I'm writing a review for my parents. They had a horrible experience with them (on more than one occasion). This was the last straw. My parents purchased dirt to fill in some landscaping. They dropped off the dirt while no one was home. They didn't give any notice as to when the dirt would be delivered. My father had put a stake with a sign where the dirt should be dumped. Instead 80 yards were dumped in the driveway blocking in the extra car that needed to be used the next day. When my mother called to have them help move it. They said they attempted to call except there were no missed calls on the home phone or cell phones. They advised my mother that they could charge her extra to take back the dirt and would not give any refunds. In the end after trying to reason they refused to do anything, resulting in my father taking 5 hours to move the dirt. They said they would be charging us and leaving the dirt in the driveway without assistance for the mess they created. If we had a delivery time or the driver call us none of this would happen in the first place. Unfortunately they did not act professional in any manner. We have previously given business to them and we will not be working with them any further considering they were not willing to reconcile a mistake they made. read more

Absolutely impeccable yard with an unbeatable selection! We arrived with a rock, project and scope in mind (early stage), and they ran with it... Took us right to the exact rock, offered other options, discussed prices and ideas, and all knowing we were not buying today. THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE, and we just love this place! Ordered some sand and some soil for garden boxes. Friendly, fair prices not cheap but not to over priced and fast delivery. Overall very satisfied would give a 5 star if the prices were more competitive on the base rock. I had to order that from elsewhere to get what I needed. read more

This is my second time (and last time) visiting and leaving without buying anything. They greet you and park you when you come in but then hover over you as you look for what you need. The staff seems ok, but the owner is totally overbearing and his "big shot" attitude makes it really hard to try and choose materials that fit your job. This time, I told him I wanted to select some pieces from an open palette to build two small stairways. He told me that was fine but I would be paying for everything and then he would just throw away the pieces I didn't want. Selection is the most important part of creating a beautiful landscape project, and I find that this place is not conducive to that process at all. The customer service here kills the creative process (in my case). I'll leave them alone and let Mr. Rollari feel important with a different customer. read more

Well OUR Experience with Rolleri was Great! My husband and I went to check out the place. We needed some stone for our back yard project. It was after 4:30 they Close at 4:30, Well we're driving around looking and I'm guessing it was the owner, She approached us asking if we needed any help. And she was so cool with us! she let us come in after their closing our, We told her what our project was, she showed us some Stone/Rocks and before we new it we left with Stone/Rocks in the back of our Truck!! the guy was super cool and helpful the Owner Lady was sweet! Shopped here for landscape rock on a Sunday. They have a decent selection, and we have used them before, but we won't be returning because the guy who waited on us, "Romie," was very unpleasant & unprofessional. We tried to explain to him what we needed, but he didn't want to listen or even look @ the pics we brought. He loaded up the quantity of rock he thought we needed and when we said we thought it was too much, he got mad, throwing the somewhat delicate stepping stones into our truck bed and sniping at us, "you count it" and "you shld have told me." Well, we tried to, but he wasn't listening! We should have just unloaded and left, but already had lots of stuff on the truck, so even tho we have much more rock work to do, we will find another place to get it. We spent over $650 this visit, and this guy can't be civil? Lotsa rock places, this one doesn't deserve our business. read more

I had a completely different experience than the other reviews. I bought enough flagstone, gravel, and DG to build a 600 sq foot deck. I found the staff professional, helpful and courteous. I came back three times before making my first purchase. They let me take a couple of samples home before buying so I could make a good choice. Their prices and selection are good. This is a commercial style business, not a Home Depot, so I can understand not permitting customers to pick and choose stone by stone as that would mess up the stacks and remove the best pieces. I paid $75 for a yard of gravel and got 18 cu.ft. A yard is 27 cu.ft. Instead of making it right Rolleri cussed me out. So I went to Calaveras Materials right down the street and paid $60 for 1.66 cu.yards. This was weighed and it filled the bed up to the middle of the Cab and the tailgate. It wasn't just a small pile in the middle of the bed. Go to Calaveras Materials. read more

BUYER BEWARE when doing business with Rolleri Landscape. They are the only supplier in town and hold their customer's hostage.

We started getting rock products from Rolleri shortly after they opened their business. I think we've bought from them at least 15 times and we've never had a problem until now. Last weekend we bought $1,300+ of rock and two decorative boulders, one of which weighs almost 500 pounds. Romie, the owner, was out of town, and the guys waiting on us said because of the recent big rain they were running at least a week behind in deliveries. We said no problem, just give us a call when they're ready. We paid $110 for delivery and the guys said they would be unloading with a forklift and could put the two very large boulders in the vicinity we wanted them. Well, they called and got our VM because we weren't home but they drove 30 miles out here anyway. Luckily our remodel contractor was here and suggested they unload near the carport, otherwise the boulders would probably be blocking access to the front door. The worst part is we thought we had a good relationship with Romie from having visited his yard for over 20 years, and when I called to ask if they could come out and move these boulders, he kept saying that's not his policy and delivery time is up to him, not his workers, etc. He was so rude I could not believe it was the same person we've dealt with for so long. The call ended with me saying I guess we won't be coming to Rolleri for rock anymore and him saying "good." I do not recommend them anymore, even though we've sent lots of people to him in the past. read more

My husband and I ordered 8 yards of soil (over $500 worth) for our garden beds. Before we bought it we were assured there was no landfill waste in the soil we were buying. We had this happen before from another local landscaping place so we were very specific stating we did NOT want any landfill mixed soil. We were assured the soil was made on site and was all organic. Upon delivery we found that the 8 yards of soil was full of garbage. Pencils, plastic, bottle caps and LOTS of who knows what else. My husband called and requested to talk to a manager who basically blew him off and told him there was nothing he could do, forever losing our future business. read more
