I liked the service guy but here is the problem: I have a Samsung fridge which is known for freezing up and causing the fridge to stop cooling. My issue is honesty. I didn't mind paying the $65 service fee but $125 labor charge for 5 minutes worth of work and no parts replaced was excessive for something we probably fixed by unplugging it for 2 days. read more

We've used Ron's twice in the past and have been happy with the service. Only now, that we've received terrible service did I start to read reviews and experience exactly what the 1 star reviews are referring to. This past Saturday, our dishwasher broke so we called Ron's, knowing they are not open on weekends. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a text from Ron the next day (Sunday) advising someone would contact us Monday morning. By mid-morning on Monday we had not heard so I called and Ron answered. I explained our issue and asked when a tech could be sent to diagnose/fix the machine, or tell us it was "shot". Just like in the 1 star reviews, Ron sounded annoyed that we called and followed up. He was not rude per se, but certainly "short"...definitely sounded like he was being bothered. Anyway, he said someone would come by that day between 3p - 5p. I was thrilled to hear we would get such fast service, BUT explained both my wife and I had appointments between 3p-4p. He said the repairman would call us and we would speak directly with him. The repairman did call around 1pm and said he'd be here at 4pm. We explained we'd be out and he said he'd be here by 2pm. I figured that would be fine because he likely would need to diagnose the issue and order parts so the repair likely wouldn't be complete, but at least the process would be underway. 2pm came/went....no repairman and wife and I left for our appointments, but we were back shortly after 4pm. Using caller ID, we called the repairman and asked when he was coming. His reply: "I'm not coming today, I just finished a job and am too far away." No apology. Nothing even close, but he said we would be his 1st appointment today/Thursday, 8/28/2025. That's when I started reading these reviews. I wanted to cancel and call another company, but wife wanted to give them a chance since they did good by us in the past. So, here we are on Thursday and finally, at 11am, we call him and ask when is his approximate arrival time. He said he wasn't coming today, now he will come tomorrow morning....like this is all we have to do is wait for him. We told him, don't bother, YOUR FIRED! I called a friend who recently had their dishwasher repaired and who raved about their guy. He gave me his contact info. I called and this guy was soooo nice and patient. I told him when we turn on the dishwasher, immediately it sounds like someone is inside banging to get out. I turned it on with the phone on Speaker so he could hear it. He was immediately able to tell me the dishwasher would cost more to repair in parts/labor than it was worth since it was already almost 10 years old. He didn't rush us off the phone, he recommended certain brands over others. He doesn't sell appliances so there was nothing for him to gain, except our future business...which he will get. We are done with Ron's and I advise everyone reading this to go elsewhere read more

Would not recommend. I contacted Rons Appliance to fix the washer at my business. They sent Dan, who after a few minutes told me it wasn't worth fixing but offered to sell me a used washer for $500 with delivery the next day. He claimed it was in great shape and came from his daughter's house. I agreed. The next day, no show from Rons Appliance. After many calls and texts, Dan finally responded, saying he had a death in the family and would deliver the washer a week later. Totally understandable, things happen. He finally brought the washer and offered a 90-day warranty. The washer started leaking the very next day. I contacted Dan and Rons Appliance multiple times, but received no response. It took weeks for him to respond. He gave anither story claiming to have been hurt on the job but said hed come look at it the next day. Next day, no rons appliance or dan. After chasing him again, he finally stopped in and said that we are using too much soap, and to call if it kept leaking (we use one tide pod) Naturally, it continued leaking and eventually flooded our kitchen, also making loud banging noises every time it turned on. We had to call Star Appliance out to see what the issue is. Suprisingly, Dan then called back, angry that I called another company, claiming I had a warranty. He promised to come the next day but once again, he ghosted us. After calling Rons appliance several more times trying to reach Dan. The owner said they dont sell appliances so he doesnt believe me. I have plenty of call logs and text exchanges to support this but Rons Appliance refuses to help. I ended up having Star appliance fix the issues but the whole experience has been a headache. What kind of company doesnt stand behind the work their employees do? Save yourself the trouble, go with honest, reputable companies. Rons Appliance is terrible. The absolute worst. read more

HORRIBLE!!!! What a terrible experience with Ron's Appliance. They have serviced me before with no issues so I had no reason to doubt their service. After a month from my first service call, $600 later, and countless EXCUSES my oven still DOES NOT WORK. I was told technician Dan wasn't able to come because he had a funeral, then he had back problems, then his phone was broken, then he had physical therapy, now he has broken ribs and I am asked to be patient and understanding.....it is like dealing with a CHILD. I call and speak to the owner Ron who simply shrugs it off, "that's the way Dan is". I was not offered another technician and I made myself available for any time slot. Completely DISORGANIZED, NO COMMUNICATION, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE and I have NO TRUST in them to service my Appliance. At this point, I will take my financial and time loss and go with another company and never use Ron's again. read more

We needed our dryer looked at because it wasn't drying everything even though we hired another company in June, 5 months ago, to do our 2 yr vent cleaning. There was lint trapped around the tube & thankfully Dan from Ron's Appliance was able to clear it & now the dryer runs like new!! He also fixed the springs on our dishwasher door as they were broken. Responded quickly but with a very poor attitude and always bothered by questions. Repaired refrigerator and then it broke again within a month. No refund. After another diagnosis, they said the refrigerator was worth fixing. Paid $400 and again it broke. They promised $75 refund (joke) which they never sent. Most companies offer a 1 year warranty on their product & service. In my case it was a month. Called numerous times to get a refund and said it was sent. The he left, only to come back 30 mins later with a revised quote, which was, of course, much more. By the he had already collected his service call fee, and my friend had the good sense to throw him out. She said, and I quote "GET OUT!" So If you know anything about washers, the first thing you should check is the door locking assembly switch. It's a common -- easy -- fix. The part is $25 on Amazon and it takes 15 mins to fix. absolute waste of time and now we have extensive flooring damage due to their ineptitude. we contacted ron's to come and check out a leaking washer. first we were told the person would come Saturday morning. then they decided to last minute cancel. said they'd come sunday. 5pm sunday WE reached out to THEM since we sat home all day, apparently he got stuck at a wedding the night before and wasn't planning on rescheduling or notifying us. finally they show up. they need to order a hose. fine. man comes back with said hose. now he says ANOTHER hose is needed and "it's back ordered". since that second appointment the washer is leaking even MORE. it's leaking OUTSIDE of my house. I guarantee if these fools let us know what "hose" it was, I could find it in less than 10 minutes on the internet and have it here within days, but their lazy shady practice of stringing people along is now causing significant damage to our home. do not ever use these people. we have had similar no show issues with them in the past, but this was the final straw. I am all for supporting local business but when you have people who get drunk and can't drive home and can't bother to cancel appointments, I guess this is the result. hope they enjoy the insurance claim and court if necessary. read more

They are the worst. Trust me, save yourself your time, money and frustration and use another company. Saying they are rude and incompetent is being nice. Initially they responded quickly. Of course, they will to come out and get their service call fee. After they take your money, good luck getting them to actually fix your appliance. Needed a new part they had to order, said would take a couple of days. After not hearing from them for 2 weeks, I had to call them multiple times, the technician finally says the part is in and he will come in 2 days. I take off work, he never shows, does not call. He does this to me 2 times. Finally, the third time he does come and replaces the part. The dishwasher runs once then stops working. Again, takes a couple of days for him to come back over. Says the replacement part was faulty and they will need to send it back and reorder a new one. Again 2 weeks go by we don't not hear from them. My husband speaks to the owner Ron who is rude, gives some excuse about his technician being out of work and he doesn't know what my husband is talking about and asks him to text him the receipt. We do, my husband has to follow up in a couple of days due to no response. Owner says he will look into it and get back to us. That was 5 days ago and still have not heard from him. Total con man, he belongs in jail. They take your money but do not perform the service you paid for. Extremely unprofessional. I have no idea how they stay in business. I called Ron's appliance repair because there was a very strong propane smell every time we turned on our stove. Dan came out and without even checking for a leak or turning on the stove, he said the problem was due to having some soot under the pilot light. He took a paper towel wiped it off and charged me $150. He was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Even before he left, I told him I could still smell the propane and he said it would burn off. Well, it didn't. I called the next day and spoke to the owner, Ron. Without even looking at it, he told me it was going to cost over $250 for an additional part. At the point, the stove was not even worth repairing. I asked him to refund my money (due to his 30 day guarantee) and he got really nasty and refused. The next day I called another appliance repair company and it turns out that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my stove. My propane tank was just running low. They didn't charge me at all. At best, Ron and Dan are extremely rude, unprofessional and unqualified, at worst they're scammers. Steer clear. read more

The only good thing about this company is that they do give quick service. I was told there would be a 45.00 service charge for coming out but NOT told there would be a 85.00 labor fee on top of that. The technician came to repair the water line to my icemaker. He replaced the connector on the hose..a little 5.00 plastic part, took him all of 3 minutes and still charged me the 85.00. When I told him that it was outrageous he said I would have to pay it whether it was 5 minutes or 5 hours. He said this company was a family run honest company then had the audacity to tell me I wouldn't have to pay tax if I gave him cash! So much for honesty!!! I would never use their service again. Big cheats. Called Dan on Dec 16 2020 to fix an issue with my oven. Ron (who had fixed the oven few years back for another issue) came on 19th Dec. Said a part needed to be replaced - took a $100 advance (no receipt given). It has been over 3 months and he never came back to fix it. Every time I call or text him he promised to come - but never actually did . Now he has stopped responding altogether. Called the main office - his brother Ron asked me to send him the receipt for the advance - when I said Dan didn't give me one- he just asked me to call Dan. They need to be reported to the Better Business Bureau for cheating customers. read more

A service technician came out to my house, didn't even inspect the oven, told me I would need a part he would look into, and charged me a fee for coming over (despite being here for 5 minutes and knowing he could have told me I needed that part over the phone) - it's now 6 days later and I haven't heard back regarding the part. When I called to check on the reason they didn't show, they not only couldn't find out who the account was for, but also was treated to the worst customer service by the owner himself, Don or Ron. Quick service with reasonable rates however, highly disappointed. Dryers spinning was fixed with $145 charge however, he damaged the timer knob. When called again thinking it's his fault and will repair free, service person replaced the knob with one cheap quality replacement and charged me $117. My dryer stopped providing heat. I called Ron's appliance because the repair professional, Ed, fixed my washer a while ago. Ed came down and immediately determined the problem, a bad valve coil. He fixed it and also cleaned out the lint from the bottom of the dryer. The price was reasonable and Ed was very professional. read more
