This is a popular figure skating venue. A few of the best instructors teach here and it's a solid community. There are different levels Of instruction, for instance the beginners focus on the initial basics. The more advanced skaters focus on proper form, technique and goal preparation. The Peak also has very good in-house hockey leagues for all ages as well as the occasional tournament. I didn't get there but they have pick-up, drop-in hockey and my son has attended hockey camps here. I've read that they make their rink and other facilities available for birthday parties, holiday parties or corporate events at reasonable prices. I do know they had a killer snack bar. My boyfriend plays on a Sunday night league here. The place itself is state of the art and extremely spacious and clean. I've been to so many rinks where cleanliness goes out of the window and the establishment only cares about the amount of people on the ice. Not here! Employees are always smiling and they seem genuine that they love their job. The rinks itself are rather cold, but it's to be expected if you're watching a hockey game after all. I recommended a hoodie and a blanket if you're watching from the stands (which aren't that comfy, let's be honest!) An arcade is on site if you're here for a party and the cafe is filled with snacks to help your grumbling stomach. Cash only though! The skates handed to me were extremely dull, I tried them on the ice, then went to switch them out. 3 groups of people were waiting and no one was servicing us. One man yelled back toward to office to see if he could leave some skates. Finally the same check in guy from before answered. I then asked if there was someone to switch my skates. He grumpily came over, I told him the pair I was turning in were very dull, and he put up another pair. I felt those and told him. His response, "it's what you get with rental skates." Rude.
