I've been a fan of Romeo's PIzza since I discovered them in Ohio several years ago. My wife insists their Ranch Lovers Buffalo Chicken Pizza is the best pizza she's ever eaten. Every time we go back home to visit family in northeastern Ohio she insists we get one of these pizzas to bring with us when we return home to Virginia. I was excited to discover several months ago that Romeo's had opened a location in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. It's not very close to our home in Chesapeake, Virginia but we finally made the 50 minute drive a couple weeks ago. We were not disappointed. We liked it so much that ten days later we made the trip again. As I mentioned, my wife especially enjoys the Ranch Lovers Buffalo Chicken Pizza. My favorite is Romeo's Deluxe Pizza with pepperoni, sausage, green pepper, red onion and mushroom toppings. The sauce is unique and a little sweeter than most pizza sauces, it's really delicious. I appreciate they don't just use the same old boring mozzarella cheese but rather their Wisconsin cheese blend. I think the sauce and cheese set Romeo's apart from a lot of the competition. The store is clean and the staff is super friendly and professional. Service is stellar. Shawn (I apologize if I'm spelling his name wrong) is the franchise owner and you can tell he takes a lot of pride in his business. Be sure to create an online account to receive emails for discounts and promotions. I don't know how long it will last but they've been sending emails every Tuesday for buy one pizza and get another one free on Tuesdays. We have taken advantage of this, it's a great value on some really delicious pizza. We are so happy to now have a Romeo's Pizza in the area. For us, it's worth the 50 minute drive (each way) because the pizza is superior to that of most other pizza chains I've experienced. Give them a try, you will be glad you did.

The location is takeout only and they also offer delivery. Ordered through the app which is easy to navigate and also has a rewards program. The crust has the perfect amount of crunch biting into the soft hot bread. The wife and both commented on how good the crust is. I'll have to get some of the different dipping sauces next time. I love the large tangy sausage chunks and the ham generously covered each piece. The sauce is sweet, very sweet. Three of us ate the pizza and all of us thought the same. I'm not going to say it's too sweet I'll let you decide. Overall we will definitely be trying different menu items in the near future and strongly recommend, cheers!

Ordered online was a breeze. The sauce to cheese ratio is perfect. Sauce is good wasn't sweet in my opinion. Crust was nice and had that crunch to it. I feel like this is the best in EC. Employees were super friendly. Our pizza was ready and hot when we arrived. The establishment was very clean. They might be more expensive but the quality is worth it.

I picked up my order before the pickup time it gave me. The pizza was cold. It was odd, the sauce was a little warm but the dough was cold. If you've had real Chicago deep dish you will be disappointed. The dough is just thick and doughy like a soft pretzel. The sauce is way too sweet. The wings were the worst I've ever had. They seemed like they were left over and reheated and then allowed to get cold. Just dried up, tiny and cold. If the sauce wasn't so sweet I would try the regular pizza another time but definitely not the wings.

Pizza sauce too sweet for my liking. It reminded me of Papa John's but a lot sweeter.

We always get the same order, well I do at least because I absolutely love their chicken salad, I always ask for extra. I do love their fries over their sweet potato fries. I just feel like their sweet potato fries could be crispier. Their grilled cheese, burgers, salads, and everything else we have tried have been good. I can't remember a bad meal here. Service is good but they are busy, so sometimes I feel like staff can be short. Our server was a young gentlemen this time and he was very kind, thorough, and checked in on us the appropriate amount of times. The establishment itself is very farmhouse pub vibes, they offer single room bathrooms for men and women and they're always clean. They also have outdoor seating for those nice warmer days. This place stays packed for a reason.

Service was fine but waitress kept calling us "sweetheart" and "sweetie pie" and "honey" which got super annoying after the first 10 times. The coconut shrimp was okay. I don't think I'd order again. A bit too crispy. The chicken salad and fries were really good. The chicken and waffles were chicken strips, not a breast, not what you'd expect in the south. Also, the chicken and waffles didn't come out until the rest of the table was almost done eating. Honestly a waffle and chicken fingers should not take that long to cook. The place was cute but overall just okay. I'd try again but I wouldn't say rush tomorrow. 3.8/5

All 50 wings fit in one to go box and there is hardly anything more than bones. I get $25 is cheap for 50 wings, but not for bones. It makes you wonder what they charge for their bones when it's not on special. The ambiance was okay. Completely empty dining area and a few people at the bar. The guy helping me was friendly. I ordered the Surf and turf burger which was described as a burger with lump crab on it and an old bay aioli. The burger was two much for the amount of lump crab on it. Two patties with a smear of lump crab. I was informed that was a new item on the menu and the server asked about what would have made it better and I said the same thing I'm telling you ( just one burger Pattie would have been plenty). As an appetizer we ordered buffalo wings which weren't bad but they are breaded and sauced which I prefer naked and sauced. Overall not the worst meal I have had but also not the best.
