My friends came into town for my 60th birthday, and one morning we stopped in for breakfast. We all…read moreordered the chicken and waffles, and from the very first bite, we were hooked. That fried chicken took us all the way back. We're old school, and that's exactly how fried chicken is supposed to taste--perfectly seasoned, incredibly flavorful, juicy on the inside, and fried to a golden, crispy crunch. It was absolutely phenomenal. The waffles were just as impressive--light, flavorful, and cooked to perfection with an amazing texture. Every bite was on point. The experience was so good that I knew I had to bring my husband back because he's a huge chicken and waffles fan. It was his first time there, and without fail, he had the exact same reaction. From the first bite, he was sold. He absolutely loved it. When a restaurant delivers that kind of quality to an entire group and then exceeds expectations again on a return visit, you know it's the real deal. From the food to the service, it was an easy 5-star experience. We'll definitely be back!

However, we ordered the Sausage Biscuits & Gravy and Dominic Bowl with Kielbasa and kids pancake. My husband said the biscuits and gravy was more like gravy soup with a couple biscuits included. He was disappointed. The Dominic bowl was dry. The kielbasa was very good but that's it. Our son could barely eat his pancake.

The show was amazing per usual the performers really give it their all. Definitely check out the burlesque show starring Bella Sin. there was a local artist selling her art as you came in. I bought quite a few pieces, glitter and Snark. Check out her artwork they're hilarious and adorable.

I had visited the downstairs record store a few years ago, but this was the first time I went into…read morethe theater for a show. It's a nice old place with a flat floor and a raised stage. The view is okay, unless you're sitting behind a tall person... which is exactly what happened. I was enjoying the show for about twenty minutes, when suddenly a REALLY tall guy plopped down right in front of me, completely blocking my view. Don't understand why; there were plenty of other empty seats. So I moved (not the last time.) I saw the band 15-60-75, and their movie, and the sound was clear and balanced for both. However, this evening, there was a major problem. They had the theater as cold as a meat freezer (it was a pleasant June evening.) It was all anyone could talk about. We left at the first (film) intermission, because the ambiance was unbearable! Was the movie any good? I have no idea, I was just thinking about trying to get warm! If I ever go back to the Beachland, I'll be sure to wear a winter coat, gloves, earmuffs and a scarf. Even if it's the middle of summer.
