We were not near her or interacting with her when she suddenly approached us from a distance and began yelling at my child screaming "Stop it!l" and nobody wanted to hear him. Her tone was loud, hostile, and aggressively confrontational toward a small child. She then turned on me and continued verbally attacking our family. I immediately told her she could not speak to my child that way and began walking my family away. Instead of stopping, she continued the confrontation as we tried to leave. She initiated the encounter and escalated it despite our clear efforts to disengage. My children were frightened by how hostile and intimidating her behavior was and remained upset afterward. Since then, I have come across other Google reviews describing similar aggressive interactions involving families and children, which is particularly concerning in light of what we experienced. I understand that children can sometimes be loud or upset in public. However, approaching a distressed four-year-old from a distance to yell at him and continuing to aggressively confront his family as they leave is unacceptable behavior. I'm sharing this experience so other families can make informed decisions.

The woman who owns the shop is wonderful. She's clearly very particular about what she carries - everything is either organic, eco-friendly, or sourced from independent designers (she said she carries pieces from approximately 12 Etsy vendors). Pretty much every piece of clothing was soft to the touch and there was a decent assortment of colors, textures, and garments. The only downside is it felt like she was really limited in terms of multiple sizes in some of her garments. I know indie shops like this can't carry everything and will obviously run out of certain sizes or colors first, but anyway. The other thing she carries a lot of is vintage costume jewelry. I pawed through her cases (and there are many!) and lusted over a few different things. And just for a heads up, almost everything I picked up in terms of jewelry was $50 or above. It seemed like Brooches started around that price point and necklaces started around $100 for the most part. Granted I'm sure there are pieces cheaper than that, but it would have taken hours to manhandle everything she has. This isn't a discount kind of a place; it's obvious she takes a lot of care in collecting pieces that don't have missing stones or damaged hardware, and aren't some corny theme (like some of the antique shops in the area with Christmas or 4th of July things that will never sell). She also has a pretty solid assortment of vintage purses and leather pocket belts (those have a bit of a Burning Man feel to them, if you know what I mean). So, if you're not going to balk at the price of organic and independently made clothing and accessories, it's definitely worth checking this little shop out. If you have really nice vintage jewelry you're looking to get rid of, I'm sure she would be interested in taking a look at it based on some of the comments she made.

When…read morewe asked to test ride a couple, the staff wouldn't allow it, only offering their 'test board'. If you know anything about skating, one board can be completely different than another, so this is useless. Considering all the nuance (shape, length, flex, weight) that go into a longboard, it is insanity to think that a customer would drop $160+ (their lowest price) on something that they can't test on the sidewalk. In 30+ years of skating and surfing, I have never been to a shop that wouldn't let you test out such a big purchase. Leave this shop to the tourists and posers and spend your money somewhere that actually cares about the culture.

The girls working the shop are more interested in gossiping/talking amongst themselves and staring at their phones than being welcoming, helpful, or kind... esp the ones working on 8/11. We likely would have spent much more, but we got the feeling they would have rather us just left than buying anything at all. We witnessed them treating many others this way -- including a surfer who came in looking for an accessory to his board, who was sent away with nothing but a weird attitude. Idk, maybe find new employees.
