There isn't an activities center to send the kids off to...no arcade, no swimming pool. But there is a nicely provisioned store at the top end, and an ice cream stand. There's also a small beach. This is your campfires at night and watching for shooting stars kind of camping. A nice disconnect from most modern amenities. 4G for cell phones is hit or miss. There's plenty to do during the day within driving distance though, so no one will be bored for long.

Bathrooms were decent ( better than NYSDEC camp grounds). Our main reason for our stay here was proximity to the high peak trailheads at ADK Loj. I would not stay here again at a field site, but maybe the wooded sites are better. Check in staff was friendly. $5 firewood, $2 bags of ice were a definite plus.

We were serenaded nightly by live bands at the neighboring BBQ place for a couple hours. Staff was very helpful by phone and stayed late in order to check us in. They have the specific time to clean the shower which they closes from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM daily. I would say it is worth to wait because we get a clean shower stall that I can't complain!!! Then with so many State campgrounds reservations only or closed, we were looking at the side of the road. Found this place on the internet. It was dark when we arrived and the office was closed, but the owner could not have been nicer. Note it is cash only, but the site was level and the price for a full hook-up was only $32. Very relaxing and quiet and strong Wi-fi even at the edge of the park. I would plan to stay here again if the opportunity arose.
