When I called the office and asked if someone could bring me gas because I was out but the tank was showing 20%. They came the next day. The driver was professional and checked out everything using gas. I appreciate the customer service I have received. I left another company because of rudeness and unprofessional attitude. I would recommend this company to anyone. read more

Unbelievably rude staff! The driver insulted me because he didn't turn on the gas after filling my tank! Called me a b*tch and many other names! I am astounded by their lack of customer service! Grade A crap. This company and its management is the WORST i have ever dealt with. As a new customer I didn't know what to expect. They filled the tank 2 times without ever doing a pressure test. After dumping over $200 of my money into the air they decided to do a leak test and found the problem. They wanted to charge me $150 to fix the issue the. I had to pay to replace the lost gas. The field rep said it wasn't their fault but that they never fill a tank that is empty without a leak test which they did twice. After filling it they never checked to make sure everything was ok. Just left. Once the problem was found and I contacted the manager. He said we have offered you all we are going to we are not going to replace your gas for you. I asked him how I should be liable to replace it due to their negligence he said I tell you what we are going to do. We will be there in the morning to get our tank. He was very rude, harsh, short tempered, and unprofessional. I will NEVER do business with Rome gas again and I will tell everyone about my experience with them. I hope whoever owns this company is happy with their employees. read more

So my house has a propane tank in the back yard for a fireplace. I wanted to fill the tank as the weather has been pretty cold and a fireplace is always nice to have especially when your house runs on all electricity. So i called Rome LP company... its a family owned business as i understand it. Well, like a lot of people, I work 40 hours a week and I have pets so if someone is going to come into my yard, I need to know about it and be at home. Well good luck trying to get a estimated time of delivery from this company. I called several times trying to set up an appointment and so i finally picked a day I was on vacation so I could be sure to be home. The owner Ronnie Kilgo (not sure of the spelling) came out with a younger man. The younger man knocked on my front door and as soon as I opened it he said, "can you move your car?" Not hello, I'm so and so from Rome gas or any type of customer service rapport at all. Then he tells me that my propane tank is on that side of my house. Well, Mr so and so, how very nice to meet you but actually the tank is right in the middle and the larger gate is on the other side. So I walk him into the yard and offer to show him what I am talking about. The owner, Mr. Ronnie K. follows along, then he explains that he can't drive on my neighbors driveway b/c he might crack it or something. Guess he isn't worried about my driveway though... so ok. I get liability and all of that. So I ask him if he is the owner and he says yes. Then I tell him about the hard time I have had as a working person in getting some type of time frame for this visit and he tells me he has over 40 calls just today and he can't give me a time. The tone he used was really loud and clear that he is busy enough and doesn't need my business. I tell him that it doesn't seem to be a very customer friendly perspective to have as a business owner. So he tells me I dont need to be home for him to deliver the gas. I remind him that i have dogs in my back yard and I do need to be home to secure them if someone is going to enter my yard. So Mr. Customer Service says, "Well that is YOUR problem." Really? Ok, thanks for the time Ronnie but I dont think I will need your services after all. Have a great day and thanks for coming out. As a business owner, you should at least care about your customers. You should teach your employees basic courtesy and show some for the people who pay for your service. I dont think that is too much to ask. read more
