The nice thing about New Brighton Family Dentistry is that they offer a package for customers who don't have insurance, which I really appreciated. I think I saved an overall $200 dollars on my visit! During this visit the staff were amazing and so patient with me: the women to run the reception area, the dental hygienist that cleaned my teeth, the radiologist who took X-rays, and finally, Dr. Grayson! During that visit they ended up fining a cavity and wrote me up a treatment plan with all costs included. This was great because it helped me to plan in advance for the procedures. Dr. Grayson was very gentle when administering the novacaine and drilling on my teeth! Another thing that I liked was how they use a tooth colored filling! In addition, I've always been interested in getting Invisalign, and Dr. Grayson was willing to sit down with me and talk about ALL of my concerns. Overall, I love this clinic. I think that the staff are hospitable, friendly, and most importantly, honest. All of their pricing is clear and they impose no pressure on their patients to proceed with a treatment. I'm about to start my Invisalign treatment under the guidance of Dr. Grayson. I am confident that it will be a smooth process and that we will have positive outcomes all together! We met with the Dr. O and his team, discussed my daughter case, and they were clear that she does not need to come back into the office. The Dentist planned out how my daughter will be scheduled at the surgery center at Children's Hospital and his team will reach out to me to schedule a date and time. We met in February, I was told the only earliest and available appointment at the surgery center will be at the end of July 2025. I was okay with it, just wanted my daughter to get the proper treatment asap. In April of 2025, I received a phone call to confirm the appointment at the surgery center at Children's Hospital via patient portal and confirmation by phone with his staff. I received a scheduled document of what to expect and time surgery takes place, time I should bring her in prior the surgery time. We waited for this day, she missed out on her last day of school, I missed work, and the surgery center told us my daughter was not scheduled to complete any procedure. I showed them the scheduled letter I received from her dental office. They recommended me to call my pediatric dentist office. I called the dental office, asking them about our appointment at the surgery center. The receptionist, "Kenzie" told me the appointment was under "pending," because I never confirmed with them since I took my daughter in February. I specifically told them their staff called me to confirm the date and time after our face-to-face appointment in the spring. Kenzie looked back to the last communication they had with me, told me "Yes, looks like someone called you in April about the appointment." She then said she can look and see if their is any "emergency surgery" appointment available, then said, " Well, looks like there is nothing open." I requested for the dentist or owner to call me back as my time was wasted, my daughter's condition is worsening as days go by. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL dentist and facility!!!! DON'T RECOMMENDED to NO FAMILIES! They are rude, especially the dentist calling back to put the blame back at me, repeating " I have not communicated and confirmed!" Dr. "O," and his unprofessionalism, does not look into solving the problem as trying to reschedule another appointment or apologize to how long they made us waited, instead he only wants me to go through my call log to make sure they are the one who called me! Excused me! As a parent who waited for a year for this referral, 5 MONTHS for this appointment, this is the only clinic we have visited since February 2025 and planned out her appointment to happen this July. I am not here to pick fight with the unprofessional who thinks he has a case to fight; I too work in the health industry as well, who his advocating for my child's wellbeing and had trusted in your plan of care for my child. Dr. O, owner of your own business, if you are really here for your community and care for children's dental health as much as you addressed on your core values of your company, PERFORM! Your actions and professionalism are narcissistic; I do not recommend this dentistry to no community; this dentistry has NO RESPECT, NO PROFESSIONALISM, NO DIGNIFIED CARE & COMPASSION at their job and work! Reading the reviews, I see this is a pattern for this dental practice. I came in as a new patient for a routine cleaning since I've just moved to the area. I was really excited to establish care here since it's close to me. I also was happy to have a lady doctor. My insurance is kicking in on February 1 so I wasn't open to any extra services quite yet. I just wanted to establish care, get a good exam and above all, a cleaning! I had made my insurance situation clear when I made the appointment and again with the assisting staff. Also, I didn't actually need more X-rays as I have them from my previous dentist, but they insisted. After all that, the dentist gave me a hard sell on 4 quadrant deep cleaning and a new crown (which I did need), but not on that day ... I didn't want to pay out of pocket given my insurance would be kicking in soon. My dentist was visibly upset that I didn't sign the expensive out-of-pocket treatment plan on the spot. She then spent maybe 5 minutes cleaning my teeth. Terrible vibe and a waste of time as I have to now schedule an actual cleaning somewhere else. What a disappointment. I think the dentists must have a sales quota. I will be reporting them to the BBB, the city and various licensing associations.
