I recently had my taxes done here. As usual, Elaine and her employees does a great job. For a family business, they're up to date on technology on how taxes are done. I love how they email you your Returns, you e-sign it and they e-file it. They also will send you a hard copy. The hard copy they send you is in a folder that's very well organize. They are accurate and very thorough. I came here on a Saturday just to drop it off. Noel (?) who took my information was a very nice gentleman. For a few years now, my family, husband, and I have trusted Rolly's because the staff is really good at trying to give you every penny back towards your refund. And their pricing is very reasonable. HOWEVER... - I wish they would spring for a bigger and better sign outside. (It's easy to miss because the bootleg sign isn't well lit or eye catching.) - They need to update the décor. (It isn't welcoming and looks kinda sketchy. Makes you think twice about getting your taxes done here when you first visit.) And more importantly: - They NEED to provide some form of privacy. (If you're ashamed of everyone and their moms hearing how much you make, I suggest you go to H&R Block or use TurboTax. They put your financial business out there for everyone... I mean EVERYONE to hear. They don't speak softly, and the tables and seats are so close to each other that you almost feel like you're filing a joint return with everyone in that room.) Other than that, so far so good... we've had no problems with the IRS! This place came recommended, my friends were told they charge from $50-150. I figured since my taxes are real simple it would the the lowest. The lady said "we start at $90" but most likely mine would be around 130 but I won't really know the final price until it's ready. WHAT??...and if I decide to withdraw/or don't agree with the price there is a $25.00 withdrawal fee. Also be aware, there is no privacy here. In a small room full of people with 4 desks they take all your personal info. Your file is then placed in a pile, in aprox two days they will call u to let you know it's ready and how much it will be. The lady got upset when I decided to not go through with it after learning about this strange policy. Unfortunately, the demeanor of this lady and unprofessionalism made me rate this place -one star. read more

Anyway they charged me 25$ because I guess they had did the work and I decided not to go with them bc I was able to get more on turbo tax when I did it myself. I've used this guy numerous times in the past and have always had excellent results. He is usually able to squeeze some good return money out for you when others cannot, but obviously you need to have plenty of documentation for everything (expenses, bills, etc.) so he can analyze the best way to approach your situation. I haven't used him lately and heard there are a lot more people working for him, but I'm sure if you come in and say you are a referral and you don't want something rushed at the last minute, you will get a great job. Prices are VERY reasonable. Funny story: One of my friends was referred to him by someone else a little while back, I was riding with her to drop off her taxes and I told her, "if this guy you're going to doesn't work out, I know another guy that is pretty awesome..." It turns out she drove right up to Rolly's place! =D (I had only used him when he was still working out of his home office, so I didn't know about this new location on LB Blvd.) They have customers all over the place, so even if you aren't local you can send him everything by mail and he can consult you by phone. I was referred to Rolly by my best friend. Her mom has been using him for years. I actually started using him when he was still working out of his house back office. Now he's in an office space on Long Beach Blvd. where he always has business. Street parking only. Sign in as you walk in since it's first come first serve. Everyone that works here is Philipino so expect to hear them talking to each other in Tagolog. The decor is no exsistent and it's a cramped area. Bring something to read with you if it's busy. Basically you bring your stuff in and there is a worker that goes thru a check list with you and does the prelim work. Call back in a few days and it's usually done. Once you come in to pick up your taxes, you can speak to Rolly if you have any questions. Before using Rolly I always used Turbo tax. Boy was that dumb! I know that paying for tax service is not a fun idea for most people but it's well worth it. In the end you save money....believe me! And Rolly knows his stuff. He not only finds every possible deduction for you but he also advises you on how to save more money for the next year. I've yet to be disappointed! Cost: $145 this year (3 stars for price but 5 stars for service). It's gone up every year...it was $140 last year and $120 the year before. Still worth it to me!! I've never saved so much as I have with Rolly! read more

I don't think it's worthwhile for me to drive 30 minutes and spend $140 for a simple 1040 return at this place. I'm glad they helped me get more money back but I truly believe I can fine someone else in the area to do so (for even cheaper). All of the above make my experience a 4 stars but not the following... One of the ladies told me that I can just mail my partial payment to IRS and they will set up my payment plan back with no interests or penalty. However, this is not true; I just received a mail from them with increases of interest and penalty. read more

Have come here to get my taxes done for at least a decade. It's efficient, and I've not ever had any issues with any tax filings. Best thing about them is they stay open late (till 9 pm most weeknights, but do CALL AHEAD to confrim) including weekends. I've never seen anyone turned away as long as you get on the sign in sheet. It's a small office. I have often thought that the furniture and decor seems like a hodge podge of pieces from different garage sales. But I am here for my taxes anyway, not the "ambience". They have re-arranged the set up so there is now a waiting room off to one side. Parking is on the street and that can get a little bit crowded. I have parked on the street at the rear of the office and some days that works out really well. you may enter through the back door to get to the front of the office. Tax preparation will cost you a little over $100 to start then upward, depending on how you file. But that includes their guarantee of representation is any problems or tax audit occurs. read more

No same day service. They don't take appointments either. They only take people on a walk-in basis and its first come first serve. Sign in when you arrive and check if you're there to drop off your docs or pick up. Wait, wait some more and then wait a little bit longer to be called. They have a bunch of staff but I think it's hard to keep up with the demand especially early in the tax season when everyone is trying to get their refunds. Once they call your name, it doesn't take too long. You give them all your docs and info about expenses and they quickly ask additional questions as they fill out a form for you. Then,they ask you to call in about a week to check on the status of your return before coming back to sign the paperwork before they file your return. Upon returning its the same deal...sign in, wait, get called review and sign your return and leave with a smile on your face, quickly forgetting about the long waits only if you're getting a large refund of course. NOT if the IRS isn't making you give em more of your hard earned cash!!! read more

DO NOT do your taxes here. I came here about 3 years ago and have done my taxes here every year since. This year will be my last. This place recently started charging an absurd amount for simple taxes. The first time was around $120. Now they charge $250 which is insane since my taxes were very easy. In addition, the place is very odd. Cubicles are so close to each other and everyone can hear all the personal information. The wait time is extremely long. You will wait about an hour when you gift them your information. Then you will have to wait another hour when you "pick up" I am disappointed in the folks that work here. Absolute rip off. read more
