I have an old home and the fuse box and electric service was not up to code and this was now a good time to upgrade. After leaving messages with several other contractors who never got back, I found Gerald Long Electric. Gerald got back that afternoon and came out to inspect and quote a few days later despite being busy. The quote was to replace and upgrade to code, all electrical from the roof line down and into the basement with a new 100 amp breaker box replacing the existing fuse box. Other grounding and neutral issues were also found and corrected. All the work was completed in about five hours! I was expecting it to take all day. Communication with Gerald was excellent, either answering his phone when I called or retuning my call a few minutes later. Everything as promised and at a very good price. With years of experience he has probably seen it all! There were issues and delays with getting a permit to start the work and this would have been much more of a problem if Gerald hadn't been so responsive and helpful. A great guy and crew to work with! Now I know who to use and who to recommend when asked if I know a good electrical contractor. Without any doubt, Gerald Long Electric!

How do you write a review for someone who has literally changed your life?…read moreI don't have the words to express the joy, satisfaction, and content that I have felt since Maintenance Made Easy has come into my life. They gave me something that I desperately needed. TIME! To make a long story short, my husband and I purchased a 1930's brick bungalow 11 years ago. Being naive, it was the vintage Chambers Stove that won us over. We've had to constantly upgrade, refinish, redo, and remodel. We remodeled our kitchen 4 years ago around this vintage stove. At that time, we were willing to live without a dishwasher. I wasn't willing to sacrifice storage space in place of a dishwasher. I have never had a dishwasher in my life, it didn't seem to be a necessity. Fast forward to today. I have my own OCD foodie. He's 4 years old and refuses to use the same utensils for foods that are sweet or salty. Dishes were piling up, and I felt as if I was constantly washing dishes. Stuff didn't feel clean. After spending a few afternoons at a friend's house, playing with her dishwasher, and fearing the hoarding habits that run rampant in both of our families, the time had come. I really didn't need to have 4 junk drawers or a cabinet full of misc pans that were never used. We bought a dishwasher. Had no idea that they would not install it if there was not an old one in place. We called a friend for a quote; he promised that he would try to install it for us in a few weeks. That box sat in my kitchen for almost a month. I hate to wait. I sent inquiries through Service Magic, and called several contractors on Yelp. Maintenance Made Easy called me immediately. Bonus, they were able to come within the week. These guys are incredible. I needed to have the plumbing and electrical pulled in order to have a dishwasher. I also needed to have the cabinets and drawers removed. This was not an easy task due to the layout of our kitchen. It could not go alongside the sink as each cabinet was barely 17 inches wide. The only place that it could be put was around the corner, under the counter almost 4 feet away. I liked that Bill and his worker put thought into it, that they did not just give me what I wanted to get the job. They measured, they did their homework. They had to make sure that the discharge tube would not back up due to the distance. The job that they did was incredible. They also retrofit a small cabinet for me to slide in baking tins and cutting boards with the extra space. I am so happy and thrilled to have a dishwasher that I could scream. The time that it has given me is priceless. I will not use any other contractor other than Maintenance Made Easy. They are the best and they are fair. They are also quick, clean, and great guys to have around. P.S. Imagine having Ray Liotta and Lloyd Bridges doing work at your house. My husband didn't think that it was funny, but I got a kick out of it.
