Hey, I wasn't shopping for a car. Had spent a whole lot of time online researching and waiting on my perfect car. Was the the perfect red even! But noticed they had a Buick Lacrosse online and I wanted my honey to feel the difference in the ride between the two. Of course I explained that to Koy, but he didn't mind. He let me drive two. No pressure, he was just as helpful as he could be. The one thing my "red" car didn't have was smooth Buick ride. (Plus the blind spot and moon roof.) They had another Lacrosse on the lot that was loaded, but I had three concerns... then David Pattie stepped outside heard what was going on and addressed the problems. Takes a lot for me to change my mind but I did. Kuddos to Koy, David, and even Randy. I am one very happy new Lacrosse owner. Just a side note. Horrible experience. I brought my 2012 Nissan rogue hoping to trade in for a new equinox. The salesman told me they couldn't accept my car because the title was still in my father's name. (I had the title present with my father's signature). Later that night I went to Hyundai and walked out with a brand new Tucson with no issues, they were able to mail my dad some documents to sign and send back. I felt like the salesman was lying about the "legal reasons" they couldn't accept the trade in. Had they been honest and said they didn't want to accept it for trade I would have been willing to purchase something and sell my rogue separately. I felt they were super dishonest and will never be getting my business. Watch out, NOT an honest dealer! read more

Here is a photo of my car. My car was located at 1 AM my the police at an employee's residence. I had to drive over an hour to get my vehicle in another county. My car was in the service department for an electrical issue when the police knocked on the door of the residents the employee said that he was test driving my vehicle to see if he fixed it. I have had no contact with Ron Carter except by the service manager John. Since posting my story on Facebook and reaching out to the news I've had multiple people reach out to me that they have also experienced the same exact thing with this dealership! Absolute worse dealership with the WORST customer service advisors. They don't give two shits about you. This is what happened in my experience.... Take my 2017 Camaro SS to them because the fuel gauge on my dash read "empty". Knew it wasn't right because I just filled it up. Thought maybe it was a defect that would be covered under warranty. Turns out my aftermarket wheels & tires rubbed a hole in the liner and rubbed the sensor, causing it to go out. WARRANTY VOIDED. Totally reasonable because it was aftermarket, I completely understood and gladly paid for the part and labor. The car was in pieces, and they put it all back together. Driving out, I heard a metal on metal scraping, and thought it had to do with the aftermarket wheels & tires. NOPE. Took the car to the shop where I got the wheels & tires from, and they reimbursed me what I paid the dealership. Awesome. The wheel & tire issue was fixed, but kept hearing the metal on metal scrapping. Turns out the fuckin tech didn't screw a bolt on all the way that was above the driveshaft, so it was just dangling against the driveshaft. Got charged $175 for another shop to find that issue. Took it BACK to Ron Carter, and basically said I'm SOL and a bs apology. Bobby said, "you couldn't tell that noise wasn't coming from that?"; No you idiot, I'm not a mechanic! They didn't not reimburse me the $175 diagnostic fee that ANOTHER SHOP found. Oh, but they at least tightened the screw.... Never going back again, especially to service advisor Bobby M. BIG "F YOU" to all of them. read more

Paid $20,000 for my car 2 weeks later I had a check engine light come on and from the very first time I called they have given me the run around I'm sure being a women they thought I didn't know to have diagnostics ran which I did by my mechanic and it showed that not only did I have 2 codes they had been erased prior to me buying it . Just say no to buying at this place my vehicle still hasn't been fixed they have done nothing but treat me like a 2nd hand citizen and out and out refuse to fix my vehicle So I will.warm everyone I can from this point on that this place does not care about their customers read more

Sold me a vehicle engine blew in 3 k miles just cost me out of my own pocket over 2,000 to replace a piston and have the head rebuilt I will never say anything good about this company or a guy named KOI that works there they also sold a warranty to me that was declined by the warranty company and these idiots told me there prorating the amount I receive back which is crap they sold me a bunch of lies and were very untruthful about everything said. I asked for the money back that it cost me in parts alone and they declined aswell kept telling me they would call me back it's been over a month and still no returned call I will never recommend this crap hole stealership to anyone I hope for worst for them read more

Zero stars! I would give negative stars if I could! Do not trade a vehicle with this dealer! I bought a brand new truck traded my SUV. I provided a detailed 10 day payoff instructions on SUV almost a month later my SUV has NOT been paid off!!! I have left voice messages, I emailed. I got one email response asking me for my 10 day payoff to which I sent immediately and reminded them they have had this information. I request status updates no responses! They processed my truck payment immediately so I now have a truck payment double my SUV payment and my SUV payment that I don't even have!!!! My bank states there's no pending payments to pay off my SUV!!! There's zero communication and respect!!! I've never had an experience purchasing a vehicle like this it's ridiculous! read more

We came in this morning to look at a new Yukon. I made an inquiry on their website to check the availability of a vehicle. Within minutes, Vanessa in their internet sales department reached out and confirmed that the vehicle we wanted to see was indeed available. After a short drive, we arrived and we were introduced to Byron who did his best to make sure we were taken care of. We took the car for a test drive and made the decision to purchase. There was some back and forth regarding dealer installed options but we were treated fairly on our trade-in and the ultimate price we paid made us feel right about the purchase. Mark in finance was very good at his job and took great care of us. Overall, this purchase was great and we will do business with them again. read more

I always take my vehicle to Ron Carter for service. I realize that I can get service done anywhere else and sometimes for less money. However, the customer service I receive at Rob Carter is what keeps me coming back. The staff are always helpful and knowledgeable. The last time I took my vehicle in, I didn't have an appointment and still got my vehicle serviced in less than the estimated time I was given. As a previous reviewer stated, I have been in before and had to wait an extensive amount of time for an oil change, even with an appointment. It's always been over an hour. However, I don't mind the wait because I trust them to take care if my vehicle. I also know that they aren't only changing the oil. They're checking all of my fluids, tire pressure, etc. and making sure everything is topped off and in working order. read more

I dropped my truck on Wednesday because I noticed the dashboard was cracking, been waiting on the service manager to coordinate with Chevrolet....apparently they have called him and left messages and he is too busy to get back with them, long story short my truck is sitting in their parking lot waiting on some service manager to approve the expenses!!! They ran our credit report three times and could never could give us specifics about our loan. I bought a 2022 camaro LT1 for 48000 dollars. I had 68 miles when they were to put on window tinting. When I got my car back it had 59 extra miles on it .I got 4 different stories from 4 different people as to where the miles came from. I wasn't told they were taking my car off the lot for the tinting. The car was dirty and they had used a1/4tank of gas.I was not happy. I think someone basically drove a car I payed for without my permission. read more

All I can say is WOW and not in a good way. Spoke on the phone with a salesperson and manager; stated we would purchase the car which was in transit. They were supposed to call once it arrived for us to purchase. No call. We called them and confirmed we wanted to buy and that the dealership doesn't do add ons beyond tint and wheel locks. Also confirmed the purchase price prior to driving up. Confirmed both of these with multiple people. Showed up to purchase and first we were told that 4 people had already attempted to purchase the car which had been on the lot "for several days." They then attempted to add $2000 in add ons. The manager refused to remove them even when asked and detailed our previous conversations. We've reported this dealership to GMC. Buyer beware! read more

I would not take my lawn mower to Ron Carter for repairs: 1) I took my diesel 2500HD in for a wheel bearing replacement under warranty. Their online scheduling system was a mess and way overbooked. At around a week, they had it ready to pick up. I got a wheel bearing replacement and some free grime and grease inside my cab for free. They did cover the rental car cost since the truck was under warranty. They missed the leaking front axle seal and loose driver side wheel bearing. They also told me verbally and issued a report on my brake pad life. The report indicated that I needed new front pads. I tore them down myself and had more than 3/4 available pad on the set as measured with a digital caliper. Brake pads are not covered by warranty - someone wanted to sell a brake job. While driving around the shop, I noted that the shop looked like hell. It was a mess - rags and trash on the floor. 2) I tried to buy a Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel from Ron Carter. They offered me $2k less for my trade-in than the average of 5 other offers/values. I bought the Jeep from a different dealer and got just over the average trade-in value. 3) I took my new Jeep in to Ron Carter for the first oil change. It took 4 hours to change the oil with an appointment. They couldn't reset the oil life indicator - 3 guys couldn't pull it off. While there they did attempt a software update on the Jeep. That jacked up my A/C unit - I had to take it back and leave it for a day to fix that. My wife picked it up after it was ready. There was more grime and greasy prints on the leather interior. She made it just out the driveway and onto 35 and the tire air pressure light came on. She took it to a tire shop just down the road about 2 miles. Industrial razor blade lodged in the tire. It was the type of razor used to remove inspection stickers. $230 and change to replace a tire with 8k miles on it. Three consistently poor experiences are not isolated events. read more

I want this dealership to take my used car back and give me something else. I purchased a used hummer about 4-5 months ago. The day after I purchased it, the oil light came on along with the dinging sound that comes along with it. As of yesterday, it has now been back in the shop 4 times for the very same issue. One time for over a month. They have replaced the sensor twice....not sure when they are going to get the message that it is something making the sensor not work properly. I am ready to tell them to take it back. I am so very frustrated. The managers never return calls, service never picks up the phone, and my 17 yo daughter can not use a vehicle that I am paying for. About ready to contact my lawyer to get a full refund. read more

I'm very pleased with the warranty service on my CTS. The young man that helped us was great, a real asset to Ron Carter. He called every day, gave me all the information and what to expect, I will seek him out when I have any other issues with my CTS. they went above and beyond and in a timely manner with my warranty repairs, I will definitely be using them in the future (had previously used David Taylor and since their SW Fwy local closed, I went to Alvin, and so glad I did!!) no to mention I've never seen my CTS look prettier when they cleaned it when the service was completed. read more

Wasted 2hrs round trip drive and 3hrs of vacation because of their lies. Do not believe their trade value they show you on their website its false. Instead of the $46,000 fore trade they really offered $25,000 (big difference). It would be nice to get a real ball park on their website and sales folks on the phone. My truck is a one owner, garage kept, driven less than 5,800 miles annually and in mint condition. I called 2hrs before I left work to verify the truck I was wanting to buy was on the lot. When I got there they admitted the truck I came for was not there but they had some more expensive trucks available (go figure). SERVICE COMPLAINT! SAD... SAD... SAD... that Ron Carter Alvin (GMC) DOES NOT know how to address walk in (drive-in really,..) customers who choose or prefer to not make appointments. Making appointments are not required or mandatory, I know.., because I do this all of the time at Beck and Masten South, and I'm sitting at Sterling McCall GMC RIGHT NOW as I type this review. Whether or not I make an appointment should not equate to a customer being PUNISHED and told that their car wouldn't be ready until noon approximately, when I was the 3rd car to pull in/up, and it was 7:00 AM! Your dealership is feckless, useless, and not customer friendly. Customers do not have to work within parameters you set, or around your scheduling system, PERIOD! I have not had to do this at any other GMC dealerships from Houston to Miami...that are JUST AS massive with multiple brands, and I don't plan to start now! There's a reason that I've not really been back there since purchasing my vehicle almost 4 years ago, aside from it being out of the way to get to, it has everything to do with receiving poor service from your service department. Truthfully, the only reason I went out of my way to go there today, is because your deal for my vehicle's 30K mile check-up was far better than your nearest competitor, but, I only needed to search a little harder before reaching a service rep that offered a competitive price, and a loaner car. The first service tech who called himself helping, seemed flustered and a little irritated when I told him that I did not have an appointment, So much so, that a different person came out the second time and indicated that it would take a couple of hours, and that I should be done by noon. I pointed out repeatedly that I had no problem waiting a couple of hours (as a matter of fact, I rather expected that, given the nature of why I was there... for a major check up), but a couple of hours would be 9:00 AM, N O T 12:00 NOON!!! Even after speaking with the so called service manager today to complain about having been told that I'd be there at least until noon (again, when I'd arrived at 7:00 AM precisely), when I was the 3rd car in line, he tried to claim that he had 39 vehicles "in the back", and 29 "that had appointments" already. Well.... If I arrived as the 3rd person in line, where were all of those who had appointments? As for the so called 39 vehicles "in the back", that was a BS excuse, as I'm sure a different set of mechanics would be the ones to work on those vehicles, which were probably a part of your fleet. Not only that, I perceive that excuse to be something that you tell paying customers in hopes that they buy into that, I don't. Why would I agree to sit and wait for 5 hours? It is non-sensible. I was not even offered a ride to go someplace else... a service that you supposedly offer. The manager did offer to "make me an appointment" if I chose to return. That $@%# was laughable. Do you really think I'd drive almost 25 miles to return to that dealership after being treated so poorly? That's a narcissistic notion. Customers are the reason that you are in business. Too bad your employees have an inability to recognize this! I took the service sheet with price (that I'd requested) and headed for your competitors. I am BIG on customer service, and a little customer service goes a long long way! Unacceptable: took a day off work to get my two year old service engine light checked.. after four hours I was told that it was a part they needed to order but I'd have to wait a week. M'ok, but then was informed I'd have to make an appointment. Thinking I could at least salvage half a day, I made the appt. for 8:00AM. Fine, always ahead of time I showed up at 7:30 . I waited, and waited until 8:30 after they finally got their impotent computers up, I was told they don't like to take the scheduler's clients (even though there were four of them standing around). Well where was she I balked. They didn't know, They did call her and told me she'd be a little late. Yeah, 9:30 late, an hour and a half after my scheduled appointment. Got out of there at 1:00. If any of you know anything about cars please tell me why it takes four hours to replace an evaporator valve that looks to be the size of a walnut. Big fun! read more

I made an attempt to schedule an oil change. I literally could not get through to an actual human being, except the operator. She was nice enough and seemed embarrassed about the situation. I asked that she give the service manager my information and have her call me. Two days later, after hearing nothing from them, I again attempted to schedule an oil change. AGAIN I could not reach ANYONE in the service department. Once again I asked the operator to have the service manager call me. A little while later the service manager called me. She told me that she hadn't called me because I had not left her a voice mail and that she was busy. Ron Carter used to be friendly and helpful. I've bought numerous vehicles from them over the years. I guess they've transformed from a small town, friendly dealership to a big business, that is too busy for the individual customer. They have no sense of urgency. Besides their horrible service, the sales dept is a joke too. I went to buy a used car and the sales guy was totally rude. My husband and I had been shopping for an automobile and we decided to give them a try. However as it turned out they turned out to be very shady! I was so hoping for better for just once out of a dealership. We were preapproved for our loan prior to going in. We spent a total of 6 hours at the dealership minus the hour to pick out our automobile. Paperwork took a total of 15 minutes. We asked to sell our automobile and put 0 dollars down and they did that. Needless to say our money that was owed after our loan was paid off was never returned. When I called to ask about it is when the words really started to get changed and everything got real shady! Needless to say we are out our money that was owed! I wont be going back to buy another automobile from these guys. I feel sad that the salesman Devin is getting a bad rap but he is the one who put our proposal through to them! read more

Although I hate to admit it, I am a very difficult person to make happy. I love new vehicles and tend to buy one every 2-3 years and I have always come back to Ron Carter because of the great customer service. I bought my first car from Ron Carter in 1988 and still always find myself right back at this dealership, when I get the itch for a new ride. Steve Wiese is absolutely the most wonderful salesman. He put up with all my phone calls and emails and was also so very nice and understanding. I am his customer for life...whether he wants me or not. This is the best place to buy a vehicle. After it taking almost a week to get an appointment. I got my truck in for A/C it took them a week for them to even get to it. But I also had a problem with my rims peeling they refused to help at all with the replacement of my rims. They said I was 2,000 miles over the mfg warranty but I bought the extended warranty and they still refused to replace or even discount the replacement of the rims. After spending over 50,000 on my 2013 Tahoe that I have only had 6 months. I will not be brining my truck back to them for my warranty work. read more
