We've had a few dental emergencies over the years too and they are fantastic with getting you in as fast as possible. When I chipped my front tooth I called at 1:00pm and they got me in at 2:30pm the same day. If you are looking for a dentist they are great. As far as I know, They take all dental insurance but are also great about answering questions over the phone anytime I've needed them.

Each room is set up like a pretty standard dental office, very clean. On my first visit, they told me they like to do a full set of x-rays just to get an idea of what my teeth are like overall, but my insurance didn't cover for a full set. So they told me they will still do the full x-ray set, but just write it as whatever my insurance will cover, and they will cover the remaining cost. How great is that?!? The staff is wonderful and courteous, also very punctual. I'm never waiting in the waiting room for more than 5 minutes. The cleanings are done nice and quickly, I'm in and out in less than an hour. Dr. Vaandehaar is great! He always makes suggestions for me to consider, but is never pushy about getting anything done that isn't absolutely necessary. For example, when I had a cavity, he obviously strongly recommended that I take care of it asap. But when it came to some preventative things, he told me what was going on, and what some options are and said it's something to think about. The only complaint that I have is, they do send A LOT of appointment reminders via email and text, multiple times leading up to your appointment. Yes, you can totally opt out of it, so I guess this is really on me. Also, TDC is the only place that staff actually came in and sang happy birthday to me during my cleaning. It was so sweet! By far the best dental office I've been to. Highly recommended. (And I'm not just saying that because of the singing)

She answered all my questions regarding my appointment and even scheduled it for me. The next day I received a call from the office to confirm my appointment and to make sure I didn't have any additional questions. On appointment day the staff was very friendly and prompt. My hygienist was thorough and gentle and answer the 101 questions I had about next steps with my dental health. My experience was great! I went to this dentist office for the 1st time today and had a very bad deceiving, insurance…read morescamming, muniplitive, no integrity, lying about the service getting done. I dont advice anyone to go here. when everyone is smiling and welcoming you in its a red flag. I set up an appointment with this dentist for a speciic thing a (tooth filling) i needed. I called them to ask if i needed anything extra to bring and was infomed to just bring my id. Red flag 2 they didnt even ask for my insurance card and i had never been their before. I was very adamant about needing that service and that was the nature of my visit. I checked in did some paper work and again stated the nature for my visit and stated if i couldnt get my tooth filled then i wouldn't want any of their services and i would find another dentist. I also stated this on my phone call. I was informed in order to find out what i could get done i had to get some xrays done. I went forward with that procedure. The Dentist came in after the xrays looked in my mouth and stated i could get the cavities filled but she wanted to do a deep cleaning before she did the cavities. I dont even know if you need a deep cleaning just to get a tooth filled but this is what she stated. I agreed, but before going forward she stated someone else would come in and go over what all i was getting done. I knew this was going to be someone who handles the money's involved cause this is how they always do. EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE YOUR INSURANCE ALREADY CHECKED IF YOU ARE COVERED BUT BE SEEKING TO FIND OUT WHAT MONEY THEY CAN GET FROM YOU OUT OF POCKET. WELL HERE COMES MIKE THE RECEPTION GUY. He proceeds to tell me everything is covered except the fillings. Telling me the insurance is only going to cover some of the 3 small fillings i need to get done. I HAVE A MAX OF 4,000 TO SPEND ON DENTAL., but this is what he tells me. that didnt sit well and i informed him i would call the insurance. He then says they have financing if it was an issue to pay. Now listen I have 4,000 to use on dental. When. i said i need a moment to clarify this with the insurance he then decides to tell me i need to make a decison or the girl will not be able to clean my teeth, now granted i didn come their for a teeth cleaning at all. I got up went out side called the insurance and was informed all of my fillings i needed were covered 100%. The isurance wanted to speak with them. (Mike called the represenative a liar) and stated they say that all the time. They were actually trying to extort money out of pocket from me that was not needed. My services were covered 100% when i refused to give them cash money they then canceled my dental work. THIS IS BLATANT DECEPTION. I DO NOT RECCOMEND A DENTIST OFFICE OR ITS STAFF LIKE THIS TO ANYONE ONE. I don't even know where to begin, this was truly a 10/10 experience…read more I came in for an emergency dental visit, and they took me in immediately, no hassle, no runaround. Even though the office was clearly busy, I never once felt rushed or like just another patient on a list. The entire team was incredibly attentive and genuinely focused on making sure I was comfortable and okay. I ended up needing a crown, and they handled everything right then and there, no temporary fix, no waiting weeks for a crown. The fact that they were able to complete the entire procedure on the spot was impressive on its own, but what stood out even more was the quality of the work and the care behind it. Jackie and Dr. Rob were exceptional. They walked me through everything, made sure I felt at ease, and checked in constantly throughout the process. For something that could have been stressful, they made it seamless. I'm beyond grateful for the level of professionalism, efficiency, and compassion I experienced. Couldn't recommend them more. I have very complicated TMJ jaw issues and I saw Dr. Hoffman because he came up online as someone…read morewho specializes in TMJ problems. After two visits, I would NOT recommend going here if you have complex jaw issues. My issue is that my discs are displaced and locked, not just that my muscles are sore bc of clenching and griding. Went I first saw Dr. Hoffman, he recommended botox in my masseters and temples. He also recommended a repositioning split. The bill that I was given at that appointment included both the botox and the fitting for the splint which was done at the follow up appointment two weeks later. This was well over $1k. At my follow up appointment, the fitting for the splint took only about 30 seconds which I found concerning. Then i got the price for the splint which was $4k. I did not feel comfortable paying this after a 30 second measurement, so I decided to get a second opinion before moving forward. He also told me that he has only treated this in 5% or less of his patients. Overall, I am very unhappy with my experience here. I felt pressured into spending over $1000 on something that was totally unnecessary. I wish he would have been upfront and honest about his ability to treat my issue and recommended that I go somewhere that is more specialized in TMJ problems.

I went to Brighter Dental of Old Town for a temporary crown after my previous crown cracked and…read morefell out. Before the appointment, Seida repeatedly assured me the office would submit a pre-estimate to insurance and only charge me my patient responsibility amount. After multiple calls with my insurance company, it was discovered Brighter Dental had been faxing the paperwork to the wrong number. The issue was finally corrected during a conference call with insurance and the office. Despite the pre-estimate being approved before my appointment, I was told by Seida and Luca that I had to pay the full amount upfront or they would not proceed. Seida claimed no memory of the aforementioned conference call, and I had no choice but to pay or remain untreated and in pain. At my follow-up appointment, insurance had already paid the claim electronically, but the office delayed reimbursing the overpayment and gave conflicting timelines for a refund. They also refused to refund the original credit card and insisted on mailing a check instead. After repeated vague promises and no reimbursement, I was forced to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Due to their refusal to honor the insurance allowed amounts, I overpaid by several hundred dollars. I later received a threatening letter accusing me of fraud because of the charge dispute, even though the office had still not refunded the overpayment at the time of the dispute. This was a disturbing experience.
