The crust is so light and airy . It has great "toothy" mouth feel. The cheese is stretchy . I had the Italian sausage on mine. Delicious. They have Ken's salad dressing packs. Love the bleu cheese. The salad was crisp and refreshing. Iceberg lettuce, grape tomatoes, red onion slivers, couple croutons and cheddar shreds. Service is great! The ladies are always cheerful and very informative of their menu offerings . The owner served us today and he was very busy in kitchen and covered for one of the early waitresses. Great guy. Very amiable. We usually hit here once a month for lunch. Regular menu items we have had during other visits have been Stromboli, Calzone, Lasagna, Liver & onions with mashed and gravy( awesome) . If I was just grading the flavor of the Stromboli - it would have been a 4.5. Right amount cheese, meat and sauce for the $16 price. The lower rating is for multiple other factors. Starting with the long wait for the delivery - Ordered at 5:35 and received the order at 7:09p. I would understand if it was a busy Fri or Sat night but it's 5:30 on a Wednesday. Then the cheese bread would have been ok but Wow was there a lot of grease in that box (check pics). Then when I went to dip into the marinara - it was ice cold. I ordered a side of ranch but since they sent it in the box w/ the bread & was Luke warm. Just not a good mix. I would give them a try again because of the flavor of the sauce and taste of the Stromboli but next time might dine in. read more

Went here as a family one afternoon after a soccer game. We went because we heard so many people speak so highly of it. And I wanted a Philly cheese steak and my husband and kids wanted pizza. Luckily this place had both so we stopped. The philly wasn't exactly what I had hoped it would be but the pizza was pretty good. The service was okay, but we waited a good bit of time. I have always enjoyed the food here. I always get a stuffed pizza, appetizer, cheese bread, and a piece of carrot cake, NY cheesecake, and the chocolate cake. It's usually very good and the service is good. This last time the cake I got wasn't good at all. The carrot cake had blobs of flavor and the chocolate cake was dry and wasn't a purchase I was proud of. Hopefully, whatever the hiccup was this time will be resolved quickly and I can get back to placing my usual large order. Our pizza was spicy, which was something I'm not interested in. Worst customer service in the city. Ordered our food for delivery at 6pm last Friday nite. Order had not arrived by 730, called the restaurant and was told the order was on the way. Called back about 9pm was told the machine for orders was down and the order was never sent. They said they would sent it. At 1015 pm we finally received the order. We told them we didn't feel we should have to pay since it was 4 hours late. The delivery driver did not speak English and put the owner on the phone. The owner stated we needed to pay full price for the order or they would call the police. Insanity. I will tell everyone I know not to frequent this restaurant. I hope it closes soon. Unacceptable. Weird parking lot. Use to be a bk. They changed the menu. Its a lot smaller now. No hot subs. They have french fries that are very tasty. Pizza size is good. Taste is average for a cheese and pepperoni. Over all its not bad. read more

I've been meaning to come in for a while especially for the garlic knots and finally made it. Omg, I could have just eaten those and been satisfied. The price and the quantity is amazing. We also got a bacon cheeseburger pizza which was divine. Nice enough little diner. Sunday afternoon was a bit busy, but we were sat quickly, It did take a while for the waitress to take our order, but the food came out pretty quick. Large portions food of food. The Alfredo has no flavor but the shrimp is cooked nicely. The Alfredo sauce is made with cream and is good we just had to add a ton of garlic and oregano. They added a ton of cheese on the Alfredo which wasn't necessary, parmesan would've been better and gave it the salt it needed. The red sauce is good and not sweet like most places. The side bread you get is flavored the best with seasoning just not toasted very much. I wouldn't recommend the calamari at all. It was so chewy and the tentacles of the squid were like leather. I've been here twice and think this place is pretty good. The pizza isn't New York by any means but makes up for it in flavor. The tomato sauce is nice and flavorful with the Italian seasoning in it. The first time I savored their small Greek pizza with jalapenos. The fresh veggies were a delightful addition. There isn't any meat on it but I can yell you won't miss it. Second visit I shared a party pizza (24 slices) with my family. I also got an order of garlic knots for myself, but later ended up sharing :) I will be returning. read more

Ok first visit today: Used to be the old Burger King, but not much evidence of that inside the restaurant, which is good. We ordered the chicken calzone and chicken parm sub. Huge calzone for the price! Freshly made, but flavor was ok. Wasn't savory, rich, or flavorful. Just ok. You have to dip it in the marinara sauce it comes with. Should add a tad bit more Italian seasoning, a bit of fresh basil will go a long way. Also, put just a little shredded smoked Gouda or Swiss and it'll give that chicken calzone that flavorful "umph". I walked in the front door to find old school charm in the building. I looked around and noticed alot of the clientele were the older crowd. This is always a red flag because usually they come for the low price specials and not necessarily the quality of food. I ordered the 2 1 topping slices with a salad special. The salad was just ok, all iceberg lettuce with the standard 2 cherry tomatoes and slice of cucumber. More variety in the lettuce, and some cheese and crackers would of made it better. When the 2 slices came out they were actually 4 slices so not sure why they call it a 2 slice special. The pizza was definitely the star. Chewy crust but yet not the least bit soggy,. Really good pizza, really good wings, no upcharge on extra ranch, and good service. Was in town to see my grandma and we really wanted pizza. Heard this place was all the rage. Decided to swing by and check it out; they were right. We got the cheese plus custom toppings; spinach and steak, all of which was cooked just right. There weren't too many wings but they weren't expensive and they were damn big for the small order. The waitress was good and drinks stayed filled. My only complaint is the restaurant is dead quiet; there's no music at all.... To be honest, it's kind of subjective (I'm sure some people like the dead quiet, only-the-sound-of-voices jazz, but I thought it could have used at the very least, some elevator music lol). If you don't mind eating your meal with another costumer nearby with a dog, than this restaurant is for you, bring your dog, he's welcome. The woman with the dog said her dog was a "therapy dog", but the dog had not vest on stating so. I don't have a problem with a dog in many places, but a restaurant has crossed the line for me. If you feel you need to bring your dog into every establishment, than you need more than a therapy dog, you need professional help of the human kind. I love dogs, I have dogs, I do volunteer work at the shelter. But my dog stays at home when I go out to eat out of consideration of other people. I can't believe Barley's put one customer over all the others in their restaurant. I have been to Barley's many times and have always enjoyed their food and friendly staff. Decided to try Barley Pizza after I saw they offered Calzones! We ordered two large Calzones, a large half cheese half pepperoni pizza, and their garlic knots. Pizza and Calzones were yummy! Garlic knots were a miss for us, as they were a bit well cooked (even though we did not check the box for well-done knots). We like our garlic knots thick and doughy :) We enjoyed out to go meal anyway, and will be back for more. We had to check out the new pizza place in town for lunch. They've have a good size menu not just pizza and wings. Prices are reasonable portion sizes good and the food look good tasted good. I tried a Gyro it was a good size portion and full of good flavor. My wife ordered up a calzone and she enjoyed that, saying it was full of flavor and it was also a good portion size. However they need to work on service. After being seated we waited almost 15 minutes for a so called waitress to come and take our drink order that only happened after my wife complained to the counter. After a few clueless waitresses or so-called waitresses showed up and tried to take a our order kept getting distracted what others were doing. A real waitress came on duty her name was V and she did an outstanding job from then on out. The clueless waitresses mostly stood behind the counter and add confusion to what was going on. They really need to have a front end manager to manage those people as I said they are fairly clueless but our hats off to V for doing a great job and saving our visit. read more
