Dr. O'Connell is retiring she shared with us today at my son's 18 month old appointment. My boy wanted to follow her out as she closed door. He fell to the floor and cried. He is a feeler too. Believe it or not I had an iota something was up before she told us. It speaks volumes about her character that she relayed this in person. She loves what she does and even jokes that she's not sure she can stay away in retirement. I had an especially great reception at the front today. The girls were engaging and laughed at my jokes. It's the only vaccine we didn't get and it wasn't necessary. One time I called his office to ask a question. They thought they put me on hold and started making fun of me for asking how much caffeine I can have while nursing. MOST IMPORTANTLY he missed a recommendation to get a specific medical test at 2 months of age from his doctors who delivered him due to an issue he had at birth. He said the recommendation was at one year. I found out he was wrong months later. Lastly his office is sooooo depressing. His ancient metal scales made my baby roll and hit his head. All this doctor did was stress vaccines on us. Otherwise he was useless and SO so rude. I dreaded my baby's appointments because I'd have to see this guy. I'm so happy we left.

I have been seeing the pediatricians here since my 1st was born 12/2020. We mostly see dr. Zelkin, however all the doctors and the staff are absolutely phenomenal. My daughter has had some complex medical issues but Dr. Zelkin consistently provides the most compassionate, comprehensive care. Very rarely do you find a doctors office that doesn't brush off your concerns and will see you same day, sometimes even within an hour of calling. They make our family feel seen and heard and not just like a number. Referrals are done promptly and appropriately and we have never once felt rushed or like we left without clear explanations of the plan. Our family is so grateful for the care we have received and whole heartedly recommend this office.
