit all muscle groups. Do not let the below comments from individuals below who probably couldn't pick up a toothpick sway you from a fantastic center. As far as cancellation goes, I have heard nothing but that is an easy process. "Predatory" does not describe the cancellation process at Genesis. Thank you everyone there for supporting our health adventure as we continue to enjoy your facility!

What I find remarkable is that Genesis Health Clubs Miramont South continues to ask members for more money while simultaneously expecting them to tolerate broken equipment, maintenance delays, and facility issues that seem to have become the norm rather than the exception. Your response actually highlights the problem. You mention having thousands of members, which means Genesis has access to substantial revenue. That makes the persistent state of disrepair even more difficult to understand, not easier. The fact that your defense is essentially "we are big and things take time" is astonishing. As for the spin room, claiming that members are providing "great feedback" is frankly insulting, and either profoundly out of touch or intentionally dishonest. Either management is completely disconnected from member experience, or it is choosing to ignore it. Anyone who regularly uses that room knows exactly how miserable those conditions can be. Members are not blind, and they are not stupid. We know the difference between a problem being fixed and management pretending it has been fixed. What is most frustrating is the complete lack of accountability. Every problem comes with an explanation. Every complaint comes with an excuse. Every concern is met with a canned response explaining why members should lower their expectations and continue paying anyway. At some point, Genesis needs to stop blaming parts shortages, policies, and circumstances, and start taking responsibility for the quality of the product it is selling. The reality is that Genesis charges premium prices while delivering an increasingly substandard experience. I no longer believe management is interested in hearing criticism, only in defending decisions that have already been made and in complete denial of the state of the facility. Never seen the pool in such rough shape. Most of the lounge chairs are gone and the remaining ones are broken.

I've been a member for over a year, and this is without a doubt the best gym I've ever joined. Why?…read more The people. The space. The vibe. The offerings. The responsiveness. The community. The people who work at Raintree often remember my name, welcome me in, and help with any issues that come up for me. The people who work out here come in a range of ages and body types, and are friendly and thoughtful about helping keep the space nice for whoever is coming in next. The space is well organized into sections that feel private and very functional. The yoga space is very zen. There are a few hangout areas that include couches, or tables and chairs, and feel very home like. The recovery room is quiet and dimly lit. There are several spaces with weights and weight machines and each have their own personality. The track is perfectly located to make it easy to include the sled and/or a warm up or cool down lap along with weight lifting. The vibe is consistent and reminds me of being in a spa. Not hooty tooty, but rather, like I have a rich friend who has invited me over to their gym and is glad I've come over! The gym always smells nice and fresh, is clean and welcoming, and has good music on at exactly the right volume. It's easy to walk around as the paths to places are well delineated. And, I always feel like I belong. The offerings, responsiveness and community all resonate deeply with me. Currently I am focusing on prepping for the DEKA, and Raintree has classes, trainers and the equipment I need to prep for this. I am also working on becoming more centered and lowering my cortisol, and the yoga classes and sound bath class are really helping me achieve better sleep, less stress and more feeling connected to my body and heart than I have in a very long time. The variety of equipment and my amazing personal trainer, Kelly, have helped me achieve so many of my personal fitness goals without getting injured, including a 4 day back pack trip with some girlfriends while carrying 40 pounds. I am currently working with Kelly to compete in my first DEKA and to do a pull up. I will leave you with one last example to demonstrate the extra mile this amazing space goes to to help me meet my personal goals as well as to feel very cared for. The other day I came in and asked Chad how I could measure out 100 meters so I could practice for the DEKA. He told me he would measure it out for me. So literally, I went to my yoga class and he got my spaces all measured out and ready to go!

I don't know if I would give this place three stars maybe 2.5. Sorry but this gym is getting…read moreovercrowded and nobody who works here seems to want to clean shit or even fill the steam room bottle even when it's sitting outside empty. Take a hint people and also maybe pick up trash and hair and all the gross crap that's laying around the pool area and the gym and the locker rooms. And maybe get some air fresheners in the locker rooms they smell like a sweaty a-hole.

The water had been up to the rocks near the parking area at the South Bay swim area. In the late summer, it had more of the expected high desert vibe. It's nice that they have a no-wake area for paddle boarders and swimmers. Although it is a reservoir, the ugly wall is not a prominent visual feature like ie: Cherry Creek reservoir. I enjoy how this one is situated in a valley surrounded by mountains. Next time, I am absolutely bringing a paddle board. This time however, I was amused and inspired by one man who was not immediately deterred by the fact that he fell off his again and again. When he finally gave up, he had the same problem with his inner tube. The bathrooms/showers were not disgusting but I wasn't so sure how sanitary those children's diapers were in the water. .

Tons of options for hiking. My only gripe is the paid parking, but that seems typical for the…read morearea. Trails around the reservoir were fun and varied from rocky beaches, to steep grades, to rocks you could boulder or climb. The trails were well kept and they were not crowded. I'll have to check it out on a warmer day. There were a few people doing photo shoots while we were there also.
