Romay's has solid service and Mike would always make sure I was updated regarding progress made on my cars issue (intermittent battery light). I had to go back to the shop a second time due to the issue reappearing. But they uncovered the real issue after they found out the dealership never informed me about a maintenance bulletin for the battery. Under their warranty I didn't have to pay any extra service costs which was appreciated. Problem has been fixed, Mike and the Romay team went above and beyond and did Subaru's job for them. read more

Romay's i everything you could ask for in a repair shop; honest, competent, and fair. I recommend their services without hesitation.

The few times I've been to Romay's, Kelton has taken care of me. He's very good at communicating, and does his best to lay everything out for me. I have had some issues with Romay's and their mistakes on my coolant system. However, after I had to get management involved they were able to fix my coolant issue for the 3rd time and only charged me $100.00. I recently took my car into Romay's for a caliper needing replacement. Kelton continued to blame it on the mechanic that did my brakes a month and a half prior stating it was his fault, etc. Whoever's fault it was that wasn't necessary. In my opinion I think it was Fords fault bc I had just taken it in for routine maintenance and when I got it back I began smelling a gassy/something burning kind smell for a few days but nothing was leaking. Anyways, once Kelton told me everything that needed to be done, they were going to charge for all this...his words verbatim "The hourly charge is 159. We would need to change out the brake fluid. The part is 97.95. It also calls for 4 hours to replace that hose. So the total after parts, labor and tax is $1,169.35." I spoke to multiple ppl some being mechanics and they all advised me that was a ridiculous price, and I could take it to them for way less. However, my caliper was out so I would have caused an accident with no brakes. Anyways, although Kelton was nice and probably super annoyed with me. I highly doubt the price he was attempting to charge he could afford himself, or is most likely a little less than his bi-weekly take home pay. I was able to get my car towed to another shop. I highly doubt I'll be going to Romay's again. The pricing is just way too high, I understand I have a vehicle that does cost money but they even wanted to charge me $2000 to replace my brakes. They also changed my battery for $600 geez if only I knew what I know now. Only go to Romay's if you want to pay a lot of money. Go see Kelton if you do go to Romay's! (No pun intended) He's the one with the nice sneakers on. read more

I can not express how blessed I was to have Found Romay's. We had a accident on our Mercedes. It did damage to the rear of car. Romay's was fast and friendly at getting it fixed. They also did oils change that cost $350 at dealership for $150. If you have any car you need service this is the place to go. read more

took my truck to check the A/C system, Paul the service counter sells told me I had a bad A/C compressor. The gentleman working on my truck was sick, so they had another tech install my compressor, then the tech guy that was sick came back to work and told Paul that the AC lines were bad, Paul called me and told me it's the A/C lines, so ,the first guy installing my compressor mess up my AC lines. Paul mentioned he was not going to fix the problem and that I had to pay extra for the AC lines. I am not bringing my truck to Romay Garage again to get service. I would.not recommend to bring your vehicle to get service. read more

I left my car with Romays auto service the middle of May this year when I was backing out of the garage I noticed an idiot light warning me to check the coolant level. I did and found no obvious problem but left my A8 audi with them and later that day was told it needed a new water pump I told them to do it and also made them aware of a wrench idiot light that stated I needed service and that I was leaving on a business trip and I reminded them I had an oil change done a few weeks ago. That also reaffirmed my low mileage on my 2005 jeep 9k miles it shook and rattled me to death I now realize why I don't drive the jeep much May 28th I picked up my car only to note the wrench idiot light was on I took it back and was told I needed service for oil change that they did and after a long time conferring with mechanics they finally corrected that problem. So here is the problem I backed out of my garage and the original after paying $1600 for a new water pump I'm told that I needed another part sorry not a mechanic but this is the last place where to go read more

I'm from San Antonio, but I visit C.C. Often to go fishing...my kids think too often. My Check Engine Light appeared one trip, so I stopped by Romay's to have it checked out. Luckily it was just a lose gas cap. They gave my Lexus a curtesy inspection and showed me a few other items I needed for service which my guys in San Antonio missed. Fred was nice enough to let me see the issues first hand, put together an estimate, and then he prioritized the work so I knew what was needed and when. Now I schedule my fishing trips accordingly with service. I still fish too much, but feel much safer and comfortable driving around with my family. I'm not always lucky when fishing, but I'm guaranteed a great job, and professional service at a fair price! I tell all friends and family to visit Romay's when in C.C.. We are thinking to moving to C.C. and having a trusted mechanic give us a big peace of mind. I leave my fishing and, faith with GOD, and my vehicles to Romay's Automotive. I took my 2009 Mini Cooper S to Romay's because it was suddenly leaking oil. They diagnosed it over the course of 2 days. It was a complicated and expensive problem with the engine. They researched it and told me while they could do the repair, they wanted me to know it was covered under a recall if I took it to San Antonio to a Mini Cooper dealership. Romays could have done this repair and I never would have known I could have had it done for free under the recall. They were honest and considerate. After two days of trying to diagnose it, they only charged me $49. They have done previous work on the car and always been wonderful. My experiences at Romays have been great and I would recommend them to any one with an import. read more

Ok so I'm going to tell you about my experience with Romay. I took my truck in because it was overheating and paid him $1,000 to fix it. When i got the truck back a week later I thought the problem was fixed, but about an hour on the way to Austin I realized nothing was fixed! The truck was still overheating and I had to turn back, with my 3-month-old daughter, 7-year-old daughter and wife in the truck also. We had to stop every 5-10 minutes to hose the engine down on a 80 degree day, and it was traumatic because we were forced to often pull over to the side of the road and wait as the heat crept up on my young children. One of the worst days of my life. I honestly felt like it was a life or death situation. We got out of it ok, but there's a good chance my engine block cracked in the process. In either event, obviously Romay and his people will never work my truck again. after what happened to my family I have to let y'all know in case you run into a similar situation. Romay has my number so if he wants to offer to make this right he has the opportunity to, but I'm not holding my breath, and he's going to have to offer cash back because he's never getting his mitts on my truck again. I'm not a rich man but I'd rather pay another $1000 to another mechanic than ever go through this again. read more
