    I paid $199 on 4/13/26 to have a 2024 KIA Telluride shipped from FL to Fayetteville, NC location. I…read morescheduled an appointment to test drive the vehicle today, 4/27/26. However, to my disappointment the vehicle was not in the condition pictured online. It had multiple areas with chipped paint on the front bumper, around the windows, and top of the vehicle. It has a large scratch on the plastic above the tire on the driver side going down the bumper. I questioned the salesman why this was not documented online or if it happened during transit why wasn't I notified. He advised it's a used car it's going to have imperfections. Online the listing only showed an imperfection for one of the rims. If this vehicle would have been accurately posted online I would have NEVER paid for shipping cost. This vehicle only has 12,XXX miles and 2 years old. I requested a refund for the shipping cost through corporate due to the way this vehicle is fraudulently shown online. I spoke with salesman at the Fayetteville location they informed me the manager did not see anything wrong with the vehicle. I informed him of all the areas I saw wrong with the vehicle. He stated he would go look and call me back. He returned my call a little later stating those are all signs of normal wear and tear on a used vehicle. They do not show those pictures online because it's normal. I asked him about the scratches. He told me good news he was able to get it off with his fingernails. He wanted me to come back to look at the vehicle. I advised him no way he got the scratches off with his fingernails. I felt of the scratches myself while viewing the vehicle. The scratches did not budge, paint was completely gone, and the metal of the car was showing. He stated he would not be able to refund me but could give me a $199 credit to have another vehicle shipped through Carmax. I explained I wanted a refund and did not want another vehicle shipped here. He refused the refund and stated they don't post all imperfections of cars online. The 360 pictures online are stock photos. They don't have access to take 360 photos. I explained in detail the other photos posted did not show the scratches on the bumper or chipped paint on the vehicle. This was my FIRST experience with Carmax and it will be my LAST. This is complete FRAUD to inaccurately represent a vehicle condition online. I would have NEVER paid to ship the vehicle here if I would have known the accurate condition. DO NOT SHIP/PURCHASE vehicles from Carmax. They are shady and do dirty business! No way he got those scratches off with his fingernails. I have attached pictures of the online post as well as pictures I took today of the vehicle. You can see for yourself how fraudulently this vehicle was advertised. Carmax should 100% give me a refund for its FALSE advertisement! If I could give them NEGATIVE STARS I would. They do not even deserve a 1 star! UPDATE 4/28/26: Carmax Customer Service REFUSED to refund my money. Will only provide a $199 shipping credit to have another vehicle shipped. They told me today they were able to buff the scratch off of the bumper on the vehicle. However, yesterday I was told they were able to use their fingernails to get the scratch off the bumper. So which one is it? Regardless the vehicle had a scratch, chipped paint, etc that was NOT documented online. Again, if the car was accurately posted online I would have NEVER paid to ship the vehicle. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CARMAX! RUNNN!

The shipping fee was reimbursed and also credited if I decide to purchase another vehicle. I understand things happen and I don't blame the Fayetteville store. I blame the corporation and the process. That being said I do feel that I will give Carmax a second chance. Original post - I reserved a car 2 weeks ago that was to be shipped from Ohio to Fayetteville. The delivery window has come and gone and I still can't get an update. Shipping fees are non-refundable even if the car hasn't moved. I feel like I've been scammed.

    They lie and they do not care...and they claim to be Christians!…read more They advertised a Kia Soul for $4,999. There were 4 pictures of only one side of the car. I live an hour away so I asked for a video and received a video of the inside of the car and again..one side. I asked for a picture of the engine and the whole car, but received a very blurry video. They listed the price at $4999 but lowered it to $3,500, which I questioned why such a huge drop. I went to look at the car and it was filthy..okay, so they cleaned it. It also had body damage that I never was shown in the pictures or video. The fender over the front right tire was damaged, there were scratches and some rust on one door, and small random dents. I did a Carfax so I knew the car had not been in an accident. They brought the car back around and the headlight was out and the back windshield wiper was broken...YET it passed inspection because they are authorized to inspect their own cars. That's an issue! The sales person looked at me and said, "This should not have passed inspection," his words exactly. I sent the car back to the mechanic 4 times to get little things right. I ended up buying the car ONLY because I just totaled my car and it was the same exact car, year, and color, except mine was top of the line, but I knew I could pull parts from my car and make this one right, so I bought it. I drove it right to my mechanic just to find out...the windshield wiper was not fixed, it was broke, the front inside tire was ball (that alone would not pass inspection but they are slimy so they do the minimum.) The car ended up needing a CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND A TRANSMISSION!! You can't imagine how pissed I was. The ONLY thing that saved me was I had the parts from my other car...that is the only thing that saved me but I still ended up having to pay an additional $1100 for them to get the car running right. What is so upsetting is they come across as nice people, but their morals are wrong. Understand this...they do what they have to do to get the car looking somewhat presentable, but remember I had to send the car back several times to have them fix things that were clearly wrong. At one point the mechanic looked at me with an attitude because I kept sending the car back. I don't have anything personal against them but their work ethics are horrible; they know better, but somehow are able to live, justifying their ill ways of not doing better or being honest. I called and told them I knew I bought the car as-is but I felt they should pay me for the tire that should not have passed inspection. Of course when I called, the women who works in the office was very compassionate and understanding and told me the owner would call me the next day. I haven't received a call from anyone yet and the nice, understanding tone I was given...was an act. I bought my 1st car from Cash4Cars in Graham. His name is Lee (336) 264-6487, and he is awesome! He is honest AND he offers you a 2 week turn around..if you do not like the car you can bring it back. I called him but he didn't have the car I wanted...if you're shopping for a car..check him out. He doesn't even know I am bigging him up like this but he's really a nice person. Oh, and I had a mechanic in Fayetteville go and look at the car for me. He told me the issues but never mentioned the major issues. They are located across the street and I believe they have a relationship. If you purchase anything from them...BUYER BEWARE!

So let me start, I found them from the true car and I thought I have got the right deal, but let me tell you they don't tell you the right condition of the vehicle. First, they have put the vehicle for sale at 52k miles on it and when I went there to see that car all the way from Raleigh, it has 57k miles on it with the same price tag. They said they used for their purpose and it runs fine, and I believed it. Moreover, they kept calling about the appointment. I took a test drive and paid for the car and told them the issues I have found and they said they will fix it before they deliver it to me. They fix NOTHING, after paying for my car, they DID NOTHING. NO Proper response. whenever you call they sound rude. After purchasing vehicle, within a month my all dashboard lights started flashing and I had to change its hybrid battery and start up regular battery which cost me $6400 from Toyota and when I asked them they said it was working fine when it was with me and they weren't being honest about anything and they didn't do anything. Even they said they have done the recall on the vehicle they sold me but in fact, it was never been done. The sale girl is like don't call me and call to store. when I call there everyone is like talking to this and this person. In addition to that, they never send me my tag on time and I had to wait after my one-month registration expired and when I ask for the tag they said we will send it to me on Tuesday and they never send even though they got on Monday. They never are on their OWN WORDS and I will never ever rely on their stupid and slacking work what do they do. Basically, they aren't trustworthy and reliable agency for buying any car. Being an honest man, I would never ever Recommend to go to this dishonest, not loyal and slacker people to buy a car. They just want to sale garbage thing and never respond to any of your questions. If you think it is a good deal, make sure you want to get your car checked with other mechanics before buying from this place.

I contacted the Ford customer service center to resolve my issue and the service managers solution was to have us come pickup the vehicle. The manager wouldn't speak to me or return a call even with Ford calling them directly. I wouldn't be so upset except, instead of being honest "we didn't fix it" they put on the paperwork that it mysteriously disappeared on its own (not exactly in those words). So it has been in my possession for 30 hours sitting in the driveway and it's being towed again because the draw drained the battery. (hopefully it's not going to another worthless mechanic) On a side note the sales department tried to be helpful. Julie the loaner coordinator was very friendly throughout the whole process. She tried very hard to accommodate and keep us informed. Mark, the service advisor, tried his best but he was the middle man between an incompetent tech and unsatisfactory management. They were trying to blame the power drainage on our Apple tag keychain or accusing us of a 3rd party application. 2022 Ford F250 Lariat diesel with nothing aftermarket. Completely unacceptable
