I was in the market for another Dovo straight razor (yes, it's an addiction), which are getting more and more difficult to find, especially at reasonable prices. Most sites list Dovo straight razors as being out of stock, or they are listed as in stock, but then I get an email a few days later saying they don't actually have the razor I ordered. The sites that actually do have them are really taking advantage of supply and demand and gouging customers with insane markups. This site had an accurate representation of their stock, extremely reasonable prices, and excellent product photos and descriptions that sounded like they were written by someone who knows razors. So, I purchased a beautiful all-stainless Dovo (razor and handle). Jesse quickly responded, saying that he would have the razor out the door the next day. The next day, as promised, he wrote me an email saying he had just finished honing the razor and dropped it off at the post office. I was excited that he offered honing. Most sites just send you the razor with a factory edge, which is usually not good enough for a shave. All in all it was an outstanding, personalized online shopping experience. I'd recommend Nelson's for all of your shaving supply needs.

You'll understand what I mean as soon as you walk in. There are almost always locals hanging out, shooting the breeze, and talking about the latest town news. It has that old-school neighborhood barbershop feel that is hard to fake. The owner, Don, is very supportive of local high school sports, which is obvious from all the team pictures on the walls. Most importantly, the cuts are great, the prices are very reasonable, and parking is easy. It's the kind of local business that makes downtown Oconomowoc the gem that it is.
