So if you live nearby , this place is great for a family dine in experience. The decor is very rustic and welcoming. When I walked I was greeted by service with a smile and a hello . I had the mozzarella sticks (amazing) and a chicken cutlet parmigiana wedge (sub for this area) and that too was well above my expectations... I finished my meal off with a layered chocolate cake that was to die for . Again stop by and give it a go yourself , the star not given was I felt forgotten and waited longer than normal for my food and when I took it to go , it was thrown in a bag sideways and upside down. So enjoyed this place! Went on a rec while in town. It was suggested we try the chef's special as it is always good. It did not disappoint. We started with the caprese Mozzarella. Interesting take, usual caprese but they added capers and bell pepper. Different, but good. The special of the day was a steak with penne in a cream sauce with tomatoes and mushrooms. The steak was not a terrific cut but the steak had a great flavor as prepared and the pasta was amazing!!! I'm gluten free and they were able to accommodate with a GF penned. Our Father's Day dinner was one of the worst restaurant experiences we've had. We came with a party of seven and received terrible service from start to finish. The staff was inattentive, orders took an unreasonable amount of time, and we felt completely overlooked throughout the evening. The most concerning issue was the food quality. Two people in our group ordered the red snapper, and both plates had a strong foul odor. The fish smelled spoiled and was clearly not fresh. Serving seafood in that condition is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about food quality and safety. Father's Day is a busy holiday, but that is no excuse for poor service and questionable food. We spent good money expecting a special family meal and left extremely disappointed. Father's Day dinner...After an hour of sitting there we were told the kitchen never received our ticket order. It took 40 minutes alone just to get bread...we had to flag down someone to ask for it. Almost 30 minutes of waiting to get our initial drink order. Maybe you were short staffed. I don't know but it was a terrible experience! I think a manager should have come by our table to apologize for the inconvenience. I also think our soft drinks should have been complimentary. We were given the bill. We drove from Texas for the main to main sale. We had dinner here Thursday night. The bread was great. The veal Marsala was awful, and cold in spots. The beef lasagna was very good, but they served it to me in a broken chipped burned bowl that should have honestly been thrown away. My husband and I ended up splitting the lasagna because his Marsala was awful. Our waitress never came back to fill our drinks until we were ready to walk out the door, so we couldn't have complained if we wanted to. We were standing up at our table, in hopes she would bring us our ticket because she hadn't been back the entire meal. The cake we got Togo looked and tasted like it was frozen or store bought. Definitely won't be back, but hope they will consider throwing out those awful bowls, as germs and bacteria like to hide in chipped and broken dishes. We had a group of friends go to Roma's after a nearby funeral for one of our beloved friends. Our group of 20 was seated in a comfortable private room in the back It was on Saturday at noon, so we were hungry. Those hunger pains melted after we are our first dinner roll. This bread was hot with crunchy crust. The served it with REAL butter. For our meal, my hubby and I split a 16" pizza. Crust was my favorite part. What a find in a small town! We went there two nights in a row! The service from Stone in the dining room and then Ella in the bar area was spectacular! They made us all feel great! The first night was a big table of 15 in the dining room and then the 2nd just 4 at a table in the bar.... still they did fantastic both nights!!! Everyone loved the food, especially the sauces! The 'pink sauce' is incredible! Extremely well done with a hint of spice! I could eat cardboard with that sauce!, but trust the veal(the chef cooked it perfectly)! Nice wine list and really good drinks! The appetizers and hot bread were tasty, but save room for the entrees! Definitely worth the drive to Minden!!! read more

First thing is the lemon cello was damn good. The food is very good. Service was good. Very nice atmosphere and the place is super clean. The table had a wobble but overall, when I am in the area I would eat here again. The lobster ravioli is better than when I had it in New York Italian district. read more

My husband and I Loved the food here Hidden Gem in a small town. It was delicious! He got the lasagna and it was delicious his words were "damn babe this is GOOD" i got the shrimp pasta with pink sauce not sure the name of it but it was good! Nothing like this tastes in my hometown (956). The customer service was 10/10 the waitress was very lovely and helpful and very attentive. The bread is very good too! The ambiance was very calm and peaceful it was awesome to know that it used to be a bank! very nice place i loved it. we will for sure be going back before we leave louisiana! read more

They have great customer service and the food is delicious. If you're ever in Minden, I recommend you give them a try, and if you live in the area, you should've already eaten here.... I like Roma's I've almost always enjoyed the Food. I will say though, the past month or two (as of 1/12/24) it has tasted different the two times I got it, could've just been that night. I really don't know but it's almost like they used a different recipe or maybe they are getting their ingredients from a different place, now it's not an overwhelming difference but there definitely is something different and I don't personally enjoy it, I think one key thing is that there's sauce used to be sweeter and now it's a little more on the salty side so maybe that's it. Now personally, I typically order mine to go, but I've never had a problem with service. They are always very respectful. I've only ever eaten in the restaurant once, and I would say I did enjoy the ambience. The mood of the restaurant and the vibe and energy of the restaurant match the food great and it is a lovely experience. The only reason that I'm taking off one star is because, the last 2 times that I went it has taken a rather long time, I would say somewhere around a 45 minute wait for two chicken parms with spaghetti, I am kind of just chucking that up to new ownership or management, because I am aware that the previous owner has passed away recently and I'm sure things have changed because of the passing. read more

We absolutely love coming here for date night because it's great food and often a great atmosphere. The bread is so good and I love how many choices they have! The tables, plates, and utensils are sometimes spotty/not quite clean, but they are accommodating when the issue arises. read more

I can't believe this place is in Minden Louisiana! Just went for the first time and was blown away impressed. Beautiful décor in historic location, large number of attentive staff, cohesive but large menu (one of those where you want to try nearly everything), great food and reasonable prices. Seriously impressed with the staff.....somebody has made a very conscious decision not to skimp on service! There must have been 20 or more people working in there are all well qualified and busy. Excellent service! I had the pizza and it was perfect. Others at table had veal and chicken pasta dishes. Their bread and vodka sauce is highly craveable! First time here and I am shocked at how good the food is. Alfredo, pizza, Greek salad, calzones, chicken Parmesan, tortellini, all delicious. The house dressing is insane good. I would go back just for the dressing. Our server seemed a bit rushed but what the service lacks, the food makes up for. The restaurant is nice and clean and the room with the bar is comfy and felt appropriate for kids. We have been living nearby for a couple of years and always complaining about no good dinner restaurants. This one is a keeper for sure. We will be back. Also have to mention THE BREAD+REAL BUTTER on the tables is 10/10 good. You must go if for no other reason then to smear some butter on their hot bread. read more

I hesitate giving Romas a low score even because I always hear such great things. I finally ordered one of their pizzas for the first time and was very very dissapointed. I ordered the chicken spinach Alfredo pizza and a BBQ chicken pizza. The ONLY thing that had ANY kind of seasoning/flavor was the BBQ sauce. And I assume that's only the case because it's probably a prepackaged/bottled sauce. Alfredo sauce may as well have been thickened milk. When I say 0 flavor I am not exaggerating I promise. I felt the sauce in my mouth and yet tasted nothing. I LOVE chicken. I LIVE for chicken. So I pluck a nice big piece of chicken of of my pizza to see if it's just the sauce. No. The blandest looking and tasting chicken. No joke I couldn't even taste salt or pepper on it. My SO picked a piece of chicken off his BBQ pizza and it was the same. So they just don't know how to season chicken. Or sauce. AND THEN I'm like ok there's no way I've heard all these praises for this place and this is what they serve. Let me atleast try the crust. Maybe by the grace of God I can atlaast enjoy the crust off of all the slices because I do love bread. Lol pero no. 0 flavor. This pizza was literally thickened milk and naked chicken baked on to cardboard. I honestly have no intentions of going back in the near future if at all because I was so dissapointed. If I had found ONE saving grace I would've given them the benefit of the doubt or at least tried to. But the whole thing was very dissapointing and unappetizing. I worked in pizza for about 4 years and never got tired of it. I love pizza so much, I could eat it everyday. So finally getting to try one of the "best" pizzas in minden...no. I ordered my entree when mushrooms came after she kept asking me if I was ready. I felt rushed and just ordered. I had taken one bite out of my mushroom and here comes my entree.
