He kept trying to get my wife to sign up for things even though she said she wasn't interested. He kept coming down on the price trying to make a sale. COMPLETELY unprofessional. Offered to pay for the first month out of his own pocket. What a joke! Made my wife feel uncomfortable, I was considering calling the police to make him get off my porch. We told him we already had pest control service and that should have been enough, but he kept insisting. Then we get a call that they cant service the property because we have a dog. I understand the dog policy, but that is not what we were told at the time we signed up. and we have to pay the cancellation fee. Customer service is non-existent. I asked to speak with a manager, was told would have someone call back. That call back was 2 weeks later... I'm really disappointed with Romex Pest Control. When I first signed up, I saw so many good reviews and expected reliable service. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite. Their quarterly service is supposed to cover both interior and exterior, but they repeatedly show up without any notice. I've called multiple times asking them to give me a heads-up and at least a 30-minute call before the technician arrives--something they promised--but it has never happened. Today was especially frustrating. I was given a four-hour service window, but the technician showed up two hours after that window without a single apology or even the courtesy of a call. This is simply not the level of professionalism I expected. It feels like once you sign the contract, they stop trying. I plan to cancel as soon as my one-year contract is up. Their service is such bad and that they don't even check anything just clean in some area and leave it within 10mins and take 1 picture just that he did somethin. They did not deliver at all when it comes to pest control, we still had numerous ants and spiders throughout our yard and inside. When ever we called for a follow up they'd recommend we give it time to work or schedule new service to charge us sooner. I paid $1,800 to purchase and have 14 termite stations installed. 6 months later I go to sell my house and cancel the monthly termite treatment and they can and took the stations I purchased leaving big holes in the ground. You tell them multiple times that you want to quit when contracts over- but they continue to charge and keep u locked in with differing end dates. Called multiple times and still can't get through to anyone and quit. They also can't even answer what you pay for or what your monthly cost actually is(changes as well as services). Romex employs door-to-door sales associates who go around and ring your neighbor's doorbells. If you are thinking of working with this company or already are, be aware that whether or not you permit them they will use your name when knocking on your neighbor's doors. Working with this company may earn you a few angry looks from your neighbors. A sales associate walked up to my front door today, looked at the "No Soliciting" sign right above my doorbell, and rang it anyway. Once I answered, he proceeded to tell me that my neighbors two and three houses down sent him, even using their names. I informed the sales associate that I was not interested and pointed to my "No Soliciting" sign saying we had one. He told me he didn't see the sign and then proceeded to continue his pitch anyway. This is the second or third time in 6 months I've had to tell this particular sales associate that we are not interested in their services and that we have a "No Soliciting" sign. He still comes to our door and rolls around our neighborhood on his hoverboard. I'm not sure what else I have to do to get the company to stop knocking on my door. read more

Horrible company! Told us when they came to our door that we could schedule anytime up to 7pm at night. Was not the case! Extremely rude office staff. When we did schedule for 4-6 pm, the technician started texting my phone at 7am asking if he could come then, when I told him no, he proceeded to text me every single hour until our original appointment time. We still had bugs in between services, but it was a chore every single time to get scheduled for a time convenient for us for our bimonthly service, that I didn't want to have to schedule a service in between. Again, when I tried explaining that to them, the office staff, including the management was extremely rude. They charged us $250 to cancel. I paid on that bill monthly, and when it wasn't paid (all but $75) within 90 days, they threatened collections! For freaking pest control! DO NOT USE THEM!!! Do No Sign Agreement With This Company - We had someone come to our home early this summer and we signed a contract they agreed to treat our home - the person showed one time for 15 min in June was supposed to return in July never returned. The service was great! They got the job done and I could usually get a hold of someone quickly. I did have a bit of an issue in cancelling due to the contract I signed. Though I was aware of the number of services I'd signed up for, I had discussed the possibility of leaving the country with the original sales rep who said they would work with my unique situation. This has since become a reality. The rep I was connected to seemed determined to hold me to the contract and associated fees, constantly rebutting "we have a contract." He gave me options that were less than favorable in my situation and I ended up paying the fee. That said, Travis in management reached out VERY QUICKLY after the interaction (consistent with their ease of communication) to seek a better resolution and COMPLETELY turned my experience around! He listened to my frustration, was considerate of my situation, respected my time and helped to come up with a better solution. It seems they really do care. Terrible service. The salesman wants us to sign the agreement to subscribe to the service for a period of 18 months. He told us the wrong information that we could suspend the service any time we want if we are out of state, However, we are told that we cannot suspend the service when we call Romex to suspend the service. We have to pay 250 dollars to cancel the service before 18 months' completion. The most important thing is that we are not happy with the service. We should pay extra fees for the most frequent pests like mosquitoes and flies. For other general pests they provide, we actually do not need 18 months of regular service. read more

Prior to the contract expiring we had very little issues with Romex Pest Control. However, near the end of our service I requested the inside of the house to be sprayed. Only after several times of the appointments coming and going and no inside sprays performed. I again requested the service by leaving a voicemail on the after-hours service line. To no avail... So I called again and cancelled the contract, however the lady offered to do the interior on my final service to which I agreed. Unfortunately, this was also confusing and disorganized. I received an email stating it was an AM service. So by 12:30 PM the day of service we needed to go to work, I called to find out where the technician was. They stated that they could not get him to answer the phone! She said it was booked wrong and that it was on the schedule for an afternoon. My wife stayed home longer awaiting the service, until 4:15 PM. Just as I was calling to cancel the service the technician pulls up. The technician was nice and apologetic, but the lack of respect for the customers time was inappropriate. It is hard to completely bash a company for a single failure, but it really is frustrating. All companies should strive to be on time and to honor the contractual agreement with their customers. I was mad when writing this and really want to give them a one star review, but that would not be fair to all the other great service they provided. read more

I called to inform that I would be cancelling, they were going to charge more $ if I cancelled than if I let the last service happen. If it was handled in a respectful manner, then I wouldn't be writing this. I signed a one year contract to address spiders and outdoor bugs. This summer I had the worst spider problem,, even after my house was treated so I order a product on Amazon and after the first treatment spider were near gone.
