It didn't take very long at all to get our food, and our drinks were always filled. However, the food was really bad. I normally just get sides at bbq places, and this place let me down, even on those. The beans were very flavorless, like a can of pork n beans from the store. Spicy, tangy, sweet? None of the afore mentioned. The greens were cooked well, but again, no flavor. Not even a greens flavor, let alone any seasoning. My sister got the cole slaw with her plate, and that's where they put all the flavor, but too much. It had a weird flavor of too many. She said it had such a weird aftertaste, like spoiled milk. The potato salad was gross and hard. Mac n cheese was a tray of oil. Disgusting. My sis said the pulled pork was cooked decently, and she liked it. My brother in law had the brisket, and it was visibly 99% gushy fat. He had to send it back and got turkey instead, which had no smokey taste. Very tough. I can't recommend eating here. read more

The burnt ends were good but fatty, the smoked sausage was OK - nice texture, flavor but nothing Outstanding. The meat portions were small. For side dishes I ordered the baked beans and the collard greens - baked beans didn't really shine but the Collard greens were really tasty. My portion was a little small but okay for lunch. Stopped in for lunch last weekend with the wife. I had the 2 meat plate with the brisket and pulled pork and collard greens. My wife had the smoked turkey sandwich. I thought the pulled pork was excellent! It had a nice flavor and was moist and delicious! The brisket was ho-hum. It wasn't bad per se, but it was a little bland and a tad on the tough side. I didn't notice much bark, smoke ring or smoke flavor on it. The greens were perfect! Absolutely delicious! My wife said the turkey was quite good and we both liked the BBQ sauce on the table, which had an oakey, bourbon flavor to it! So I'd say I'd be happy to have lunch there again. This place is a hidden gem! I have lived here for a couple months now and didn't know if this place. The guy was very friendly behind the bar and told us of the sampler, which was a great choice. I've been here twice now and felt compelled to write a review after reading some of the recent negatives that seem somewhat ill informed. As someone who spends a lot of time cooking with my own smoker, I've come to appreciate a good BBQ place and these guys have one! The pulled pork is a great balance of moist without being overly greasy or wet, the brisket is close to perfect and the turkey is moist and delicious! In addition to those mains, I've also tried the macaroni and cheese (amazing...lots of garlic!), beans and chili. While the beans weren't my favorite, the chili was the stuff of legends! It's made with their brisket and has a the perfect amount of spice so, when I go, that will be my "go to" (as long as they have it...it's not something they have every day). Yes, it's a bit pricey but that's to be expected at any good BBQ place that serves quality cuts of meat. If you want cheap, crappy BBQ, go to whatever fast-food joint is offering their latest version of "smoked meat" these days. read more

If I could give it a -1, I would. I don't write reviews and I consider myself pretty easy to please, but l must share our awful experience here. My husband and I tried this place for the first time today. We went with our 1 1/2 and our 5 year old. We walked-in and they gave us a table, my 1 1/2 grabbed the number holder from the table and stood inline with us to order, yes he is a toddler and was a bit wiggly, but still steps from us, when a guy comes out of the kitchen and told us to not allowed our kid to touch anything. This caught me by surprise since he wasn't. He comes with a wet towel towards us trying to grab the number holder to clean it, and I said, "do you not want him to touch anything on our table? Because that was the number on our table" He didn't know what to say, he just said, "just don't let him touch anything else". This was just the beginning. It was 11:15 when we ordered, we for sure thought they would have burnt-ends, and nope, they were out, so we ordered (brisket, hot links, ribs, turkey, mac and cheese, and fries) food was cold, and over-seasoned. It was the worst BBQ I have ever tried, again, this is coming from someone who is pretty easy to please. My wife and I are from Texas and we really haven't found a favorite bbq place here in denver. That was until now. You know it's going to be good when you see the three smokers in the parking lot. We split the "whole smoker", which is a sampling of all the meats and 4 sides. It was a ton of food and we could only eat about half of it. It was everything we've been looking for and more! WOW! My new favor BBQ place! The staff was so friendly and I love that it's walk up order and then they bring the fresh and delicious food to you! I got the brisket and it was FANTASTIC. Definitely try this place out! We went for the first time tonight and were very impressed. My fiancé and I got the whole smoker meat sampler platter and it was delish! We were both stuffed and have tons of leftovers for tomorrow. Our personal favorite meat was the pulled pork but it was all delicious! I'm actually doing my own bbq today and wanted good coleslaw. It was about 4pm on a Friday and a couple of people were there eating ribs ... WOW ... the smell was amazing. Looks like a great place. I must say, the coleslaw isn't too sweet and perfect for my pulled pork sandwiches!! I WILL be back to try many of their menu! This is a pretty standard bbq restaurant but it isn't for everyone. I got the two meat plate with pulled pork, ribs, mac n cheese, and collard greens. The ribs were outstanding, clearly their forte. The pulled pork was dry, and lacking flavor. The mac n cheese was nothing to write home about and the collard greens had a strange flavor. The portions were decent. Although I really enjoy the food here, they seem to have an issue with planning & having enough food to cover the needs of their customers. The past two times we have stopped in (both visits were within a month of each other) they have been completely out of pretty much everything on the menu. No Brisket, no Burnt ends, no pulled pork, no sausage, no ribs, and really no apology. While this might be understandable at 9:00 pm, the first time we stopped in it was 6:30pm and last night (New Years Eve) it was 5:30 pm. We left and went to another BBQ place not far way. 4% customer service charge for using a credit card? Yep, that's right and it started the bad taste in my month that the food helped put the finishing touches on. Smoked Mac and cheese...I like the idea, but the execution is a separated mess of cheese and oil. Pulled pork...this is basic block and tackle work for a bbq joint, but I received a huge piece (at least 50% of the pork) of fat that should have been discarded during the pulling process. Burnt ends are way to fatty, but at least the brisket was solid and the sausage was okay. I apologize for that bad review, but come on. This location has been a non stop string of failed restaurants and this place has basic execution problems that is not going to overcome any problems and bad juju this location has. This place is cute and the BBQ isn't bad, but the sides need work. The Mac and cheese was okay, but the beans and coleslaw were pretty mediocre. There's a strong vinegar flavor to the slaw, which I haven't really tasted before in traditional slaws. And the beans needed salt. Badly. And where is the okra?! You're a BBQ joint! Gimme some fried okra and then we'll talk. I realize it's harder to get fresh okra in CO, but ship that stuff in! My Memphis-raised father came here and was pretty unimpressed. Can't really say I blame him. Good BBQ is obviously important, but great sides are too. Lastly, as a fellow business owner in Colorado, it's actually against the law to pass credit car fees off to the buyer. This is called a surcharge and it's prohibited in 10 states, Including Colorado. You're a business owner, so that's basic operating cost. The first time it was fairly moist, but overly spiced, so I had to drown it in bbq sauce to eat it. The second time, it wasn't overly spiced but both the meat and the bun came out very, very dry.
