This venue is quite crowded as there is always 3 games going on at the same time and by time they are finished another team is ready to start. Lighting is pretty good during the evening games. Parking is a madhouse. Do arrive early so that you can find parking and not be late to the game!

I've been coming to Pine Avenue Community Park for well over a decade and have watched its steady…read moredecline as far as the children's playground is concerned. The bouncy poured-in-place turf has become suspiciously marred and discolored in places where it looks like greasy liquid has been poured and tire marks have scuffed it permanently. The play equipment is faded, chipped and sun-damaged. While standing on the playground to keep a close eye on the kids, I often am smacked in the face by whiffs of urine coming from the surrounding landscaping where the community of unhoused individuals who have seemingly taken up permanent residence on the outskirts of the park do their business. Today I was there with my child and there was a city summer camp in full swing with probably 50 kids running around, and there were several of these individuals in close proximity. I worry about the safety of the location, especially of a summer camp program being monitored by a handful of teenagers. It's a shame the city isn't doing much to maintain the quality of this playground, and hope they realize its need for a major upgrade soon so it doesn't fall into further disrepair. Adding some security to patrol at least during the daytime wouldn't hurt, either.

Grounds were clean, plenty of trash cans, recycle bins, and even a compost bin (nice touch). Plenty of E-bike hooligans doing their shenanigans on the sidewalk and on the curbs, but other than that, seems like a nice local park for people to enjoy.

If you don't take a cart or rent a little dolly, you will be in for great exercise as there are plenty of hills to go up and down as you trek through the course. There is a water station that has reverse osmosis water near the check-in station. The driving range has a good amount of stations. Cons: parking here can get crowded very quickly. I came here on a Sunday afternoon and had to park in the dirt patch next to the parking lot as it was way too full. Not necessarily a huge con, but a lot of other golfers brought their dogs with them on the course which is fine but could be a hazard for other people driving their golf carts. Nothing too crazy here. Verdict: you're very challenging course, but this course is very fun. I spent around $80 to play here which is a bit on the expensive side but could be worth it if you get Sunset hours or maybe during a different season. I'd recommend other people to come here if they want to challenge themselves at golf.

First event, Simone Biles, first game, Clippers, first concert Cake. This was our 2nd VIP experience, we had a reserved table at The Pala Starlite Patio to watch the 3rd of July Spectacular. There was live music, specialty cocktails and raffles. One food kiosk was open for Tanner's Burgers and snacks. It provided a wonderful elevated viewing platform. We enjoyed the Oceanside drone and fireworks to celebrate this special year. This was our first drone show. We preferred it and chose to go out this night prior to the 4th fireworks show at our home. Personally, I think it's a fair trade-off, especially considering everything the arena offers. The food options are surprisingly good for an event venue. The smash burgers are delicious, and the steak nachos are hands-down my favorite. They also offer a good selection of alcoholic beverages for those who want to enjoy a drink while watching a game or concert. What really stands out is the variety of events. From hockey, indoor football, soccer, and basketball to concerts and family entertainment, there's always something happening. The atmosphere is energetic, fun, and welcoming every time we've visited. One of the best things Frontwave Arena does is offer free tickets to many of their sporting events for local families through promotions on their Instagram page. Follow them and keep an eye out! Now, it is downtown Oceanside, so fair warning: the bathrooms are often locked, and you'll occasionally see someone homeless or collecting cans around the trash. But, hey... that's just part of the charm . At the end of the day, it's still a local ballpark where core memories are being made, and I'm grateful for that.

With all youth leagues, there will always be parents that disagree with the way things are run or the way the volunteer coach runs the team. As it got closer to the start time the gym filled up nicely. There was a lot of energy in the crowd and the staff at the event were very friendly. With a 6 year old son I didn't know if this would be ok for him but I was wrong. All of the wrestlers interacted with the crowd and all of the kids. My son was beaming because of how close he was to the action and all of the interaction he had with the wrestlers. This is a very family friendly event and as someone who has attended many WWE events this was just as fun if not more. The wrestlers all work hard and put on a great show. The crowd is usually really into it and the other fans are friendly and love to chat with each other. There's a small snack bar with sodas, candy, hot dogs, nachos, and snow cones! The prices are nothing like you'd find in a big arena or stadium. Drinks are only a buck and I don't think anything else is more than $2 or $3! They also have a merchandise table that sells DVDs of their past shows, wrestler merch, tshirts and luchadore masks. The kids love it & it's much cheaper than you'd find at a WWE show or the mall. Finally, the wrestlers work really hard to put on an exciting show and seem to have a great time interacting with the fans weather they are the heel or the babyface. There's really not much else family entertainment wise in SD county that compare. There's certainly no other independent wrestling organizations that offer what SoCal Pro does at such an affordable price.
