Came here for a Sunday breakfast with 5 adults and one child. They were very busy! They seated us quickly. The team here were definitely hustling. I say Team, because they all were working together! The hostess, server, people getting food to the tables! Such a great environment! You truly feel appreciated as a customer! The food was really good and the portions - plan to take a box home! The Oreo pancakes were balanced and not too sweet. The cannoli pancake is VERY rich and I'd recommend sharing it! Indulgent and great for a celebration! The grits were yummy and I ended up taking the home fries home! Hahaha. My only critique, is that while the coffee was flowing, it was a tad on the bitter side. Still an ok cup of coffee! We liked it so much, we came back a week later with other people! We've told multiple people who were looking for a place to go for breakfast to definitely come here! What a pleasant find. I was born in Euclid 57 years ago and was in town for business. Needed a place to charge my car and this restaurant was in the parking lot. Had never heard of it before but from the reviews and the menu I decided to try it out. First of all, fantastic service. Second of all, it was packed, which tells me everybody else thinks it's great as well. We ordered a combination appetizer platter as well as a Philly cheesesteak quesadilla appetizer, which honestly was so stinking good! Then I had a meatloaf meal with a side of a potato pancake, which was pretty amazing. Top it off with an amazing carrot cake that they had brought in from a place called slice downtown. My favorite place was a diner where the food is good, specials different, and the help is happy! As I entered Petie's the manager immediately "hello 1 for here??" Huge smile. It was close to closing and I felt totally welcomed. "To go please" she was joking with her employees, some were cut and sitting waiting for their rides laughing. I can tell you that's management! I recently moved to this neighborhood and I could not be more thrilled to stumble across Petie's. The decor is delightful. It just shows how much attention to detail the owners have. Menu is phenomenal. It's eclectic, just like the patrons. I've eaten here 3 times at different times and have loved each item. The staff are what really make this place amazing. They are upbeat and charming, and incredibly thorough. One meal there was a miscommunication with myself and the server and she was extremely quick to just make it right, no hesitation. First time here, amazed by how big the staff is in a time when restaurant help is close to skeleton crews. Menu was large but the three of us decided to get breakfast and it was a great choice. Bacon (6 slices) eggs, home fries and toast cooked to perfection. Service staff was like an ant farm, people moving around taking and bringing orders, bussing tables, hosting, cleaning and cooking. My daughter and I stopped in for lunch. She ordered the chicken tenders and fries. The chicken was a HUGE serving that could've fed a family of four and it met her incredible standards for chicken, which rarely EVER happens! (Texture is her thing, and if the chicken is too stringy or there's a tendon or anything less than perfection, she WON'T eat it LOL) I had a house salad with a turkey sandwich, which came with avocado and cheddar. The salad was only $3 and so much bigger than I expected with a mix of lettuces, fresh shredded mozzarella, cucumbers and large slices of tomato! The sandwich was grilled, so the bread was perfectly crispy along the edges, the cheese was melted, the turkey was thick and didn't have that "lunch meat" look or taste, and it came with homemade chips. The service was attentive, and even though it's a diner (which I LOVE), it didn't really FEEL like a diner to us. Fantastic service!!! We went her for breakfast twice during our visit and had the same waitress. She remembered us and was very kind and attentive. Never had to ask for more water or coffee. I had the pancakes combo both days - blueberry-banana-granola the first day and cinnamon swirl the second day. Noth excellent!! The combo adds scrambled eggs and bacon. The portions are huge - couldn't finish it either morning. The others had French Toast and a scramble and enjoyed them very much! We will definitely return if in the area! read more

Lots of eggs and potatoes.y partner got the breakfast sandwich and switched out the croissant for an English muffin. It was huge portion and again tons of potatoes. They were very good! They have flavored coffees that were good! They also have various mimosas. All looked good. They also had some good looking desserts but we didn't try. The dining room is large. Staff is running around. Our server started out a bit gruff but seemed to warm up throughout our stay. She was working hard. In a strip plaza between giant eagle on 1 end and Marc's on the other. We hadn't been to Petie's since the covid shutdown and we're excited to go there again for breakfast this morning since we'd always enjoyed eating there. Such a disappointment! The food was meh - very bland and unseasoned. The homefries seemed to be just plain shredded potatoes - no onions, no salt or pepper - not even a hint of cooking oil - just hot shredded potatoes with the tiniest hint of crispiness. The omelet was slightly better only because it had a lot of vegetables but again not a hint of seasoning. The grits were bland and had a pasty texture and the coffee tasted burnt. SO disappointed. Would have sent it back but we had to be somewhere in a short while so couldn't stick around. Even the rye toast was disappointing - square sandwich rye rather that the crispy crust of true deli rye. It is inconspicuously located right next to Giant Eagle at Shoregate Shopping Center. When I walked in I was promptly greeted and seated at a booth. The menu is expansive and offers a wide assortment of breakfast favorites such as eggs, omlettes, pancakes, waffles, French Toast, and many more. My server was attentive and friendly. I opted for a vegetarian omelette with egg whites substituted for whole eggs. Within about 15 minutes my food arrived; the omelette came with a side of home fries and buttered wheat toast. Got a county omelet and monte cristo sandwich by phone. Was called on two separate occasions while waiting for my orderand told after 2pm no sausage gravy (part of the omelet) and no oats as a side either. When I picked up my order magically I had a county omelet with sausage gravy and oats for a side. Poor training or communication skills or both. The omelet was absolutely huge but had no real flavor- it was definitely a poured scrambled egg premix and nothing freshly cracked. We recently visited Peties after a hiatus (I moved out of the area 9 years ago). The food was still as delicious as ever! A great brunch with a waffle covered in strawberries, home fries, and coffee. Service was attentive and food was delivered quickly. The decor was updated but the layout was still the same. TVs playing TBS which had episodes of Seinfeld and also listed as a Pokestop (for any Pokémon Go players). The restaurant is consistently busy but never seems crowded. She got the prime rib dinner that came with fresh bread, soup, salad and mashed potatoes. It was cooked to her well done wish without being dried out. It was so good that we ordered an additional prime rib dinner to go! I ordered the eggplant Parmesan dinner with pasta, soup, salad and rice pudding. The eggplant cutlets were crispy and flavorful which is a nice change from the usual soggy mess I receive from other places. You get a lot of bang for your buck there! And they have a beautiful, drool worthy dessert case at the front counter. Lots of cakes and cheesecakes in there, but you can pretend that they're just faux plastic foods if you're on a diet. Best hidden secret that I'm going to share with you. Right next to Giant Eagle in Willowick why is an unassuming strip mall restaurant. I've never given it a second thought until a friend from out of town visited it for lunch one day and then went back the next morning for breakfast! The place is about twice the size you think it is as soon as you walk in. It's decorated very nicely clean and well lit. All the servers are in uniform and none of the booths or seats appear to have major wear. It is a high value for your dollar meal establishment. I chose the Santa Fe Bowl which was rice chicken black beans guacamole Pico and comes with a bowl of soup in a very large side salad beforehand. I seriously probably should have stopped with just the soup and salad. The Italian wedding soup was actually a little saltier than I like. My friend got breakfast for lunch he got pancakes with the sausages are cooked right into the pancakes and it has bacon and eggs on top of the pancakes. It was ridiculously portioned meal it was way more than he could have finished. I'm a big guy and I could not finish my Santa Fe Chicken Bowl. The Breakfast Platter he ate was $9.95 my Mia was 1295. It was a little bit on the pricey side but you better be hungry if you go in this place. Also is a side note I generally judge the cleanliness of restaurants by how clean the restrooms are. Went for dinner last night and was not disappointed. I had the Italian burger which was delicious. The burger came with house made chips. The burger itself was a half pound. It had mozzarella cheese, green peppers, onions, and Italian sausage on it. It also had lettuce, and tomato. It came with pickles and house made chips. The burger was cooked well and absolutely delicious. The house made chips were superb and not salty. My wife had the french dip which she enjoyed which also came with house made chips. We each also ordered a house salad. The salad tasted great and was fresh. My son had the chocolate chip pancakes, because who wants chicken tenders when you can have pancakes.
