I had a great experience with this company. I called on a Thursday to have my locks changed for my new place on a Saturday. Even though Yelp says they're only open until 3PM on a Saturday, the locksmith (Chris) very kindly came to our place at 4PM. He changed my lock within 10 minutes and rang my credit card up in his van. $59.99 to come out to the location and $17.50 for changing the lock which came with 2 keys. Lock stopped working again! And they want $300 to fix it after I paid $600 to get it. He said that it's normal for electronic locks to stop working within 2 years and that my family "abused" the lock. They claim to be 24 hour service, but I called at 5:20PM and was told they couldn't come out until the next day. I told them it was an emergency and they said that all there techs are on other projects... REALLY?? All night?!? Here is my thing, I'm OK if you aren't 24 hour. If you are going to promote 24/7 service, BE 24/7. When you decide that you don't want to be 24/7 and the customer ask "do you know someone that is 24/7?" Don't act like you are oblivious to other companies. Just be a good service company and be helpful. Lastly, don't tell a potential customer that "all the techs are on other jobs and can't get out til tomorrow." You're supposed to be 24/7!! Just tell the truth, "It's Friday, me and my guy(s) don't want any more work, cuz I need to hang with my homies and drink beer." Chris saved the day! He responded immediately to my request on a weekend (which most places around aren't open for some reason). A friend had (accidentally) locked the inside door to my place a few months back and when I called a locksmith the first time, they made a key that didn't end up working, which I found out when I was locked out again. Chris came with his full-armored van, created two keys, and even WD-40'd my door (just to make it easier to use the key). I had high hopes for this company but unfortunately I got disappointed. The original yelp messaging back and forth went well. Christopher was polite and responded fast. The next day as promised, I texted him 4 pictures of my door and he replied back with a quote but right when I texted back to inquire about his availability and book him, he stopped answering. This review is not about a visit. My mother shared this story over dinner Sunday night. I thought it was very nice of Chris at Rolling Hills Lock & Key She noticed her patio door latch was broken on Sunday morning. She tried to call everyone on the website and only two companies answered her calls. Both of them were on service calls and tied up last Sunday. However, Chris at Rolling Hills Lock & Key said he will stop by on his way home around 7 so that my mom does not have to leave the patio door unlocked overnight. My mom was so grateful for that. My brother came home earlier than expected. My mom asked my brother if he can do something about it. She said "I am sure Chris rather want to go home to his family after a long day than making a house call late Sunday night." My brother was able to put a temporary measure for my mom and she cancelled the appt. the last minute. Lost my only car fob to my 2015 Dodge Charger over a day before Christmas Eve. Couldn't start my car without it. Chris came out and was friendly and prompt. I lost my only key to one of my vehicles 02 Pathfinder and after searching on Yelp I decided to give Rolling Hills Lock and Key a try. I was given a quote from Chris and was shocked at his price!!! It was by far the lowest I came across. I set up appointment for next day in the evening and he arrived before I expected him. He rekeyed my Pathfinder with 2 keys and made 2 additional keys for gate/house and was amazed how fast it took. Chris is awesome! He provided excellent customer service!
